Well you language skillz seem fine to me Krutht
You know the standard. Defending the weak and slapping around bad guys so people can go on with their relatively normal lives, and training
Kia was a late bloomer as mutants go and didnt get her powers until in her early twenties. The event s that brought them to the surface still have their emotion scars and probably always will, but she will keep punching lowlifes in the face cause it does make her feel better. Though her hero ID categorized her has a defender she always considered herself a scrapper and was always in the middle of the fight. More than once she had to picked up off the ground at the end of the fight though, but stubborn does what stubborn does.
-------
Hali took a seat nearby. The clockwork king is wery dangerous, and please call me Hali
She and her team had fought the clockwork king numerous times. It almost seemed that everybody had to go up against him at one point in their career. Hali was excellent at migrating damage for her teammates but lacked the force to take down the monster on her own.
You are wery fortunate to be safe now, having gone up against that metal monster. Many heroes probably have been sent ere from that thing -
[Graves:]
The four wandered over to the large oak tree and placed their lanterns down. Zach and Sacrum were still mumbling to each other and snickering. Apparently, whatever they thought to be in store for the evening they figured would be easy.
Sacrum puffed out his chest and was about to taunt Marrous and his little girl, but Marrous cut him off with a simple word and Sacrum backed down.
Dig!
Zach snickered again and Sacrum forced a nervous laugh to save face, and gave Zach an encouraging slap on the shoulder. Zach immediately started in on the ground with his shovel.
Isabel smirked showing her dimples; Zach was never one to think things completely through. He had brawn but not very much brains. Isabel circled the ground for a minute before settling on a spot further down the hill to dig at. Zach and Sacrum laughed again thinking that her hesitation was more than it was. Isabel didnt waste her energy laughing when Zach hit the first tree root while digging. She simply smiled to herself and kept digging.
Zach dug with zeal and much frustration whenever he hit a root. Isabel took her time and tried to save her energy.
Isabel could feel the mysterious liquid that she consumed earlier begin to take its affect. Her senses sharpened and she was becoming ravenously if not violently hungry. Despite the hunger, she felt energetic and didnt tire as she dug. The smell of the fresh earth was exhilarating to her new heightened senses. It held a promise of death that thrilled and excited her. She developed painful blisters on her hands but was able to ignore them and simply let them bleed freely as she dug.
The fear was still there, but it didnt paralyze her. If there was a way through this, shed find it, or shed die. Those were her only choices.
Isabel managed to finish her hole several minutes before Zach as he had to hack at numerous roots with his shovel to complete his grave. Marrous reached down with a strong hand and easily plucked Isabel from her grave. Her dark eyes fruitlessly searched Marrouss all black eyes for meaning in all of this. She had ruined her pretty little cream colored dress while digging it was filthy from dirt and the spots of bright crimson blood.
The dark liquid still infused her with vitality and she realized that it urged her mind toward violence. She concentrated to keep her head clear. She would need her wits to survive whatever was ahead.
Sacrum with some fumbling managed to help Zach out of his grave once it was completed. Zach too was bleeding from blisters on his hands. In the lantern light, the blood shone in vibrant crimson, all the deeper red due to the lack of any other color around it.
Again, Marrous seized Isabel by the upper arm demanding her attention. He dragged her away from the other two and brought his face close to hers to speak quietly. For Marrous that made his voice into a low and threatening growl.
This aint no game Is Marrous produced a large bowie knife from inside his coat, up the hill Isabel could see Zach playing with a similar knife, slashing at the air. You take this knife and you kill him. Kill him dead! Marrous dropped the knife in Isabels hand. She looked at it for a long moment, the brewing violence in her mind wanting nothing else.

((Ill take some comments. It feels like Im writing in a vacuum with only a handful of people reading here. I had hoped that non-SH101 would enjoy reading this as there is very little that requires being familiar with SH101. The Duel is next so the pace should pickup.)) -
((Have fun in Canada T-bug. Im tentatively scheduled to go up there for two days next week.))
Captain Roberts appeared at the door and gave some instructions to the two orderlies. They in turn left. Captain Roberts had a fully armed and armored security team just across the hall if Allissa decided to become unpleasant. They were there mostly for Ella but would work just the same versus Allissa. ((Feel free to use them as needed T-bug))
Captain Roberts departed he had a meeting with the Director.
Several staff members came into the room and started cleaning up left over trash and clearing the food tables, starting with the perishable foods. There was still plenty of food about for late arrivals if they so choose.
Hali turned to Jhon at his introduction Hello Jhon* I am Lady Halifax I am please to meet you
((*Change that to Red Iron depending on how he introduces self))
And this little dear is Jaime. She placed her hands on Jamies shoulder, who was busy stuffing her face. She doesnt talk so much Hali cleaned Jamies face with a napkin having no problem with the cold aura around the little ice-sprite.
So how bad iz your leg injury that brings vous ere?
---
"Infestation? That sounds kinda gross. I hope that its not bad" Kia wrinkled her nose, but smiled she wasn't really that grossed out by such things.
"So what do you do when you arent infested with Terran aliments?" -
((No problem, and welcome back Thunderbug))
Kia rolled her eyes Its sort of a forced relaxation She glanced in Halis direction with a dirty look.
Infestation eh? That sounds like zero fun
---
Hali noticed Jamie and she had been staring for sometime which may have been rude of her but she was lost in thought.
She muttered Pardon to her present company and made her way over to Jamie.
She touched Jamie gently on the shoulder to get her attention.
Excuse me, but it is quite unusual to see one such as yourself here
When Jamie turned she would recognize Hali as a magician over the domain of ice (Controller Ice/Rad) -
[Echoes from the Past]
The other pair started to make their way up the hill a moment later. As they got closer, Isabel recognized both men.
The bulgy eyed, short one was Sacrum. Sacrum had the standard black leather jacket with chains of a Bone Daddys under which he wore an undersized food-stained white-ish tee shirt that long ago gave up on covering the fat belly that protruded underneath it. Sacrum was the braggart that ran the Skull chapter on the eastside of the Row (Kings Row). Mismanaged might have been a better description. Isabel who didnt even work the Row had heard enough stories of how those bone-heads werent bringing in the dough they ought to, not to mention all of the times that he needed to call on other chapters for man power to take back lost Skull territory.
The guy in the cheap grey suit was Zachary Mills and he too was an arrogant jerk off. Zach also carried a lantern and shovel. He had crooked teeth that matched his crooked nose from where it had been broken multiple times. He kept his dirty blonde hair poorly trimmed short. He had been a high-school football player, not good enough to make it in college and far too dumb. He had also tried to [censored] Isabel on two separate occasions after Derek was put in the Zig. He wouldnt have dared touch her if Derek was on the outside.
Derek was Isabels Skull boyfriend. He was doing hard time in the Zig currently for murder one. He was tall dark and handsome, but what had attracted Isabel to him was that he was also dangerous and passionate the ultimate bad-boy. It was those qualities that made Derek the extremely if not insanely jealous type. Not that hed ever hurt Isabel, but he did viciously gut a boy (and one of his friends, two security guards, and a good Samaritan for good measure) at the Lakeview Mall just for flirting with her, hence the jail time. He was tried as an adult for the brutality of the killings and locked up. Its been months and Isabel missed him terribly, especially on uncertain nights like this.
Zachs first attempt to [censored] her was after the Lakeview Skulls had helped reclaim some territory from some Lost. There had been a celebration afterward and Zach was feeling overly touchy feely in an exceedingly forceful way. When verbal discouragement didnt stop him, Isabel grabbed her shotgun. The unblinking eyes of the double-barrel sobered up Zach pretty quickly and he backed down.
The second attempt was after Zach was made a Death-Head Gunner. He was Sacrums goldenboy and the fat Bone-Daddy was fast tracking him. Zach was excessively drunk and had some of his boys isolate Isabel from her boys (The Lakeview Skulls), and then he got pushy. When pushy didnt work, he got aggressive and that was immediately followed by violent. Due to his drunken clumsiness, Isabel was able to fight him off but she had gotten knocked around fairly badly. Afterward she had to sneak out of the party unseen. If her boys saw, her bruised and bloodied face they would have gone to war for her. Her boys were very protective of her, mostly due to respect and partially out of fear of Derek. Thats not to mention eventually the news would have found its way to Derek and who knows what hed do to get out and take revenge. Before leaving, she took her own revenge with several well placed kicks to the groin shed made sure, that Zach would piss blood for at least a week.
As Zach and Sacrum strolled up the hill, Zach was laughing; he seemed to have a better idea of what was going on than Isabel did.
To no ones surprise Sacrum spoke first. Hey Marrous, is that what you brought He indicated Isabel with a disapproving sneer and both he and Zach snickered again.
Marrous stopped Isabel and forced her to turn towards him. This is how it works. Him (Zach) and you are both going to dig a grave, then one of you aint leaving. Savvy?
Isabel managed not to swallow hard at his words and simply nodded. When Marrous told you that that was the way it was, then that was the way it was. Thats when it dawned on her that she and Zach were both dressed for funerals.

((First off, Welcome Heronator))
Hey whats up KruthT Kia held her fist straight out to give him pounds. (Instructions for doing so provided if needed)
Im Kia Kia jerked her thumb indicating herself then pulled the fork back from the corner of her mouth and speared some more of her fruit-salad.
So why are you guys stuck here?
---------------------------------------------
Ella was ushered off to her room, on the top floor of the residence building. The shades were drawn tight and no lights were turned on. Captain Roberts placed her gently on the bed and withdrew to a respectful distance to allow Dr. Tyler to check on her patient.
Ella was still murmuring about various things about the people she met downstairs. Offering help to Jasmine, and listing off different experimental drug projects that Cort may have been exposed to, cursing Ian, and thanking Sis for the promised red tee-shirt.
Dr. Tyler busied herself with doing some standard medical things. Such as attaching an IV to Ellas arm, and placing a cold washcloth on Ellas head and swab away some of the blood around Ellas nose. The only non-medical thing she did was place a heavy looking torc necklace around Ellas neck.
Once Ella was thoroughly tucked in, Dr. Tyler and Captain Roberts departed. The medicine and Ellas remarkable ability to heal would take care of the migraine in a short time (When compared to RL migraines).
((Still tentative on pulling the plug on the meet-and-greet on this coming Monday (day after Easter) if there are no objections. I have no problem extending it if people wish to continue in that setting. I am open to suggestions for activities once the m-a-g breaks up. I figure one contingent may go to the Gym. Where others might want to go, I am open to suggestions.)) -
[Arrival:]
They have been driving for several hours into the late night when they finally took the exit for Croatoa. They headed out past the village and out past the rustic farms to eventually stop at a small and ancient cemetery. A lone great oak tree stood on top of a small hill in the center of the graveyard, as a thin fog hugged the ground adding depth and an eerie murkiness to the cemetery. Isabel clutched the Skull jacket folded on her lap. It was reassuring to have her pistol and Skull mask close by, hidden in the deep pockets of the jacket.
Marrous cut the engine but made no move to get out of the car. They sat in silence for nearly twenty minutes. Marrous was beginning to show signs if irritation, until finally another car showed up on the opposite side of the cemetery. Marrous flashed the cars headlights once. The other car returned the flash, then went dark. Without turning toward her Marrous spoke for the first time in their long journey.
Get out
The pair exited the vehicle and Isabel followed Marrous to the cars trunk.
Marrous turned to Isabel and yanked the Skull jacket from of her hands.
One way or another, you will no longer need this after tonight his voice was deep and gritty.
The words hit Isabel like a train. They stirred a ton of questions that she knew to not bother asking. Drawling back a blanket in the trunk, Marrous then started handing things to Isabel. The first item was an old oil lantern. The next item was more alarming as he handed her a shovel. His words took on a much more ominous meaning.
The last thing that Marrous removed from the trunk was a very polished but otherwise ordinary looking black box. Marrous closed the trunk and set the black box on top of it. From the box, he removed a vial. He took the lantern back for Isabel and filled the lantern with fuel from the vial; to Isabel it looked far too dark to be lamp oil. Marrous made Isabel hold the lantern as he lit it. Lastly, he removed a flask from the box before closing it.
Isabel kept a firm grip on the lantern and willed her hand not to tremble. The lantern emitted a soft pale light casting a ghostly glow on whatever it touched. In the pale light, nothing shone in color. The world was black and white with vast shades of grey and infinitely deep shadows. A moment later, a similar lantern illuminated where the other car had parked. Isabel could make out two figures moving in the far lanterns light. The shorter one looked like a Bone Daddy with the standard leather jacket and shaved head. The taller one seemed to be wearing a suit.
Is Marrous demanded her attention again, he often called her Is for short. He wasnt the formal type. He held out the silver flask. Drink
Never question Marrous, Isabel thought and took the flask. The silver flask had skulls molded into its surface, many of which were twisted and distorted in expressions of agony. The flask reeked of formaldehyde and something else she didnt even want to identify. Isabel summoned up some courage and placed the vial to her lips. She gagged; it was the worst thing she ever tasted, the putrid taste of rotten eggs with a tar like consistency. She forced down the thick vile liquid, gasped for breathe then took another swig. From the distance, she heard coughing and sputtering, a quick glance in the direction of the sound she saw the guy in the suit leaned over the other car. He had what may have been a similar flask in his hand.
Marrous took the flask back after Isabel had taken her third swallow, then with a cold hand he seized her firmly by the upper arm and lead her up the small hill toward the oak tree. The low mist brought a chill to Isabel as it swirled around her bare ankles and calves as they covered the distance. -
((This will be posted in installments. As this starts, it will take place in the future of Superhero 101 events. As things continue in SH101 and I continue updating here timelines may catch up to each other.
I hope that I have placed enough detail in this that it stands on own without having to have read the SH101. For those that are not familiar with SH101 Lakeview is the neighborhood where Golden Eagle High School is located.
Special thanks to TerminusEst13 for helping on the story concept.
Well here it is. I hope you enjoy it ))
[Introduction]
Isabel sat quietly in the passenger seat for the long car ride. The wind from the open window blew through her long silky black hair. Her dark alluring eyes stared off into the night. Many would expect that the attractive young woman was daydreaming of boys or of shopping, but not Isabel, she was planning. She had a project that was all her own. It was something big and there were plenty of obstacles real or imaged that she would need a plan to deal with them all.
The drive was long and she didnt even know where they were headed but there was no point in bothering Marrous with questions. When he wanted you to know something, he would tell you in his time. Marrous was a gruff and dangerous Bone-Daddy of the Lakeview Skulls. He was the walking incarnate of malice and intimidation. His low rough voice commanded obedience, and promised harsh repercussions on those who werent, and he had the power to make good on his threats.
Despite Marrouss very rough exterior, Isabel knew that he liked her. Not liked liked her, but respected her. Despite her lack of formal education Isabel was smart, a genius when compared to the other gang-bangers in the Skulls. Marrous respected her brains and he knew when to listen to her ideas. She always had the gangs best interest at heart. He also liked her cause she was smart enough to not ask questions and keep her mouth shut. If she had any flaws it was she was always eager to prove herself, because people constantly underestimated her due to her beauty. Whatever her mixed ancestry was she end up as a stunning exotic beauty with naturally tan skin, a lean frame with all of the proper curves and hypnotically alluring eyes. Her beauty paired with street smarts and remarkable survival instinct that made her as ruthless as the occasion called for. In an organization like the Skulls that did no favors for women, she had garnished much respect, especially from her fellow Lakeview Skulls. She was unofficially a Death-Head, where there was no official title for female members.
Isabel crossed and uncrossed her long legs for about the hundredth time on the drive. She arched her back stretching before settling back down in the seat and smoothing out her skirt. She wasnt comfortable in the skirt. She was used to tight jeans or leather. Wearing a dress usually meant a little mini-skirt that showed off her legs. She didnt even know why Marrous told her to dress up, to wear something nice. So here, she was in a cream colored summer dress with a simple floral pattern and a low cut yet tasteful neckline. She had even put on a little bit of makeup, the only thing she lacked to make the outfit complete was a set of pearls. She assumed that dressing up would be for a surveillance or distraction of some sort, but when she saw that Marrous was dressed in his usual leather and chains, she knew that she had guessed wrong. She didnt know it yet but she was dressed for a funeral, and very likely her own. -

((Ack, sorry Leo that should have read Ian. I will go though and compile a list of characters))
-
Sorry took me forever to get caught up on this.
Now I cant wait for the next chapter. -
((I think I forgot descriptions :P ))
Lady Halifax is just over six feet tall, with a very slender build. Her long flowing white hair that has just a hint of green tinge to it reaches almost to her waist. She is currently wearing on of the Clinics white tracksuits with gold lettering marking her as a Spa guest.
Kia is dramatically shorter, especially when standing next to Hali. Kia reaches about 5 4 with a little extra help from her stiletto style combat boots she appears about 5 7. Kia is wearing her standard hero outfit which consist of the afore mentioned combat stiletto-boots. A two tone black-burgundy armored jacket with matching tight leather pants. Kias dark brown hair is worn short in an unkempt look. Shed normally be wearing her burgundy fingerless gloves but they were shoved in the jackets pocket at the moment.
[to Jasmine] I am sorry I had missed whatever had jus happend, but no. I don not tink that they will be dragging me away
I am Lady Halifax. You have eard of me? No. No matter you may call me Hali
[Sis] Huh? Oh yeah, here.
Super thanks Kia murmured with only a tiny hint of sarcasm. She rolled her eyes as she stepped past Sis and Experiment to take a seat
Kia plopped down in a chair near Alissa and the alien. Alissa looked like her kind of person. Not too hung up on appearances and doesnt look like the kinda gal that would take any sh!# either. The alien he looked like .a lizard. She took a moment to brush off the bread crumbs from her jackets the unzipped it. Settled back in her chair she started in on her fruit salad.
hey Kia said as greeting unenthusiastically to Alissa and KruthT. -
Kia moved into the room and headed straight for the food table. She semi-politely shouldered past a few people to get to the table. Excuse me coming through where she immediately grabbed a breadstick and shoved it in her mouth while her eyes hungrily searched the rest of the table.
Hali was a few steps behind her, trying yet again to make up for her friends lack of politeness Pardon Pardon
Kia was chewing on the breadstick like a wood chipper as crumbs cascaded down the front of her armored leather jacket. She picked a bottle of water and shoved it into her jacket pocket then grabbed a cup of fruit salad. The spoons were out of reach. She turned and gave a quick appraising look as Sis, Experiment, Leo and Cort. Her eyes lingered slightly longer on the two women.
Eh, can you grab me one of them spoons? (Who ever post first can be the one closest to the spoons)
Hali went around the far side of the table and put together a mug of hot water and dropped a tea bag in it. She gave Kia a quick glare telling her to be nice, then took her tea to the far side of the room. Where the father figure was standing next to the wheelchair bound girl.
Bonjour -
((Holy resurrection its been 5 months :P
I'll have to see what my availablity is depending on other threads that I have committed too)) -
Growing cells was something Ella knew all too much about. Most of the research that made any significant progress was not done legally. She knew all about those experiments too. A flood of information hit Ella square between the eyes. DNA chains, incubators, surgical grafts, protein sequences, suspension solutions, life-support apparatus and much much more in vast clinical detail.
Ella closed her eyes and furrowed her brow as the information came streaming into her head carrying with it a splitting migraine. owwwWWW
Ellas body began to glow with golden light bright enough to be seen in the room's fluorescents . Her small frame tensed momentarily. She placed a hand to her forehead in an attempt to steady herself. Her other hand snapped the arm off of the chair with a loud CRACK as the steel anchors broke free.
The headache actually helped slow down the information flooding into her brain. After a few tense moments, she had control again and the glow faded. She dropped the arm of the chair where it fell with a CLANG, placed her head in her hands, and brought her knees up.
Quietly and weakly Ella finally spoke without looking up I can do that, but I dont think they have that kind of equipment here. A lot of the stuff needed isnt legal
A single milky white tear floated away from Ella's eye as she held her head down. She trembled and shivered slightly in the chair as the pain in her head subsided far too slowly.
Captain Roberts brushed past the person in the door clearing a path for Doctor Tyler who was flicking at a syringe. Doctor Tyler gently took Ellas arm and gave her a small injection.
Youll feel better soon dear Doctor Tylers voice was smooth and calming. She placed a Sesame Street character Band-Aid on the small spot on Ellas arm where she had just injected her.
Alissa took a step back and Captain Roberts scooped Ella up out of the chair and carried her off. Ella was sleepily repeating I can help her. I can help . I can
The milky white tear hung in space above the chair Ella had just recently broken and occupied. It defiantly ignored gravity as it floated on the small air currents in the room.
=================================================
Lady Halifax and Miss Kia have worked together for several years. This is miraculous in itself due to Kias sometimes poor if not aggressive attitude. Both women have strong personalities where Halis is tempered with reason. Kias is more stubborn and passionate.
Both women needed a break. Hali was a work-a-holic and ran herself ragged between her magical research and her hero work. Kia was simply a high-stress personality, she thrived on it but eventually it takes its toll on her.
Considering Kias uncooperative attitude, Hali felt she had no choice but to lie to her friend. This was not as easy of a task as it may seem, because Kia also happened to be telepathic. At Portal Corp there was considerable arguing before Kia reluctantly stepped through the portal to whatever this Clinic place was.
At the Clinic Arrival Station the arguing continued
Kia yelled despite the stares of the arrival technicians. I CANT BELIEVE THAT YOU TRIED TO LIE!!! TO ME!!!! She shook her finger in Halis face.
Hali gently pushed the offending finger away from her face. If I told vous le truth vous would ave nver even gotten out of bed Halis voice remained steady, calm, and exceedingly patient. **
Kias mouth opened to loudly retort, but Hali stopped her again.
I know vous and that iz the truth. Vous stayd up very late wasting your time beating up le Skullz and le Helleons in Perez Park, and vous would ave nver budged from bed
Beating up those thugs is NOT a waste of time! Kia crossed her arms defiantly.
True. It iz not, but it iz a waste of your talents. And using your repel field to see how far you can throw them iz not productive work for a hero of your skillz
Kia snorted unintentionally, and then smiled. Yeah well you should have seen the one I sailed clear over the wall from 50 feet
Hali arched one eyebrow at Kias claim. Come nous are here now. Nous will look around Hali took Kias arm and started to pull her along. Kia of course being Kia resisted the first tug and then followed.
The pair toured the grounds, with Hali pointing out some of the scenic features and Kia finding something negative to say about it. Eventually the pair ended up at the Spa.
As Hali had suspected Kia loosen up overtime, and she caught her enjoying some of the scenery on occasion. Another argument did break out at the Spa when Kia found out that Hali had booked them for a week.
Those track suits look very comfortable. Oui?
Oh no, I am soooo not wearing one of those. AND dont change the subject. A FREAKIN week at this place
Kia, if vous admit it or not. Vous need this Hali placed her hand on Kias shoulder. I need this too, and I would very much like, if vous stayed with me.
Kias shoulders slumped giving in to Halis plea. Okay, but dont even try to get me to wear one of those retarded track suits
A few minutes later the ladies were in their condo where the latest argument started, when Kia found her suitcase already here. In disbelief she opened and looked at her clothes inside. She found her burgundy tee-shirt with the sequin stars a minute later she was in Halis face.
I was looking for this yesterday! You let me yell at Frostie for ten minutes when it was you who took my shirt
Oui but do not worry. I already apologized to Frostie for vous. She was very understanding Hali smiled.
Arrrggghh!!! Kia stormed back to her room and slammed the door.
Later they continued the tour, arrived at Meet and greet.
Kia saw the Captain Robert hauling away the small white girl. Dude you better hurry she looks pale She said with a snort and slapping Hali in the arm trying to see if she too found it funny.
Hali watched unamused and slapped Kia back in the arm Vous should show more compassion
Oh come on we are in a hospital Im sure they got it taken care of.
Hali simply glared back unapprovingly.
Forcing Kia to take a step back to drag Hali by the arm for a change I am so starved this better be the room with the food?
**Hali is French-Canadian and I am not very good at writing accents but I am trying. Also I do not speak French so if I do any full translations it will be based on babblefish -
"I can't walk."
Well that explains the wheelchair. Were you born unable to walk or did something happen? Ella looked thoughtful for a moment then scooted her chair closer.
Ella looked around in a conspiratory fashion then continued much quieter I know a lot about medicine maybe I can help. -
Unfortunately, the most that I know about Cobalt is from the character description thread. Due to reasons mentioned above we havent really interacted a great deal. The few times that Ive had direct interactions with her we have seemed to butt heads You seem to have a lot of backstory for her, but you seldom hint, elude or reveal any of it.
I am hoping that Alex and Cobalt will get along (to some degree*) both being tech heads and having a great deal of cybernetics.
I know it is a style difference where I tend to inner monologue a lot (or too much), and you dont to keep the post concise, but I feel it helps develop the character and provide incite to the character for readers. I am not saying that you should over do it (Like I tend to) but a little adds flavor, mystery and/or understanding to the readers.
Based on AH alone (Cobalt didnt stay around long in GToA). I really dont know anything about Cobalt (other than the bytchy episodes with Ella). The most insight that there was more going on with her was the description thread.
One thing confused me. Earlier in AH I think it was in the lunch room she seemed very self-conscious about the glove over her cyber prosthetic, but now she is in a bikini without much overt concern. She may have reasons for this but I havent read anything that would explain one reaction over the other.
*Being an instructor Alex will be a bit of a hardass, and will not be overly chummy with the students.
**Much of this is simply based on style difference
What are your OoC impressions of Ella (If we ignore the early stuff)
Also what differences have people noticed if they read both AH and the Clinic. I have mapped out (in my mind) the events during those pre-Clinic months and applied several changes to Ella's personallity and mannerisms some obvious some not so obvious. -
Okay this one is mostly for the Antihero 101 and the Clinic people.
What do you think of Ella?
She started with thinnly developed concept to eventually become more fleshed out and developed (Though still crazy)
Her initial appearance in AH she was pychologically...undercooked, and was a bad fit for the thread as time progressed she was further developed and altered to become a (hopefully) better fit for the thread. Though still crazy-ish, but there were other factors that have recently become apparent.
In the Clinic Ella brings all of her problems and baggage forward still. Some problems have been solved in the time gap where others problems have evolved.
I try to hint at some of things going on in her head, while not giving away the why she is the way she is. Hopefully developing some intrigue along the way. -
In the quiet time before Dr, Albrect responded on Jasmines behalf Ella was slowly beginning to slouch more and fidget in the chair.
"My daughter is a bit shy." He said to Ella. "I am Doctor Jonah Albrect and this is Jasmine."
Ella smiled politely at the Dr. Albrect and extended her non-carrot-stick holding hand to shake his gently. Please to meet you Doctor
"I'm Jasmine, and you are?"
Im Ella She was beginning to perk up and show a little more enthusiasm.
So why are you here Jasmine? Ella was interested in why Jasmine was in a wheel chair.
Ella decided to share something about herself in hopes of making Jasmine more comfortable. I have memory holes She made the same dizzy gesture she did earlier with Ian, but this time with the presentation aid of the carrot-stick.
After the gesture Ella looked at the carrot-stick in her hand then placed it on the marker tray of the whiteboard nearby then looked back to Jasmine expectedly. -
Depends on the character and the timelines of threads.
Also depends on your ability to seperate what maybe in-character knowledge in one thread that your character would not know in another thread. (This is where I would have the most problems)
Bad form? Nah -
The golden glow surrounding Ella was too faint to be visible in the rooms lights. Her golden glow was usually an omen for bad things about to happen. Ellas eyes narrowed coldly on Ians back, her fist tight.
Then suddenly her face relaxed and her fist untightened.
Well as long as you admit that you dont know what youre talking about I guess its okay to naively believe that the world in fundamentally just Ella flipped her hair so it would hit Ian as she turned and walked away.
Her walk was very graceful and completely lacked her playful exuberance from before. She delicately lifted a carrot stick from the table and headed across the room. Her eyes scanned everything they could as she walked, until finally settling on Jasmine.
Ella lowered herself gracefully into the chair nearest the girl and smiled.
Hello my name is Ella, and who might you be? Ella sat with perfect posture and crossed her legs in the chair.

[Several floors away]
Captain Roberts whispered into his headset Stand down His eyes leaving the set of monitors for the first time in the last few minutes looked over to Doctor Tyler. That seemed close
Doctor Tyler was still scribbling notes furiously Oh, we are not out of the woods yet Captain. Notice the shift in mannerisms? Roberts nodded. This personality is much more dangerous than Ellas she is just infinitely more subtle and calculating, but I dont think your men will need to intervene. Lets watch longer and see how she maintains
Roberts nodded again I think she spotted camera two and five. It was difficult for him to tell, Ellas face revealed almost nothing. She was truely an enigma, and an interesting security challenge. -

"Just a single block right after.... they injected me with that damn drug." Her face tightened with rage briefly, "After that day, my memories are clear enough, if clutter by others'. I just don't know anything from before I was 10."

Billyboy,
Your writing is ALWAYS great! I just wish you had more time to do it. The Phillis arc was fun, balanced, entertaining, and just plain great.
