And all of the above without ever going over the top with it. Be prepared to wince a couple of times, though." Very definitely a +1 from me
    I like RIN (I own the DVDs but am thinking about selling them so I can get the Blu-Ray). I would +1 it but I'm not sure if it's appropriate for this list. It contains not only blood and gore but there is about one sex scene per episode (haven't seen it in a wile so I could be wrong). It's not a hentai, but it is a mature (TV MA) title.
  2. It does help, thanks.

    I created a new build that I might be able to do. I forgot about the Positron's Blast set and I'm going to use that. As for Shadow Meld, I might get that at a latter date. I am putting in MoG though. Intimidate, I use to PVP off and on and that's why I took it. It would throw my opponents off/piss them off. ^_^ The Glimpse of the Abyss set also has some nice bonus'. (Although my new build doesn't utilize the %6.25 rech or %3.125 psionic res)

    I have several respecs that I can use, about 6. So I'm thinking about taking out the Hami o's and selling them at Wentworths. If that works I might have enough for this.

    Edit: Scratch that, heres a new build. I decided on to side switch, and get soul mastery, then come back hero side. Shadow Meld does sound like a good power and I've gotten some more inf. So I should be able to afford this one.

    • I would seriously consider looking at the Soul Mastery pool for Shadow Meld instead of the Body pool. Regen doesn't need extra recovery unless its poorly built to begin with. Soul mastery offers a mini MoG like power (think defensive build up) that's not quite as powerful but is available more frequently.
    IMO there is more wrong with the build but following this advice will get you in the ballpark.
    This character is about 4 or so years old. The hami's are from when I used to raid regularly. Back before the raid was changed. Funny thing though... I wasn't really thinking when I was slotting the common IO's in and several of them I don't have. So I have to transfer inf around and buy them. lol.
    Sets that focus on recharge? Didn't really cross my mind, recharge is a really good thing though.

    Soul Mastery, I don't now. That requires going redside and I don't really want to side switch with this character. (yes I now, I can switch back. but still...) Thanks for the advice.

    "IMO there is more wrong with the build but following this advice will get you in the ballpark."
    Can you say what you think is wrong with it?

    @Elegost
    Thanks for the build. I'll look into it. But just a quick glance at it, it looks really expensive. I guess I can sell the hami's and that could be enough. I can also pull in money from alts. I just don't think I can get rid of the hami O's. I like em to much. >.< Even when the invention system was implemented and IO sets came out I didn't want to get rid of them. Maybe it's about time that I do...

    edit: just read this bit. "Downsides:
    that's a lot of influence :/
    ~~~
    Not sure why you're building a HO'd build... seems a little silly these days. "
    lol I'm going to see if I can make a build I like with less hami's
  4. I know, double post bad. But no one has replyed (wich I'm taking as a good thing actually) and it's been a wile since the OP. After thinking it over and going back into MIDs and checking out Wentworths, I've created a revised build and will be going onto test to try this one out.
    Now, I don't have enhancements in a few powers like Physical Perfection, Swift, etc. etc. But I plan on putting stuff in them later.
  6. Claymore is a good series, I've read up to volume 10. But has several tropes that are prevalent in shonen series that sort of don't feel right in this series. Like power levels, named attacks, etc. etc. The anime was good, aside from the fact theres no 2nd season.
    Berserk. Although I haven't read much of the series, I liked the anime. (no 2nd season, like Claymore, but there is a new series coming out)
    MPD Psycho. Only read the first volume but also own volume 2 (would have vol 3 but my LCS & RightStuf didn't have it). It's quite good.
    One Piece. One of the best selling shonen and for a good reason, it's just fun to read. Great action, fun adventures, awesome bad guys. It's a very fun world. I've only read up to volume 29 (there's 50+ out there), but it's a really good series. The anime is great too.
    Also, a legal alternative to scanlations.... the library! And I think Viz has the first 2 volumes or something of One Piece online.
  7. +1's to
    Zeta Gundam
    Animatrix
    Beck
    Afro Samurai
    Claymore
    Berserk
    Blue Gender
  8. Greenykins
I also was a bit intimidated by the idea of watching or reading a series that I was so far behind on because that's a large time investment.
    I decided to give it a chance in April and I have to say the series was engrossing enough to me that I see past the art and appreciate it for what it is: A vast, engrossing world with many endearing characters, antagonists and storylines. I honestly can say at this point that without the art being the way it is, it just wouldn't be One Piece.
    Similarly with me. Once it started streaming on Hulu I gave it shot and fell in love. Especially after hearing Buggy the Clowns dub voice(FUNimation not 4Kids). The VA is Mike McFarland and he does an imitation of Mark Hamil's Joker, but more gruff sounding.
    I'm up to episode 125 and own volumes 14-28(26 is in the mail though...) of the manga.
    For me personally, I just think the Resistance would be shooting themselves in the foot. I don't believe there would be any wake-up against Cole, but instead against the Resistance. Indeed, I believe ending Enriche would ultimately cause the average citizen to become more fervently AGAINST the Resistance. They wouldn't see the oppression of the Seers nor the lack of freedom, especially those who grew up in Praetoria -- they would see the Resistance poisoning their water and trying to kill them. I know I would if I were an average Praetorian.
    Given some people's statements in these threads, I might very well be right.
    Or perhaps it would be like that one guy from The Matrix. I forget the characters name, but the guy who wanted to be plugged back in. People might not want to know whats "actually going on", and live peacefully. Ignorance is bliss after all.
    Anyone else have any anime with catgirls in it?
    Watched Outlaw Star, Nuku Nuku, Mew Mew Power(Tokyo), Vision of Escaflowne, Shining Tears X Wind, Dominion Tank Police. Just curious what else is out there!
    Weird little side note, the English VA who did Aisha Clanclan also did Tigra in the 99'-00' Avengers cartoon.
    Funny thing, I love catgirls but I haven't seen that many shows that have them. =/ (out of the above I've only seen Outlaw Star and one or 2 eps of Escaflowne a decade or so ago)
    Soul Eater has a catgirl, or is she a girlcat? =^o_o^=
    Only seen the first 26 episodes of the series, but +1 for Soul Eater.
  11. Haven't actually finished Gundam 00 yet. But I +1 it. Been watching a lot of MS Gundam, first series, though.
    They also have a larger version of the pic. It's delicious.
  13. Just finished Bamboo Blade, I give it a +1. That was a fun show. Also, 2 people on the first page + repped(is that a word?) it.
    and
    Noein +1
    Memories +1 (category would be drama I think. Kinda hard to tell though since its a compilation of action/drama/comedy.)
  14. Just finished Black Lagoon. Freakin' loved it! Also finished Gurren Lagann a month or so ago, loved it too.
    Black Lagoon +1
    Gurren Lagann +1
    Been watching One Piece lately, last episode I finished was 50. I'm really enjoying the series.
    One Piece +1
    And when ever you get around to updating the list Dark, you might want to change the title for Higurashi to When They Cry or Higurashi: When They Cry or something like that. Since you said you wanted the shows to have the English release titles.
  15. Awesome work Dark!
    Looks like we have a romance section now. I would maybe move Kanon, Chobits, Suzuka, Clannad, His & Her Circumstances, and Rumbling Hearts out of action/drama and into romance. Haven't seen a few of them though...
    I haven't seen Fruits Basket, but from what I understand harem would be a good place for it (reverse harem). Paranoia Agent could be placed into horror.
    All 26 English dubbed episodes are on FUNimation's video site. But Lord Mayhem is in the UK.
  17. Wish there was an easier way.
    I know there are some online services that let multiple people edit documents. Like Google Docs. But some one could screw it up, and this is more secure.
  18. I haven't seen the movie in a long time. But Fist of the North Star (+)
    Trigun (+)
    MS Gundam (+)
    Gundam 8th MS Team (+)
    Gundam Wing (+)
    I know a slightly different version however that when two people say the same thing at the same time and one of them says "jinx", the person who is then jinxed cannot say another word apart unless they say the same word as the "jinxer" at the same time. If they do this correctly then they are no longer jinxed. If they fail however, there was a failure punishment which i cant remember.
    Those rules sound familiar.
    I remember it being anything the kids agreed upon. The satisfaction of saying jinx first was usually enough though =P
    In fact, I was jinxed just a few days in a global channel. ^_^;
  20. I haven't gone through everything. But the only thing I don't like is the sub-menus in the navigation. The soft blueish text over the white background is a little hard to read.
    I have a question, if a series has multiple seasons but those seasons have "different titles" do we list those separately? Like some one just posted Slayers and Slayers Try.
    If yes
    I've only seen the first 4 episodes, and I enjoyed them. I bought it and the set is sitting next to me. Going to be watching it pretty soon.
