  1. Well, that shows me! Nevertheless, as far i've concluded about Stalkers is they're supposed to be the hard hit then swiftly move back into the shadows (good way to mean hide,) then strike again, type of character.

As for the layout, it appears from your screenshot there that, since your character's a sword using Stalker right? that its a very hard hitting character. But the bad difference with Stalker and a Stalker with Spines, seems to be their endurance and their health.

Thought thats not going to be discussed here wrong place to as well. But it will be said about to discuss how my layout will give me the best ways to fight. Seems I tend to need some more slots with some defense, 2 defense enhance possibly?

At the moment, my health usually gets taken down much more than I do the damage, mostly due to now knowing i've not got enought enhancements in place to deal with my enemies fast enough. But why I use presence so far, is down to me not knowing enough about what slots, how many enhance I need ect at the time when I got it. But it does find its uses:

Such as bringing out one foe at a time, picking them from the mob/crowd, then repeat, also the intimidate invokes fear, giving me a few seconds to get in a extra bashing or possible to use placate or Assassin's Impaler without added fists/weapons hitting me and knocking out the critical strike.

One other thing i've heard about, and even read vie some powers in CoV is that the Stalker and the abilities in presence arn't as good as when a scrapper gets it! What is the main difference - advantage/disadvantage between the Scrapper and Stalker?

Other than that, thanks and i'll appreciate any more replies.
  2. Hello fellow Stalkers, may you have lots of fun like I do. Enough with the pleasentries. As the title suggests, this is for you, stalkers of CoV to rate my layout.

(Note: Sorry if its a large post in your view but, its necessary for a full understanding of things in my post.)

I've taken screenshots of these to compliment my words between each of the screenshot. (Note: screenshots are somewhat small due to image-holder website restrictions.)

Now, i've tried my best to effectivly make Harlie (shortname,) to be capable of dealing his damage fast and quick. My approach to things when solo is not being able to slug out with a group of more than 4 - 5-ish at every one time due to Stalkers having low health. But also to help me stop any irritant attacks on me as I tackle each enemy in a one on one basis. Taken one down, make another uncapable of shooting or moving, tackle the one who's not incapacitated, then move onto the next/last. If that makes sense.

Now we will go to the screen layout, words of each power are between each screenshot.

(Note: For the first part of your reply, please state only if how many slots I have for each power is good, also not, don't reply about the enhance, but only if you so feel its good to improve feedback - however, note that i'll eventually get the best enhance(s) for each power.

(also on another note: in the second part of your replies, please give some information on what enhancements I could use slotting into my powers, below i'll say what enhancements I have in each power, cheers.)

(Note on Editing of post: Seems the UBB Image code doesn't like where the image(s) are sited, no matter, can just copy and paste, but also on a ask, if you could, suggest me a good image-holding website to place my images, cheers!)

The powers and their enhancements are as followed:

    Primary Powers:
    - Spines -
    1: Barb Swipe - 1 (30) Catalyst Improved Damage (CAT), 1 (26) Visor, 1 (27) Breastplate and 1 (27) Awakening Reduced Endurence (ARE).
    2: Lunge - 1 (30) CAT, 1 (30+) Visor, 1 (30) ARE.
    3: Assassin's Impaler - 3 (3) CAT, 2 (30) Awakening Improved Accuracy and 1 (27+) Torque.
4: Build Up - (nothing really important, requiring better enhancements.)
    5: Impale - 1 (30+) Catalyst Increased Immobilization, 1 (31)Genome Alteration Reflex Boost and 1 (29+) Torque.

    Secondary Powers:
    - Super Reflexes -
    1: Hide - 1 (29+) DNA Resequencing Shield Boost, 1 (27+) Amlet.
    2: Focused Fighting - 1 (30) Catalyst Defense Extension, 1 (30+) Awakening Reduced Endurance.
    3: Forcused Senses - 1 (30) Cataclyst Defense Extension, 1 (30) Awakening Reduced Endurance.
    4: Agile - 1 (30) Catalyst Defense Extension.
5: Practised Brawler - 1 (26+) Molecular Bonding Arenal Boost (1 Training Recharge enhancement.)
    6: Dodge - 1 (3) Catalyst Defense Extension.

    Power Pools:
    - Inherent -
    1: Brawl - 1 (29+) DNA Resquencing Damage Boost.
2: Prestige Power Sprint - (useless and looks incredibly awrful for having gold pixie magic springling behind, unless a Villain is having a bad attempt at keeping a little secret!)
3: Sprint - (nothing much beyond some speed boosting enhance, out of the range to have any effect on it though.)
4: Rest - 1 (28++) Training Recharge Reduction, 1 (25++) Activation Accelecration which is out of effect lvl range, and something else, it doesn't really matter.

    - Leaping -
1: Combat Jump - (1 Training Endurance Reduction, out of effect range/level, another to do with higher jumping.)
2: Super Jump - (nothing currently slotted into it at the moment, but its fun to use and makes traveling fast.)

    - Presence -
    1: Challenge - 1 (30) Genome Alteration Range Boost, 1 (29) Helmet.
    2: Intimidate - (1 Training Reduction enhance,) 1 (28) Awakening Extended Range, 1 (29) Helmet.

    - Concealment -
1: Stealth - (nothing slotted there at the moment.)

So, there you have it! What do you lot think?

If you could do so, make a reply in this order:

1: Brief view on what you think of my power choice ect, plus what powers including pool powers you'd choose.

2: What your view on my choices to place slots are, and how you'd place them to best effectivness.

3: What enhancements you'd use in what power and how many you'd put (note: one obvious thing everyone will do when they can is get So enhancements and get them to ++ for max power/defense/endurance(recharge/reduction ect), so no need to say about that.)

4: Finally, what your overall way of using all the powers ect, to good use is? And a nice ending to your post as well, cheers.
  3. Thoughts on the my Assassin's Impale (& eqiv):

Mostly I try to assassinate everyone before slashing, mutilating and impaling them to death. Assassin's Impale includes everything I can/have assassinate(d). These include a gate! and... 'shifty eyes' even filing cabinet :P.

For me, ive taken the power pool/travel power: Teleport. Very good bid, very useful for those handy hide and seek moments, helps alot for AI = Assassin's Impale (or equiv) but leaves lacking any chance of getting flying foes. But I stand by what ive chose

But the other thing with having teleport is that I usually quickly click for the AI then quickly click the teleport then send myself up onto some high building they'll ether take some seconds to fly up to, or can't get to, then zap back again and finish em off, or zap else where, where they won't find you. Untill you strike again.

As for my slotting, I have it at 2 or 3 damage enhance so far, 1 recharge, 1 accuracy, though those are relic and prop over a few thousand infamy priced enhancements, does good so far.
  4. First time post on the boards, but ive tried out the tips and command macros, they work a treat. Very happy :-)
