Wright head was spinning, What just happened, one minute I was holding his hand and next thing I remeber is landing here. Storm Wright pulled himself up and looked at the man running towards the cave, Well I'm suppose to help the Kheldian. Wright got ready to run when he felt the pain in his cheast. He was use to being hurt, but he had never suffered such a blow. "Alright, the calm is over."
Wright launched himself foward with two jump and landed in front of the man and unleashed a punch with all of his might. Like a coiled spring he unleash more force than should be possible to pack into a small area. The punch took the man in the gut and stopped him for a moment. After the moment the man swung back but Wright stopped it with his arm, but he missed the follow-up from the other arm and took a hard hit in the side. Wright's body took the punch, but it knock the air right out of him. Wright backed up as he tried to take desperate breaths through his scrubber. Okay, he's strong and has a grasp of fighting stragey. Oh and he can take a punch that I've put down Trolls with. Oh yeah, I can pick my fights.
(OOC Note: Your move. And one question, what is Tanner, Storm Wright is a Dark Melee(with no negetive energy, he's suppose to box) and invun) -
Storm Wright sighed, few people liked him, it wasn't that he was a jerk or that poeple were. People naturaly choos e to ignore him. He followed the Kheldian up the towards the cave and pulled a pair of sandles out of his pockets and put them on as he walked up. Then the Kheldian attacked someone, The shoot first, ask questions later kind. I guess I should be thankful I'm still alive. Storm Wright hoped the cave dweller was alright, until he found out who he was atleast. Someone else was coming and fast, Wright doubted he was going to help them from the way he was charging. He stood his ground as the man attacked him. The blow would have put a normal man on the ground, but the grey skined Wirght was anything, but normal. His bones made of cartiledge took the blow without causing any of his bones to break. Wright caught the man's other wrist and stopped it and held it like an iron bar. Wright's body looked more like it was desinged for endurence and not strength, so the sudden show was enough to shock the man for maybe a moment. "You got five seconds to convince me your not affilated with any villian group before I fight back. 1..."
(OOC Note: ProfEinstien, I don't know what Tanner uses so I tried to leave it blank. So I leave the details up to you as to how the attacked happened. Even if Tanner is superstrong he is still shocked so he hasn't struggled out just yet. All up to you.) -
A grey man stepped out of the river, he only wore a pair of green pants roled up to his knees. As he got out of the Red River he put a rebreather in his mouth. In a slightly muffled and with a barley noticable Australian accent he said, "Wait up Metheuzula." Storm Wright had been asked to asist the peacebringer, though he doubted the energy being would need it.
He looked up and down the bank of the river and walked up to the Metheuzula now in human form. We'll help you, but we may ask a few favors. Like exploring a cave, Dr. Ferman will pay for this one. He looked at the Peacebringer and then the cave and then he adjusted the long tube that reached around his neck and fitted back into the rebreather. He had to admit it was an amazing invention and pulled all the watr he needed out of the air.
The water was already drying off and he looked at the peacebringer again, "anyone else coming or should we head on in?" -
Just something to add, the contacts in the Shard sell you inspireations backwards. Meaning instead of offering you luck, catch a breath, and rage they sell you insight, respite, discipline, and awaken when you first meet them. After a few missions they will starting offering the remaining inspirations just like a normal contact.
It's probly just a bug, but it's there and probly worth meantioning. -

Also the Cascade side of the molepoint has walls again! (Smart move doing that one first, it's the side where you first have to touch the portal. Not an easy thing when there's no visible portal!)

I thought there was only two molepoints. But more inportantly they're fixing the molepoint invisable bug? -
(OOC Note: Alright lets see if I do this right.)
Alan stepped into a darkened room, the kind he was use to sneaking into when a local gang was about to lose some membership. It was empty, which only made him more cautious. "Over here." Said a women, in a voice that Alan reconized from his life before he was a hero.
"Mom?"
"Not quite," she said as she extended her hand and a flash of negitive energy hit Alan in the stomache. "It you dad."
Alan stared in terror at the figure of his mother. "How...that's not..." He stutered as he recovered from him by the flash.
"Don't look so shocked, what do you think I came back as." Realization Dawned on him. "Thats right, I'm a ghost and I'm possesing your mother." She grinned evily, and shot Alan again. "What are you going to do now?"
Alan barley dodged with a quick jump and covered himself in his shadowy armor. The tendrils wisped about him consuming light, heat, and any energy there was in the air surronding him. He couldn't figure out how he was going to win, he couldn't kill his mother and he doubted he could over power his father. He dodged another bolt. "Why do you call her your mom, Samantha is your mother." Broken Ribs said as he throw more negitive energy at Alan.
"She took me in after Sam abondoned me!" He yell out of fraustartion. How can I win?
"Sorry to hear that son-"
"Don't call me that!" Alan throw himself at his father and tackled him onto the ground. Then he didn't know what to do.
She grinned again and unleash raw death on him. Alan's armor held most of it out. "What are you going to do Alan, killing her isn't going to stop me, but if you don't you die here."
Alan jumped backwards. How can I win? He has mom and he's going to kill me. I knew this was a trap. Then a plan hit him.
"Sorry mom." He said under his breath and he went at Broken Ribs and put his elbow in her stomache. As she collapsed foward he brought the claw like endings on his fingers up her face leaving four cuts.
"What do you think your doing? You think you can go through with killing your mother?" Broken Ribs took a step back anyway.
"No I'm going to kill you. Mom wouldn't want to be your flesh puppet." Alan lauched his own negitive energy burst at his mother and Broken Ribs. He grabbed her and filled the surronding area with negitive energy, even as a ghost this would hurt Broken Ribs.
"I give!" He yelled. "I give." He looked down and his mother changed. "Congradultions Mr. Michov, you have passed the test. If a little roughly." Alan stared at the mystrious voice talking through his mother. "This is just an automation, you didn't actually hurt anyone. Very good plan and very quick thinking. I almost believed your bluff."
"Uh, yeah. So my father wasn't there?"
"Yes, we used him because it was the only situation that we could see you having to change tactics."
"So thats why I didn't feel him." Alan mused, "Right what do I do now."
"Go through that door. The others will be joining you shortly I'm sure." A door on the wall oppistite of the one he had come in through opened. Alan stepped through and dropped his armor. He looked around supciously, he doubted that the test were over.
(OOC Note: Alittle of Alan's history and abit of his skills. This works right?) -
(OOC Note: Manofmanychars, this thread just started and we don't realy know whats going on, this probly not a good time for evil archvillian from hell to show up.)
Alan was getting nervous, everyone here had been at the Academy. He calmed himself and said that there was no need to worry, it's just a coincidence. "Raymond good to see you again, I thought you might have gone back to Englad or something, I couldn't find a trace of you."
"Mr.Michov." Caused Alan to turn. He did reconize the voice, but he had seen Psyosis 'helping' her at the Academy. Helping, yeah right, greed-two-timing-*******.
"Uh sorry miss, I remember seeing you, but I can't remember tour name. Wait I do remember...it was Miss Migrai...whoops." Alan smile ruined his embaressment. "Uh sorry, I didn't mean to, I was trying...I...uh." Alan was generaly tactless and could insult anyone without knowing it, but he never tried on purpose. He had no idea of what was the correct path to take, he usally ment everything he said.
Macheen Gunn halted in his progress when something that had been in the background came into focus. It was a blond man wearing a black jacket of immation leather and worn jeans. His sunglasses were black and made it impossible to see his eyes, in one hand he held a cigarette. "I wouldn't attack them now if I was you." He said as he took a long drag. "Hi again. I know your boss wants nothing to do with me, but think about this first. Your going to attack your enemy where they are strongest. Your were a soldier, think about it. I would surrgest waiting till they leave the building. Best case, they divide up into groups and you could easily take them down. Worst case, at least they won't be able to hide. Think about it man." He started to fade away and it was as if he had never been. On the ground was a cigarette, writen on it in black ink was 'Gunns kill people'.
(OOC Note: Just trying to be helpful.) -
Alan Michov looked down at the card he that had be at his home. Which was odd becuase currently he lived in an abondon office building in Kings Row.
Greetings Alan,
You have been hand selected to participate in our Hero Recruitment Program. We've had our eye on you for some time now and we are extending you this special invitation. If you're interested bring the attached keycard to 8321 Virtue Court in Atlas Park and present it at the door for access. Hope to hear from you soon.
What got him was it not being singed, in the end his curiousity got the best of him. He walked up to the little house and swiped his card.
"DNA Card confirmed. Access granted." Said a voice and the elevator decended. Alan was a very young hero and only recently a legal hero, he was only 5 foot 5. His hair was as black as humanly possilbe and then some, his left eye was covered by an eye patch. He was wearing jeans and a black coat with a rib patteren on it. The things that tended to worry people was the fact that he was always smiling, even in his sleep, it changed, but the edges of his lips always curved upwards.
Alan had been abit depressed after the Academy had went under, not because he liked it there, but he was pretty sure he had made a few friends and to date hadn't been able to find any of them.
He thought about his escape from the Academy in the chaos. He had been free to fight the gangs of paragon. He had also found out about the assassian that had attacked him. He was a former Skull who in his persuit of cheating death had Dr. Vahzilok work on him. His mastery over death and the mad doctor's knowledge had created a ever preserving life, one that could not be ended even if the body was comletely destoryed. More interesting was he had not been told to kill him, and he tended to lay low so why he attacked had becoe a major part of his life.
The lift stopped and he steeped into the room, his eye quickly adjusting to the light. Alan saw Radon, RADON! By accident he had found a friend from the Academy. A gloomy thought hit, in the Academy thay had never said they were friends, in truth he had alomst got him kill and had shown him his worst fear. He realized that Radon might not be thrilled to see him. Alan looked at the other man and desided to risk, "Great to see you again Radon. Who's your friend?" Alan asked as friendly as possibl, he vaguely reconized the other, but they had never realy meet. Two people, thats abit more than a concedence. Part of Alan wanted to look for the exits.
(OOC Note: This is my offical crossing fingers thread.) -
Fox had thrown a knife at the tentical holding Grey Shrike, but requiens whole body had moved and the knife hit the wall. Happy for a moment that he hadn't made himself the center of attention for Requiem and then silently cursing himself for thinking like that. But the machine was gone and thier was no way to stop the sleepers now. He wasn't going to accept that as reality right now, he muttered something about torpedos and charged Requiem. He throw the first knife blade into a tentacle heading for the new hero, it recoiled but quickly went back for it's origanal target, he throw another blade followed quickly by two more he pulled out. He was getting the next to ready when a tentacle clubbed him from behind. He been so intent on protecting the other hero that he was taken completely by surpise. He scrambled to his feet as the second tentacle nearly crushed him. He rolled and stabbed his knife all the way through it till his hand touched the it and he pulled it back. His hand was realy burning, "Son of a biARGGH!" the acid like substance had melted through the back of his shirt and was starting to burn his back. Fox tried to ignore the pain and keep fighting. This is not how I had invisioned this going. He got up and preparedto keep going, he throw another knife at a wounded tentacle, he was getting ready to jump over it when it streaked towards Wolfe Gunner, Fox throw a knife at it and...

Psyosis didn't feel much like jazzercising, he walled his mind off and started to leak some of the negitive energy he had built up over the years to hold off Private Party's power, it was an uphill battle, but at the moment he was holding on. "Number one, I got to check more often. Anyway, my speciality is the absorption of negitive emotions and pain. I pick them up if I want to or not and I hang on to them, they stay with me till I let them out. Took me sometime to learn how to block them out. Still kinda hard to walk down a steert though, I pick up every negitive emotion that happened there in the past ten years and this being Paragon City it's hard to find somewhere where one hasn't happened. Kinda how I got the name, it's a bad play on Osmosis." He was still couldn't believe he was meeting the number one empath, that and how odd he was.
-
Alan watched Celes leave, "Uh, sure, I will." He turned to Raymond saying under his breath, "I think that still counts as father problems." He shrugged. "Back there, I turned my armor off because my power was about to surge. Last time it happened my foster father spent three days on lifesupport and I'm stronger now, I could probly kill the entire gym if that happens, so if I died then it would probly be a good trade. We should probly get back to the gym, well call this match in your favor alright." Alan started back to the gym, he was slightly nervous and managed not to show it. His 'father' had come this close to him, to date the closest had been the Skyway sighting.
"Nevermind Radon, I have to talk to Alan anyway." Psyosis got up as he spoke. "You'll be fine Radon, I got all the pain and all the damage I could fnd is gone and your normal feelings of dread and such will be returning to normal any second now." He started to walk out when, what he was fair sure was a clown walked in. And used a wave that took away all the negitive feelings he had at that moment, with the exception of those that he had stashed away, though some of it was shaved off.
Psyosis placed his face and was immediatly interested in the man. He walked over to Private Party, "Hello Private Party, I'm Psyosis, last time I checked I was number three on the list of empaths." He had always wanted to meet the others on the list to see how thier powers differed.
(OOC Note: He is third only because he very good with negitive emotions, but he is almost blind to postive one.) -
Alan hadn't thought about this, "Uh well, yes I kinda know him. You see, uh, your not the only one here with father problems. No one believes me, but I think you just saw Broken Ribs, my father." Alan perma-smile became very weak. "He died in a gang fight before I was born, that was 18 years ago. But he's been back for the last two. Any tests they've done say he hasn't even come back to life." He looked at Celes's red eyes. "Uh, did he say anything?"
General Outrage eyed him, shook his head and walked back to the gym, probly thinking something along the lines as of 'We have to keep the nutjob here why?' On the upside, Alan thought it's not hard to stabd anymore. -
Psyosis ignored General Outrage as he healed Alan. "I should be able to, but there is more pain here than a head wound could cause. I think it's...yes that was the problem." He encourged his skull to heal and close the cracks and asorbed the pain. Alan opened his eye and sat up.
"What the h...he still here!" And Alan got up and started running.
Psyosis followed him, "Wait, who?" then saw Radon trying to get up and went to help him. He drew all Radon's pain into himself, along with every other negitive emotion going through him. He crouched down and asked quietly "What are you so worried about."
The dark figure got up from next to Cele, "Well I got other things to do today. But take my advice seriously, I hate to see your father get ahold of you." He took his Sunglasses off revealing two empty sockets with the skin around it peeled away. "Hope we meet again." And he started to turn into mist and float apart till he simply stopped being.
Alan came around the corner, "Damnit, I just missed." He noticed General Outrage and Cele. "Uh, was there someone else here just now. -
"I'm pretty good with claws, I got to practice non-lethal fighting." Alan said as he prepared to get out of the way of Raymond ax. As the blunt end came towards him every bone in his body tried to escape. His dark armor shut off instinctivly, it was worse than yesterday. Unfortunatly Raymond was already swinging his ax and it hit him in the side of the head. Alan went out like a light.
Psyosis went over quickly, "Why did he drop his armor?" As he started to draw the pain into him, there was alot of it. "What did you do to him?" Psyosis looked at Raymond.
A dark figure wearing worn jeans and a black jacket sat down next to Cele and took a drag off a cigarette. "You alright?" He asked the sobbing hybred. "I'll take that as a no. If it makes you feel any better that was an impressive show in there." He chuckled. "Take right after your old man." That seemed to get her attention. "No I don't work for him, I hate his...I'm not sure if he has guts. But thats not the point, someone like you has got to take precautions, it's only a matter of time isn't it. Your soul is getting smaller after all." He chuckled darkly. "Alan has an agreement penned up that asks the Night Watch to kill him if he loses his soul. Cigarette?"
(OOC Note: Forgot to add that Alan wasn't paying attention to anyones fight, but his own and Psyosis was going to help, but Alan face down took priority.) -
Alan fought the way he always had when he wanted to take a thug without him collapsing from blood lose. This ment he couldn't use his claws or his fist, but that left a perfectly good set of elbows, knees, and feet at his disposal and wasn't at all afraid to use them. He tryed to keep away from the ax, I thought this was suppose to be none lethal. But his armor keep him safe when he couldn't get out of the way, which unfortunatly was often, Raymond was good a what he did and every trick Alan knew was only slowing him down. And so the mismatched fight of well disaplined axmenship and dirty fighting continued.
-
Fox came out of the trance expecting to find blood on his knives and be standing outside of the base. He was shocked to find himself standing in the same spot. Grey Shrike ran towards a machine and Fox followed, he had no idea what was going on. The super sleeper lay on the ground, a girl again and unconcious. Maybe it's over. the he saw Requiem, the man who had caused all this, before he even knew what he was doing he throw a knife right for Requiem's heart, it hit something else and was deflected. Requiem grinned and a bolt of black came from his eyes, Fox barely dodged. "Well done Fox, the first to acctualy try something." He said sarcasticly. Fox had a knife in each hand and was ready for battle.
-
Fox looked around and quickly figured out they had been teleported. He saw Rock-Hopper behind them, "I want my mommy..." Fox saw the unholy creature for the first time.
"My...God..." Was all he could say, he had to remain focused, but the little girl, there was something wrong. He quickly igured it out, she was still aware, SHE'S STILL AWARE!
"You four stay in the back; only Heroes as powerful as the members of 'Final Justice' have a chance against this thing!" For a second Fox thought about staying, then he caught up with himself. He didn't have to take orders. Fox stood tall and drew two knives and looked at the girl and felt sick. He couldn't do it, not like this, it didn't matter what people thought of him, it mattered what he thought of himself. A haze memory told him he had killed childern like her, but he wasn't that man, he was Fox Soldier, he was a Hero.
But the thing was, he could do it and so many people would die if he didn't. Fox made the hardest decesion in his life, he was going to go into deep trance, surronded by strangers and against a little girl. He was going to hate himself for this, but he couldn't think of another way.
"Tell me to kill her. Don't ask, just do it." Fox said to Grey Shrike and Tick-Tok, he didn't say it loud enoughh for Rock-Hopper to hear so no one else would know. "And when it's over tell me to wake up." He hoped he could trust them. Fox heard the girl crying as he went into Deep Trance. All of his sense were sharp, except he lost feeling, short of death nothing could stop him. His mind closed off all uneccary functions, like logic and reason. He was a weapon waiting for a hand to weild him. -
At the moment Fox's strongest sense, hearing, told him someone else had come into the sewer, he hoped it was one of the heroes he had met. My god, how do you get into the Phalax? "Uh Shrike," he hesitated, he didn't want to burn any bridges at the moment. "Shrike, we need to hurry, we don't have alot of time till Requiem kills the next hostage and the sleepers are rampaging in the street, could we hurry to...CnC. Uh, are you guys coming?" Fox liked having more allies, but when they had names with ranks in them it made him very nervious. He pussed it aside for the moment, he just hoped they didn't try and take command, he might find himself following.
(OOC Note: Fox's biggest fear is leaders, he has listen to one all of his life and it's hard for him not to follow orders. So anyone who starts giving orders is likly to scare him.) -
Sad part is I would end up in the psyciatric ward. Alan glared at Psyosis. He turned and bowed to Raymond for no other reason than Raymond had, he assumed it was proper procedure. He was soon cover in shadows and welcome the first attack, in his experience the first strike can determine the whole fight. He charged and at the last second leaped to Raymonds side and hit him with his elbow on the side and caught his falling chin on his fist, Raymond's chin which was unfortunatly quickly covered with stone, Alan's claws dug into his palms and his knuckles fell like he had hit, well a brick wall. He quickly backed away. So much for deciding this match on the first strike.
Psyosis walked over to Outrage. "Good morning General, I trust all is well at the today?" General Outrage's eyes didn't leave the Cadets. "Good, I was wondering if you could get me a few minutes with the Psychic cadet, I believe I could..."
"Recuit her right. I won't let you, enough of you dragging the title of hero through the mud as is."
Psyosis waited patiently for him to finish. "I have no intention of recuiting her, I just want to talk with her."
"Forget it."
"I don't need to remind you how much money Hero Corp donated to this academy."
"You donated the money you can't take it back."
"We could correct the media on the places that donated, I sure the Chief mearly forgot about us."
General Outrages face twitched as he wrestled against his morals. "Fine, you have three minutes."
"Thank you General."
(OOC Note: Hero Corp didn't officaly donate to the Academy, it was covered up to avoid bad publicity. I hope you don't mind this Manofmanychars, but I figure more than a few groups donated to it's construction and having Hero Corp on your list of funders is never a good idea.
Alan attempted to use a fist because he nows Psyosis is nearby and that would have ended the fight right there) -

Nope, I beat them both to the punch. -
Psyosis pulled her pain into himself and transfered most of it into a kind of stasis that he could make use of later, a tiny bit affected him, but he was use to it. Some migrain, who ever did this had hide himself very well, I didn't even sensed a hint. He checked for any damage to the brain, finding nothing he withdrew his mind. "There you go." He said brightly. "I'm sorry, but I forgot to ask your name. Still I was wondering if I could talk to you privately about your barrier, it was quite impressive." Mental, and with limated skill he sent a broadcast that effectivly boiled down to 'I know whats going on, let me help you.' Directly to her.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Lord Raymond, I hope we have a chance to talk again. Alan I will talk to you after your done for the day."
"Next time come here when we're still doing hand to hand drills." Alan's nasty voice didn't fit his smile, even one as full of teeth and malicious as the one he had,
"I'll make sure of it." Psyosis said without a hint of sarcasm. He motioned to Akazi to follow him. "If you don't mind, I think I can help with your migraines." He sisn't know if he needed someone permission for this, so he only asked Akazi.
(OOC Note: Psyosis isn't attending the academy so he is ignoring it. Aan has already told history so he'll tell him when everyone else is done.) -
Psyosis smiled at the British man, "I'm from Hero Corp and I came by to check on Alan..."
"I bet you did, you two timeing bas..." Alan started
"It was for your own good, trust me on this." Psyosis tone was very cheery and clearly not what made Alan stop, Alan stopped mostly because this man was his only ticket to freedom. He had to give Alan a clean bill of mental health. "As I was saying Raymond, I'm from Anarbor Michigan until I joined Hero Corp. And I agree, it is a heroes job to help people, the differecne is I get payed for it, only way I could make it as a full time hero." He said cheerfully, Alan snorted. He turned back to the women he was helping. He tried again hoping she would trust him.
(OOC Note: I post when ever a computers handy and I don't have anything else to do.) -
Psyosis recoiled from the shock of being forced out, "You must be very powerful psychic to do that." He smiled warmly, he was here for two reasons after all, one to check up on Alan and to do a little head hunting for Hero Corp. "I'm sorry, I must have startled you. I'm Psyosis and I'm an empath. You can drop your barrier, I'm not going to hurt you, I'm just going to help with the pain." He looked at the other hero, "Thanks for coming to help her so quickly, but she'll be fine in my hands. I give you my assurance that I know exactly what I'm doing."
He knelt down next to the women and closed his eye, he could see everyone else's emotions except hers, it was like a black void, he could only tell where she was by the lack of felling. Either she wasn't very good or, more likly, she did it hastely. "You can check if I'm lying if it would make you fell better, I promise that I only want to help, it's my job to help people." He reached out with his mind to see if she would drop the barrier and let him take the pain away.
