We don't always go this pink, but there are times when we are feeling pretty goofy.

A lot of comments are made about our pinkness, sometimes good and sometimes bad....we aren't always able to discern the difference.
It's always fun, that's for sure!

I believe I remember a moment there were a certain Mystery Girl announced, "Everyone go pink!"

(Hmmmm, pinkness. I sense a signature update...)
  2. The song is the inspiration for her name. I've always liked the song and it seems to have been a good choice.

It was a bit difficult on my friends in the first weeks of playing, way back in Issue 1. That didn't last long as someone in our SG, Mind Twist to be exact, shortened it one day to just "GEL". It stuck and I am still called that when I am on any alt.
  3. I am glad you had a turnout to fill your team, DYK. Your start time was after the start (noon pdt) of our regular Sunday event so, unfortunately, Liz and I could not attend. Hopefully we can get in on the next.
  4. The Striga TFs this past Sunday was the first Sisterhood Sunday Event with our new dedicated team captains, American Valor and Night's Dawn. It vastly improved the time it took to get up and going as heroes were added to teams very quickly, Thank you, Valor and ND!

Thank you, Liberty players, we had 22 heros at Moonfire and 25 on the Hess TF!
  5. This is a render I had done for me recently and I am so proud of how well the artist captured GEL!

  6. Ty Ty!

i couldn't be more pleased, as I said. Thanks for taking the time to look at something I didn't do (artist Raddar) and to give me kudos for something I had nothing to do with. (CoH character design tool and Raddar)

Now, will it look funny if I frame it and carry it around with me?

    hahahahaha
  7. This piece is the "in environment" render...

  8. I recently commissioned an artist to render GEL and I have received the piece. I am so happy with how it turned out. And now....meet Green Eyed Lady!

Maybe after the Striga TFs on Sunday. I can bring whatever.

Our guests from Champion asked me last night when we might be ready. I say we set a time/date that corresponds with their schedule and we enter the hive for some schooling.

Let's get back to being heroes!

Star Justice, Bret 'the hitman" Hart, and is that OG-GEL (The original Green Eyed Lady). I wish I had all the names of our other campanions, where we learned to pay it forward.
In the golden age of City of Heroes. grins
Oh my! I remember Bret Hart. Yes, that's her, the Original GEL. Tacky costume, green sunglasses, no clue.

You're right Valor, it was those days when we learned the heroic ways, the way to not to look at others as ton how they can benefit you, but to benefit yourself by being considerate and helpful to others.
  11. I told you that you were a hero, Valor!

It was a Numina's TF, the four of us were around the 38th level as you could not exemplar into TFs back then. We were also the only heroes left on what was once a full team. Those remaining were Honey Buff, Green Eyed Lady, American Valor and Outlaw Woman. We eventually logged off due to time issues on a weeknight and we all vowed to meet the very next night to finish the TF. We all did just that. I knew, with a name like American Valor, you would not let us down.

Just take a peek below at the day I met you....

Green Eyed Lady and Outlaw Woman lay defeated on the nearby tracks as American Valor punishes Jurrasik.

American Valor, The Sisterhood's Shining Knight!

You're a hero. You know that, right?
  13. I'd like to extend my thanks to all of the heroes here visiting from Champion with the intention of being helpful and supportive. It is definitely appreciated and those I've had the pleasure to chat with have been delightful.

I think I will reciprocate and come visit Champion!

That's exactly how Champion raiding started out. I know it can be difficult at first to get them going, but it's a necessary struggle and with enough attempts and practice, it will get better.
I think we can do anything we decide we can do. We have the will, ability and the people.
  15. I would love to run content at a normal pace. I enjoy reading the clues, even if I've read them before, and sharing what I have learned with the team. I also enjoy doing this same thing with story arcs.

If I don't have a conflict with The Sisterhood Sunday Event, I'll go with you!

    Pencil me in, coach.

Yes, you didn't "win" the race on the Manticore TF race with your time. I was just commenting on the fact that you came in under an hour on all three races.

You and your teams turned in some incredible times! Of the level 24-33 respec, Manticore TF and Numina TF not a single trial was over an hour!

    Terra Volta - 52:44

    Manticore - 58:11

    Numina - 55:03

    Outstanding!

It was another great day for Liberty. 3 full teams at Tera Volts, 4 full teams and 1 team of 7 at manticore and 2 full teams for Numina. Go Liberty!
  19. I am usually available Sundays, some Saturdays. I work evenings during the week.
  20. I was reading this little tidbit about naming policies in another MMO. This is just plain awesome.

    LINKY
  21. The amazing thing about the wait between the Positron and Synapse TFs is that it was voluntary. I was on team four, the team that took 3.5 hours to complete Positron. I was asked if they should wait for us before beginning Synapse and I replied, "No, go ahead". After all, it would not be fair to others if they had to wait because one team was having difficulties. We were about 3/4 of the way through the last mission when I received a /tell that "most, if not all, of the people here are willing to wait for you guys".

That right there is why I love Liberty. Unselfish, heroic people populate this server.

The times are always the same, 3:00 P.M. EST / Noon PST.

I think the respec trials are appropriate as they have never been done for an event and not everyone ran the same alt on all 4 TFs last Sunday.

I'm very much game for hazy's suggestion, run 'em all.

We have been discussing this very thing. We are kind of torn between two options we have for next weekends Sisterhood Sunday Event. Do we run the remaining 2 TFs, Manticore and Numina, for the Task Force Commander accolade or the 1st respec trial so those that leveled quickly and feel they need to "redo" their builds?
  24. I leveled a few new alts and ran a few established alts.

    Dona Gellini, a DP/Dev blaster from 1 to 33
    Bad Example, a DM/DP defender from 1 to 22
    Gel Green, a DP/NRG blaster from 1 to 13

Pink Lemonade, a Claws/Regen scrapper from 29 to 31 on a Synapse TF
Gel Fire, my Fire/Fire scrapper from 29 to 31 on the Citadel TF during the Sisterhood TF Marathon
Grace Green, my lvl 50 Invul/SS tanker ran the Sister Psyche TF during the Sisterhood TF Marathon and earn 16.5 million influence
Ruby Red, my lvl 50 Fire/Fire blaster ran the Synapse TF during the Sisterhood TF Marathon and earned 20.5 million influence

It was a great weekend. I saw a lot of old friends popping in that were taking advantage of the free reactivation. I am hoping a majority of them liked what they saw enough to reactivate permanently.
  25. Thank you, Liberty! That was so fun. We ran Positron with 4 teams, Synapse with 4 teams, Sister Psyche with 3 teams and 4 teams went on the Citadel race.

It was a great turnout and it made my heart leap to see so many people come out to have fun.

We will get you all the news later on Monday. There were a lot of different people and a lot of team co-mingling so it will take us some time to put all the news together in the morning.

    Thanks, again, Liberty!
