How long term to you expect, or hope, this to last for better or worse? For example, do you expect this to be an event that will end with swift results or do you think wed have achieved a Security Clearance of Level 50 over the course of several missions over the course of several months? I realize youve stated that their threat level has ascended up to Level 54 depending on how deep you dig. Just wonderin, I might have to walk the dog sometime if you know what I mean.
I know any covert operation or task force shouldnt be larger than an eight-man (woman, thing, robot) team. Any larger units moving as a single group would severely compromise the stealth aspect of the mission. Do you have officers appointed for leadership roles in case you attract enough capable recruits to breach this safety limit?
Oh, I might as well get into a sticky subject. Ive been raised with a take no prisoners disposition. While, obviously we are firing live rounds what if I find a wounded survivor? Granted Im not as gung-ho as my mentor, but personally, Id end his suffering but you may want someone to question. Id rather not have an enemy agent who could shoot me in the back at home base, but your call.
Youve observed that they have displayed an interest in gathering information for advanced technological designs. Do you have any record of their interest in archaeology as well? After all, cutting edge technology can be as mysterious and lethal as some long buried relic. We might have to close our eyes if they open a big golden box with angels on top.
From your prisoner, what can you tell us about him? Nationality, accent, skills? Does he match an identity of any known criminal? Perhaps if we knew information about him as an individual, we may be able to track down some of his associates, perhaps even secure a backdoor.
Though Pilfer is enough of a codename to hide my identity, Im not planning on actually enlisting as an official recruit. The paperwork can get a bit touchy, and I believe if youre going to sign any papers you might as well be signing to the devil. I respectfully request permission to work as a freelance agent in order to avoid the pitfall of martial law, insubordination, and refusal to relinquish my free will to a superior officer. Dont worry, Ill play by the rules. -
EnnVee truly is a wonderful individual (don't know much about Barron, but birds of a feather...then again opposites attract...ok, Barron, we need to meet sometime), and I'm so happy they were able to provide the much-needed support 'real' life can often deny us.
The first time EnnVee and I actually interacted was when I was showing interest in a position within the City Scoop. Of all the staff, I felt like approaching her first and she opened her doors. I was a bit nervous about a convo on vent (that and I didn't have a headset), but we had a few moments before Snowglobe arrived. Right from the start, EnnVee gave me the straight and narrow and I could tell that she was both sweet and tart, firm and soft. Most of all, she told information as it was and didn't care about pulling punches...I admired that. She does indeed have a quality I wish I had developed, and she pulls it off with style. EnnVee had quelled a bunch of my concerns right from the start. Granted City Scoop closed soon after I arrived, lol, and I haven't given much thought since then.
Over time, EnnVee and I have develped a friendship (at least on my end, I believe, lol), granted we don't even know much about each other as people, but we do know the personalities conveyed through the text. She's a good-hearted individual and I'm happy she and "Explicit Content" have been there for you to get you through some of life's trials and help you grow. -
Alrighty, Pilfer can be quite an inquisitive sort so I'll brainstorm some more.
-
Oh yeah, I rp...hope I wasn't implying anybody else should by my actions, I was just sorta going with the flow you know?
-
Hmmm, don't know if Gray Huntress would be called a 'hot' chick...probably beautiful, but she's not sizzling. Eh, you may have better luck with Jackalynn though...ok, they're the same body, just different people, but personality can make all the difference.

((Great work on the roleplaying so far Pyro, it really sets the mood.))
Heya Guns. This is Pilfer...I'm not going to apologize for hijacking mom's communication signal, because I'm not sorry. And what she doesn't know won't kill her, or me. Just needing a little more info since I'm going out on a limb here to offer a hand much to the disappointment of Gray.
Will you require uniforms? Or codenames? Personally, I'd rebel either way, but I'm just wanting to know if we're gonna be starting on the right foot if you get what I mean. It's nothin' personal, doll. I heard a cry for help, and unlike Huntress, I'm gonna answer.
Also, seeing the evidence gathered on the big bad, it's probably a safe bet they're actively recruiting criminals...should we also assume they were founded by these criminals. I know it may be an obvious statement, but the Big G (err, government) has its own shadowy operations that smell as fishy as this. Sort of a get-outta-jail free thingy. If they're onto you guys, they may try recruiting vills from redside to counter us...so you may wanna be on a look out for Rogue ops in the AE buildings over there, ya know? Just sayin.' Not tellin' ya how to run you ops or nothin', just concerned.
Mum, er Gray, has also encountered superpower nullification tech in the past when engaging both the Council and those Mediterranean Island dudes...um, Malta. Do you know if they are using similar tech as a defense and if so have you been able to determine a connection to either group? You may also wanna check out the 5th and the Knives, respectively.
Smart move getting the City to lend you the Galaxy Architect building as a base of operations though. Of any place in the City that location has NO business whatsoever. It's a place with a view...I like.
Like I said, I'm goin' out on a limb here so if ya don't want my aid, or trouble, let me know now before I rendevous with ya guys...or else I'm grounded.
((P.S. You know, I'm actually on test server right now...and I'm absolutely alone...not a single soul in Paragon City. It's creepeh)) -
Hmmm, it works that way then I'll try this:
*clears throat* Ahem. Wow, Foo and Swanzy! I'm sure you're actually underpricing it at $100 trillion; the two of you are so generous and that's why we love you and will do anything you demand of us. I am honored to pledge my service in both of your names, surely you are gods in your own right.
*dials number*
Yes, I need to schedule a praise parade through the Halloween Contest thread. They come with multi-colored balloons? Brilliant...and complimentary beer?
Though in all seriousness, hehe, I really look forward to seeing the two of you collaborate on a piece. I'm sure it will be so brilliant it will be accompanied by an angelic choir wherever its displayed -
Oh yes, and before I give the transmission back to you...do you have a date and time when you require the recruits to arrive?
-
Do these 'bad guys' actually have a name? Or at least you've given them a nickname to better separate them from the rest of the flock. I'd hope at least to differentiate the types of troops you have encountered. Do they primarily use projectile weaponry, or are their advanced weapons using an alternative energy form?
Also, you've mentioned how the superpowers of Paragon's 'heroes' simply don't exist...but we both know not every hero is superhuman; there are those who hold their own merely with human ingenuity, how does you 'Assault Training' program differ from tactics they may use regularly? You've also stated "heroes with superpowers are of no help;" from this statement I suspect you have a required criteria from recruits...are you excluding those who do use superpowers, or at least requiring them to gain experience with more mundane means?
These questions are more of a curiousity as I, myself, tend not to cooperate well in a military-esque hierarchy by any name. However, your call for help has attracted the ear of an apprentice of mine. He's a bit of an idealist...but every bit as stubborn and independent as I. -
Wow, Wolffe this is a wonderful way to start my morning! I've been thinking about a Fenris/Gray Huntress match up for some time too
It's great to see we were on the same train of thought. It reminds me of the day Fenris and Gray first met in the Bonny Morass.
Thank you for the honor of drawing her in one of your sketches, I'm absolutely thrilled. Gray threatened to make a cloak of him yet so I'm sure this will be one of many encounters in the future (with your permission of course). -
It's great to hear they've decided to tie the knot...it's like some daytime soap opera *sob* I'm so proud!
-
Well, I lied...I wasn't that individual, but I did do some research for you if you're still interested :P
-
I'll be happy to answer all of those questions for you
The charity is for the Domestic Violence Shelters, and while the bidding has already started on the silent auction on October 1st you can still submit your donation to by October 15th.
You can find the submission form at this website: Wonder Woman Day site, Oct. 25 2009
The link to the document is near at the top along the right side column, and information where you're supposed to send the form is provided on the document.
Hope this helps
The auction itself started on October 1st, so I'd assume the final submission date was a bit prior to that. -
It was me Foo, I was just using an alternate account...does this make you feel better?
-
Quote:Oh, no, I wasn't thereDemmit, I missed a badge!!! And I don't think even Oro can get me back to earn it!!!
And what? Gray was there? Nobody told me Gray would be there! I would have taken off work for that!!!
But awesome pics... They just need to be labeled so we can definitely tell who is who!But I am grateful Pyro ran such a successful event for the art forums and so that's where my gratitude came from
Maybe if I can get Test up and running finally, then I'll go to the next one.
-
Congratulations to all the winners and participants. Thanks for running a great community event, Pyro

Very nice, Caemgen
Care to let us know who the Daybreakers are (the individual members)? -
Christ...these -neg trolls are worse than fleas! At least with fleas you can exterminate them. I'd offer some +pos rep, but we both know the system is laughable at best.
Your art brings that extra spice into life -
I've thought about using colors, but I don't want to seem to be whispering all the time, as you'll have to strain your eyes to see my text.
Now to bring the thread back on topic: I've really enjoyed your recent sketches FD, considering the size of the project I know we'll keep getting pleasant eye candy for some time -
Congratulations EnnVee and Petey
And Caemgen too. I know Foo will represent your characters well.

Liking that idea better and better every time I hear it
TA! Got a job for you...

Quote:To be completely honest, I wouldn't want an additional thread either. This was just one thing I saw that might ease over some ruffled feathers about business going elsewhere. I think the sales thread is going to be added into the Network rather than have it's own area (I think I got that vibe from TA). If the issue about artists outside of the community was just something that temporarily cropped up, then things will return to the way they were before.then im a bit lost on why we need additional stickied threads considering that stickied atop the forum is Thor's Assassin The Network - A Resource (revamped) thread which already lists artists both from the forum and DA .
do we really need a local artist thread stickied atop the forum as well as a new sales thread to go with TA's network thread ?
