so much VIP elitism here. obviously they aren't going to give the whole game away for free but why is the requirement for use of IOs you earned/bought/slotted while a paying customer so high? 4-5 years of sub isn't worth throwing someone a bone? 6 years is? I just don't get it. i know there will be lots of worthless responses but this is enough of an issue to get me not to play any of my three accounts (this sub ends in Oct) since most of my favorite characters are on the two newer accounts and I have no interest in playing a shadow of the character I worked so long and hard to build. So what you say, they don't lose or gain anything? i guess depends on how you look at it, i have a tendency to buy packs and names changes but I guess that isn't revenue they want and isn't revenue the elitist VIPs here don't want Paragon Studios to have.

I think the vet requirement for io usage should be dropped. As it stands, of the three accounts I've used over the years, only one of them will get any playtime once this account's sub drops. That is two other accounts worth of microtransactions lost because my toons are either unplayable or a shadow of their former selves with just SOs. As it stands now, free to play is only a viable option for the really old school vets.

In light of the past few months on liberty, I think this thread has a whole new batch of relevance

additionally, I believe that AR should be excused from recharge times as conceptually, i should not have to reload my gun ever 4-6 bullets. in exchange for this there should be a slight damage debuff overtime that would simulate wear and tear on the gun. resting would fix this as it could simulate gun maintanence.

the use of endurance really doesn't fit too well with AR blasters. I assume i'm supposed to pretend that its my ammo supply but then how is it regenerating? I think that AR should be excused from endurance usage and instead should get a penalty to influence received to account for the purchase of ammunition.
