Quote:Sooooo I log in at Pocket D at 10:50PM EST wondering where everyone is. I wait until 11:20PM wondering where everyone is. So I look at the forum and wonder what is going on.... and see that you posted TODAY at 11:49AM that the time changed.......... Nice notice guys. I wasn't able to represent my server thanks to your lack of notice. If I had known EVERYONE was going to be at 9:00 PM I would have logged on that time. I checked yesterday if the time was changed, and I asked this question twice as to the time. I even checked the main events page.... nothing. Am I supposed to look at the forum every minute of the day to see if you guys changed anything? If you had told us all earlier, maybe a few days earlier.... I would have been able to log on earlier. VERY POORLY RUN GUYS!
What post are you looking at that I posted at 11:49am Jade?
The final judging went very quick due to the following:
Only had to judge 12 people at most, 1 winner from each server for male/female hero/villain
Not all server winners were present, knocking some sections to 6, this is an example of Male Heroes tonight
Sorry for any confusion this has caused you Jade

Quote:Router/firewall blocking it?I recently moved from the United States to the Middle East and can't get CoH updater to work. Does anyone have a suggestion? It won't connect. It just cycles through connection attempts. I have no problems with Guild Wars but I can't get CoH to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise it'll be a long 6 months before I re-deploy back to the States.
A few updates ago, NCsoft made the updater just cycle through numbers til it connects, and never getting stuck.
But check PlayNcsoft.com and see if you find any threads or posts by them and see if you can pinpoint your issue.
If all else fails, submit a support ticket.
Good luck!

Merry Christmas to all!
May you guys find love and happyness today. -
Final week!

As with all contests, a band of 3 is brought along to make it fair on everyone who entered.
With this, our three judges were not from Pinnacle, but from other servers. The taste each person has, is well, different.
For me, a simple costume is best, on the flip side, a person who spends hours and hours in Icon to get a dramatic costume down, something always seems amiss when its finished.
And Jade, the finalist judging starts at 9pm EST in Pocket-D on the Test Server. All sections will be judging at the same time. So basically, its very important to show up on time.

Quote:I know I was Jade!Okay, I entered in my Brute, Lady Death Knight to represent female villains. I found it funny that I was the only one standing there for a while as 3 judges looked at my toon. I'm guessing there must have been someone else that was judged earlier... I hope.. otherwise 3 judges were just oogling my toon for 10 minutes imagining her naked or something

Nvidia new drivers got released today, 195.62.
Does the new one do anything better? I personally can't tell from driver to driver if it does anything, and I feel lazy today to spend 10mins doing it.
Thanks in advance.

So us poor people that don't have a strong power supply, my little old 8600 GT card will have to do with the max regular settings.

The Player Events Resource Committee (P.E.R.C.) has been changing over the years. We are currently building to operate cross server events on all servers every other month. We intend to have events on every server every month thru our various members and friends. However, to achieve these goals we must grow as a group. We are looking for individuals who enjoy running player events. Players who want to build community and forge fun, interesting and unique events. If this interests you please take a read at the detailed message below
A Little about P.E.R.C.
The Player Event Resource Committee is a gathering of players from every server that are dedicated to enhancing the City of Heroes/Villains experience by helping plan, support, and run different projects on a server and game-wide level. We operate on various levels from running our own events to assisting others within the community for their events. We offer our experiance and numbers to help with player events across the community. Our shared goal is to help complement our existing community projects through events like contests, games, badge tours, and the exploration of both new and existing game content.
P.E.R.C. is recruiting members across all servers in various capacities. We are looking for people to run events, artists, writers, planners, and promoters. No one person needs to fit all of these but have an interest in player events and community. Below is a brief explanation of why these qualities are very important to our effort.- Event Runner - The front line of our group. These individuals are present during the events and are responsible for maintaining a fun atmosphere and keeping events fair and honest. They keep everything running smoothly and allowing all that attend to have fun.
- Artists - A picture is worth a thousand words. This hold true more often then not. Having banners and posters for our events is very important to our group.
- Writers- Often its not only what you say but how you say it. This is true with most things including Player Events. Writers take our ideas for events and break it down to be clear and understandable. Having an idea and translating it to text is very important to us. Writers are also important for our story contests.
- Planners - Being organized is one thing, having the right plan is another. Planners make sure our ideas are sound and the best they can be. These individuals would be involved with building future events while everyone else is focused on current events.
- Promoters - Getting the message out is always a top priority. It is said only 10% of the players' population read the forums. This is where promoters are important to our events. They may be in game as channel moderators, community leaders and so on. Players will go to events if they know the event is happening (and if it interests them). Promoters also are excellent contacts to have to get the opinion of a server about an event before it even happens. Having an idea of what to expect is a great thing for any organization.
Thank you for your time - Event Runner - The front line of our group. These individuals are present during the events and are responsible for maintaining a fun atmosphere and keeping events fair and honest. They keep everything running smoothly and allowing all that attend to have fun.
