While there is a tad bit of hyperbole in my post it's basically true. There are a few misses. Some AT's miss occasionally. But do die that quick.

Somebody link to how to record a demo and I'll post them.

    /demorecord [filename]
    /demostop

The demo recording is saved as a text file in CoHTest/client_demos. The filename can't contain spaces.

Also, can a Tank defeat a Brute? Tanker damage is weak, and they don't have the benefit of Fury.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Tanker base damage is more than brute base damage, and their defense a helluva lot better. My tanker has never lost to a brute in single combat. Brutes are not a challenge, anymore. Like you said, Scrappers have a decent chance, As do Blasters... but Brutes?

Brutes in their current PVP incarnation are quite pathetic compared to the other melee archetypes. Fury *needs* to be fixed. Badly.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well put. A Brute fighting a Tanker is usually a long drawn out fight, but due to the way Fury functions in PvP the Tanker will usually come out on top.

If a Brute could get their Fury building, though, that would be a very enjoyable fight.

Just wondering... What other Signature Characters are there? Since the zone is dominated by Heroes, Signature Heroes never pop up. So far ive seen Statesman, Back Alley Brawler, and Positron. Who else comes in on the action?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I've also seen Sister Psyche, Manticore, and heard that Synapse made an appearence (didn't get a chance to see him before he despawned).

Currently, the exit to Atlas Park is broken. Once you get into the zone, you can't leave (the option isn't there). While this is only a minor inconvienence on Test, this would be crippling on the live servers. Can we please see a fix for this ASAP? Thanks.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I've never had difficulties exiting the zone. Although, the hero base is a bit confusing. Took me an hour the first time to remember the entrance was facing west. Then it took me another hour to remember that the portal was on the top floor of the underground complex and around a corner.

We are able to buff and heal the signature characters that arrive to help, which I absolutely love. However, currently there seems to be no way to see a fight between Recluse and Statesman, or between any other signatures; when one side's reinforcements spawn, the other side's despawn. This battle was shown in both past screenshots and the game trailer released this week. Were these instances staged, or was it intended that they might actually occur?

Speaking of AVs, I saw a few show up and they were also unimpressive. A few heroes working together decimated Lord Recluse in short order. What's worse, I rushed to fight Black Scorpion at a pillbox where "Arachnos reinforcements have arrived" and after I got him targeted, he despawned! Please, don't have them despawn if the battle is over, just let them roam around. Give them preprogrammed aggro on every pillbox in the zone if you have to.

I agree, it's extremely annoying to hear that Ghost Widow has spawned, travel to her location, and get there just in time for her to despawn. This is partly due to how quickly the matches are running at the moment, and it should get better once a good number of villains get to 50, but it still seems counter-productive. We want to fight these characters, not just catch a glimpse of them. Maybe give them a retreat path back to their base, rather than having them just disappear.

A question: does anyone know if the AV's can be buffed and healed by their faction? This could lead to the epic PvP battles many want, forcing us to balance fighting each other as well managing the AV.

    Moon Hazard Zone

I love these ideas and the way they're presented. If nothing else, they'd make a unique Pen and Paper campaign (once the CoH RPG is released, of course).

    COV Accolades??

No information on them yet except that they will be part of Issue 7.

EDIT: Dang, beaten to the punch by Positron.

Three tables and a lone chair are all that can be seen, lit by a solitary shaft of light that may as well come down from heaven itself. You blink, then he is there, framed in shadow: Statesman. His helmet gleams in that sacred light, his cape flapping slightly from a mysterious breeze.
He takes his seat, and in a single blur of movement, he conjures his decks from the ether, shuffles them, and places them neatly. This is all far too fast for the naked eye, but noone challenges the legality of it, for he is Statesman!
You then note it odd; no chairs are present for his would-be opponants. The reason soon becomes all too clear, as they are beaten long before their posteriours would ever hit cushon (if the cads who oppose him even deserve the nicities of a cushon).
Foe after foe steps up, and is promptly whisked away until they have had enough, then with a flash of Zeus's lightning, the incomperable Statesman takes to the sky... leaving you alone in the near darkness with only the smell of ozone and smoke to keep you company.

How much are the Battlepacks retailing for, anyways?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    About five dollars.
  10. I've picked up two boxes of boosters and two boxes of battlepacks, and have come to the conclusion that this is plenty of cards until I buy sealed packs for tournament play.

The rule system looks more intimidating than it actually is. Gameplay is fast-paced, as each player is only allowed one action each turn. It's a simple approach to keeping a game moving, and can create some rather intricate and unique strategies. I've found standard 1-on-1 games are very enjoyable, and team matches are even more so.

To be entirely truthful, its unlike any card game I've played. But battlepacks come with a decent selection of cards to get a feel for the game. They're rather inexpensive, too, making it easy to try the game out and come to your own conclusions.

Assuming all goes as planned, the event shall begin sometime this afternoon. Villains just aren’t morning people after all…

    [/ QUOTE ]

Villains may not be morning people, but I am! And I've got tests this afternoon and evening, so I'll have to wait to join the fun. That truly is evil.
