Yay for another successful SFS run!
I'll be away for the next few weeks so I will not be able to run the SFS. I think some of the others will also be busy or taking trips. I will be picking this back up probably in January, when I have to go back to work.
Thanks for all the great SF runs! See you all next year!

Fun, fun, fun time. We actually ran two Ouroborous SFs since they were so short. We fought all 3 AVs at the same time in the Lazarus SF. I'm still sore from all the faceplanting I did. :P
Please let me know who's in for next week after this post.
See ya's next weekend!

Yes, thanks for the reminder. Please let me know each week if you can make it, since a few who signed up originally couldn't make it. I think that would be best.
I am also adding a first-come-first-served "rule". This way we don't stand around just waiting and we can start on time. -
Yeah, it was too dark so I had to lighten it and that's what happened. :-/

That's true. Who's up for running a second team?
-
To the newcomers, there are a couple of people from in-game (they haven't created forum accounts yet) who are participating but I haven't added them to the list in the original post. I believe the team should be full, but you may still show up in case any of them can't make it.
I can start up a waiting list? -
I have a suggestion for managing this... Actually, two. Not sure which one will be the best though.
1. Create a group for this on here...
OR
2. Create a Facebook group.
I don't want to force anyone to join FB if they don't want to, but I have used their event calendar feature and I really like it. There are RSVP options, a comment section, photo upload... all specific for each event. I use it for my SG/VG TF/SF runs to see who's going to show up, etc.
What do you all think? Or, do you have better suggestions? I'd love to hear from everyone! -
Cool! Thanks for that, Stalemate! And, Trickshooter, I'll add you to the list in the OP.
Our next SF for Nov 22:
SF Name: "Pirates of the Sky", Silver Mantis
Contact: VG Mission Computer
Zone: Villaingroup Base*
Minimum Team Size: 4
Level Range: 20-25+
Merits: 42
*For this one, we can meet by the Cap base portal. -
Quote:Ah, yes. I should have done that in the post above with our stats. I knew I was forgetting something! So that anyone who is looking to join a particular SF can see which one we're doing this week.
I'll post it a little later today, when I'm officially out of bed. -

Yay! I updated the list of people interested and that will show up for this week's SF.
-
Quote:Done. Here's the link to the new thread with a reference back to this one.Yea, itld be better to start a new thread.... and to save alota time you should copy the TF data from the first page...
If ya can hear me Mods... Lock this thread

Bratde, the original thread said Sundays, so I just kept it as that. I do run a TF/ SF on Saturdays with my SG/VG. We alternate. The next one, tomorrow, happens to be a SF. We meet up at 2 pm CST every Saturday. We sometimes run low on teammates, so if you'd like, you can join us.
Send me an in-game tell or meet us in-game in Sharkhead Isle. So far, 3 VG people have confirmed that they are coming, so there's room. -
UPDATE: New start time is 4pm PST/ 6pm CST/ 7pm EST. Please check the latest posts for upcoming SF info! Looking forward to any newcomers!

This is in response to this thread. I'll be picking up where Smite_King left off and running Strike Forces on Sundays.
Here's the list of SFs as listed on Paragon Wiki.
List of villain trials. -
Ok. What I'll do is keep Strike Force Sundays alive. I know how long it takes for things like these to be picked up and become regular on Protector.
Anyone else? Should I start a new thread? -
I run a TF or SF on Saturdays around 2 pm CST for myself and SG/ VG people. We sometimes run low on people, so, if anyone was interested in this, feel free to send me a tell to @Gothess.
I could pick up your Strikeforce Sundays thing... If there is enough interest.
I send an invite through my Facebook group's page. I find that easier to do and manage.
Who/ how many of you are still interested in this being a Sunday thing? -
I should still have mine. You still want it?
-
Supergroup/ Villaingroup Name: COH Anonymous/ Black Sheep
Website: coh-anonymous.com
Global Chat Channel: AnonymousBS (by invite)
Leader or Recruiting Officers: @Gothess (all members have invite permissions)
Preferred Method of Contact: SG website, in-game email, tell, or any.
Guild Description: The group has been around for almost four years so we have a pretty decent base. We're casual and friendly, good for those who want a good group to play with or if you are a solo'er and just want a place to call home.
We do not have any special requirements other than good behavior and respect for everyone.
We have weekly Task Forces scheduled for Saturdays at 2 pm CST, as well as themed group nights on Mondays and Thursdays after 8 pm CST, and also villains' day on Sundays all day. (These may change and your attendance is not required, check our website forums for any changes.)
We're not terribly active but I play at least four days out of the week at varying times. I am looking to recruit more active members but will not sacrifice quality for quantity.
For more information, please feel free to browse our website (new look coming soon).
Thank you for your time!
Edited to include our VG name, it's pretty much the same info. -

If Manti and Recluse are working together to fix the timeline (or to alter it), it must have happened after Manti turned evil. Why pretend to be that violent, make up a story about how you killed your parents, if you were going to fix something? If this was something to do for the greater good, why all the subterfuge?
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, I think I may have an answer for this one.
Imagine you are born into a world very much like the one we live in now, but some crucial event changed your life and you still remember the world we live in now and consider it to be real!.
Manticore was mentored by Back Alley Brawler, but now suddenly the Brawler's all comatose (possibly from some dire mishap Manticore himself was responsible for), but Manticore remembers being mentored by the Brawler. His memory is rich in detail from all the good times they had together that suddenly never happen!
That would tend to make a person a bit insane. They cannot trust their memory because when they compare their internal world to the world around them, there is a major disconnect. They are delusional, and they know they are delusional, but they also know without a doubt that the problem is the external world not linking up with their internal one, not vice-versa.
This would naturally lead to all the problems Manticore is described as having: substance abuse, violent acting out, complete disregard for human life, etc. Even his blunt dismissal of his girlfriend (arrow to the chest is a pretty final way to break up, eh?). After all, from the perspective of his internal world, she's not even real!
So Manticore finds the one person just as insane as he is and joins forces with him: Lord Recluse.
Maybe, just maybe and this is pure speculation now, the main game world is going to become this alternate reality the Paragon Times is hinting at. Only three people remember the world the way it should be: Lord Recluse, Manticore, and YOU! Lord Recluse then becomes the mission contact for villains trying to set things back to normal while Manticore becomes the hero contact.
Or maybe I'm the one who's delusional.
