    City of Secrets

Quantum Spellbinder (Magic Defender, Virtue): "The way I ended up in Paragon City ... Well, I'm a wizard. And I specialize in manipulating subatomic particles and the forces that act on them. I'm from a parallel universe, by the way. And I thought I had figured out a way to use the, what do they call it here? What's-his-name's Uncertainty Principle ... Heidelberg, or something? So I thought I could use that to teleport. And I was right, well, sort of. I was trying to just teleport a few feet. But when the scenery around me changed I knew something went wrong. It turned out I had somehow put myself in a parallel universe. That was ... wow, that was embarrassing. Or I might have gone back in time a few dozen millennia, but I think the language would have changed more. Anyway, I'm going to be a lot more careful before I try to teleport again. Well, unless my curiosity gets the better of me. Which it usually does."
  2. Your main Hero... Khavzhutch ev-Chezgh

    1) Discovers that a teenager with no combat training and a few low-level powers is attempting to follow in their footsteps with a similar outfit and name.

Let the kid do what he wants. Assuming, of course, that any human being would try to imitate an 8-foot tall black-skinned red-veined hooved spiky creature from an entirely different universe.

    2) A villain confronts you in the middle of a large crowd of civilians.

Attack immediately, and try hard to avoid any collateral damage. It's not worth spending the time trying to come up with a better plan here.

    3) You are on patrol when you hear what sounds like a domestic disturbance from a nearby residence. Screams, crying children, physical combat.

Continue with the patrol, I've been assigned a job and I'm not going to interrupt it. As a hero in Paragon City you learn pretty fast that if you try to stop every crime you notice then you'll never have time for anything else. Also, doing well on the patrol would probably improve my reputation more than resolving a domestic dispute, and reputation is important to me because the more people that know about me, the more likely one of them can help me get back to my home, where there's a genocide going on. As bad as physical abuse is, I'm not as worried about that as I am about the elimination of my entire species.

Your main villain... the Perfect Sage

    1) Has just gotten his hands on a live nuclear weapon. The problems are the fact that the weapon is literally in his hands, and a veritable horde of good guys are seconds from arriving and beating him down. Most importantly, no quick easy means of escape are available.

Try to bluff my way out, but if I can't manage that then just surrender. Trying to fight a horde of enemies would just make things more unpleasant for all of us.

    2) You arrive at your latest caper ready to obtain something useful to your purposes. But a hero and villain are already clashing over the goods!

Try to grab the item and run while the hero and villain are fighting. If I can't manage that, then the next best thing would be to wait until one of them is eliminated, and then take out the other one if I think I can manage it.

    3) The Rikti offer you governorship of earth if you help them complete their master plan. Their plan seems likely to work with your help.

Depends how much I can learn from the Rikti. Knowledge is more important than anything else. I'm a wizard and I don't think the Rikti know any magic, so I would rather work against them in favor of the human race.
