I'm getting a message that i can't connect to the login server. Is there maintenence or something? Server page says all servers are up...

what does canon-based costumes mean? I can see it's to do with recreating costumes of npcs in the game, but where does 'canon' come into it?

I did design a range of alternative PPD uniforms a while back, but they're not based on actual npcs, they were just a bit of fun so not sure if this is the place to post them... i'll link instead

Is this something related just to CoH, or to Comic book superheroes in general? I ask because although i think energy/energy blasters certainly are an iconic superhero theme, i also think the super strength/invulnerability set is up there too, and would prolly prompt a totally different kind of costume. Food for thought

Hi, nice ideas in the bio there, should be a fun character to play. I've designed a couple of costumes for you. Incidently there are many other colours of ants aswell as black and red. There's brown, green, orange, all sorts of colours, so you have a bit of choice for the final colouring whilst maintaining an ant theme.

The first costume is as you asked, all tights, and based very closely on the art depiction you posted but coloured as a black ant.



To be honest tho it's a bit too plain for me, and was hard to include any more elements without losing the all tights, spiderman/batman beyond look...

Which is why i've posted the next two pics, which move away from the tights look altogether. I've tried to base it on the look of an ants shell, especially the head with it's pincer jaws.



I know you said you didn't want an armoured look, and it doesn't fit with the bio so well, so might not suit you at all. Was just an idea tho, you might be able to use some of it, prehaps the helmet with all tights body or something... anyway, hope you like them and they can give you some ideas for a final costume

Scoot, i've really enjoyed looking at this thread. I'm a pen/paper artist but really want to get into digital art, especially in the comic book art area. Two things have really inspired me in the last month... one is my mate who's doing a Maya course, and the other is you. Thanks for that mate

right click in the chat window, scroll down to 'join channel', a box will appear allowing you to enter the channel name. Once entered, right click in the chat window again and scroll down to 'edit tab'. A new window opens with all the current traffic assigned to that chat box. Find the chat channel you just joined on the right hand side, highlight it, click add, click ok. You should now be able to see that channels traffic in your window too.

Hi, some more costumes to post I've tried to move away from the chest plate/power ranger look this time, lol

First up is an SS tanker. I wanted to try and create a toon that was very obviously representing England and also had an air of justice and pure spirit. Don't have a name for him yet but something like Justice System maybe?


Next up is Cybortron, but i'm thinking i may have stolen that from transformers, sounds familiar... ahh, i did, just googled it, ahh well, lol


Next is an MA scrapper, Green Falcon, going to use leather strap legs more often i think.


Pixie Dust, not assigned any archetype to her yet.


And lastly, although i can't take any credit for designing this toon as it's an existing comicbook character, is Iron Patriot. Only posted him coz i like the way it turned out

Hi guys, thanks for the welcome i've been given on Union server, really cool I'm obviously a late starter in this game, but loving it none the less. Find myself spending hours just designing costumes, lol. I'm getting to grips with the invention system to unlock some costume pieces and just got cloaks unlocked, but not got any other unlocks yet.

Anyway, here's some costumes i've done so far. Hope i've not posted too many Cya ingame.

Hi everyone, just started playing tonight and wanted to say Hello. This isn't completely my first experience of CoX tho, i did the trial early last year, loved the game and subscribed straight away. Unfortunely i didn't have time to play that much and in the end couldn't keep it going.

Back and raring to go now tho, and as i'd hardly learn't anything last time, and have forgotten anything i did learn (like how to walk, how to speak, etc, lol!) , i'm starting out again. Looking forward to meeting you

That can't be right can it? maint patch from 1-3pm every day?
