24 can be pretty tight for wanting all those powers in Specialy that Inv has the 'good' powers already at early lvl.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Hehehe, I know. I might be too eager, but I only wanted to give you some input on my "plans for the future".
  2. Thanks for the response!
    One question though...
Why not use the resistance powers? Aren't they worth having?
  3. Hi there people!
I'm relatively new to this game (since november) and haven't really come to terms with the strategies of a good build yet.

Can you distinguished gentlemen answer a question?

My main character is a Inv/SS tanker and I'm aiming for a respec at lvl 24 (since I've noticed that I'm not completely happy with my picks and slotting ).
    How should I build him?
(I want taunt and fly and the health power-pool is nice.)

(...) has resulted in one of the earliest public RPers in CoH withdrawing from roleplay entirely, due to frustration caused by this petition.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Now this is proof enough that it's time to end this in an orderly fashion. The RP:ing have been interresting but now it's getting to people.

    [ QUOTE ]
Ammon started this plot off, it's now Ammon's job to deal with the signatures, including the complete list provided by the Scotbot, (...) All we needed to do was to sign, or not sign; and the rest is up
to Ammon. Like it or not, this is HIS plot, and this makes him the GM for it, whether he wants to be or not.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sorry to say it Ammon, but FFM is right. It's you, and only you, that can end this. I don't care how. My hero GoodGuy signed and would like to see something good come out of it, but OOC I don't care. I only feel that the situation have to be resolved. Soon.

(edit: I just read Pious' post. Very well written and a nice way to try to defuse this. Well done!)
  5. I've been playing various roleplaying games for 25 years now (mostly classical "sitting-around-a-table-eating-pizza-while-playing" games, but occasionally other kinds like computergames and play-by-mail) and I must say that this current piece of work is really amazing in its power to engage the "community"!

Well done Ammon (and the rest of you giving it more life)!

I sincerely hope that this controversy amongst the gamers are purely IC, and that it's mainly the characters that react to the "badly worded" petition.

I'm quite new to CoX (only been playing since october) and hadn't even concidered to roleplaying it until this storyline emerged in Pocket D (and to be fair, Britanics Tempest Virus story as well)

Therefore; Thank you again for this brilliant piece of storyline!

Sorry, could I just ask if this is in or out of character?

If it's in character and it gets widely viewed, it's going to make things a lot worse.

If it's out of character, then it's really not appropriate.

    I'm currently assuming it's IC.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Yes it's IC.
And I know it might be "gasoline on the fire", but it's what my character would do.

Personally I love the various styles you can build your hero/villain in. I've got my fair share of crazy builds myself, so I'm not criticizing anyone.

Everybody just keep on playing and enjoying this wonderful game as you please!
  7. Global name: @Blatifagus
    Server: Union
    RP characters:
    [u]GoodGuy[u]
Crashed on earth as an infant and raised by farmers. Turned to heroism after his fathers death. (sounds familiar? It's intentional )
Tries hard to be a role model of heroism and will never hurt someone (apart from the rather violent arrests ofcourse). Constantly strives to improve the lives of "normal" people and is always ready to help someone in need.

    [u]Taxibot 9000[u]
A dissilusioned Taxibot. Bitter over the fact that nobody need the services anymore, since everybody got these new and shiny flightpacks and such. Tries to get drunk at Pocket D but can't afford to get an uppgrade that'll allow him to be intoxicated.

Type of RP: Taxibot 9000 = Constant, GoodGuy = In RP-areas as Pocket D and when I play with other RP:ers. (but he will often stop to help the odd civilian beeing robbed in Atlas Park as well )
Can be contacted: Game mail and tells
Times on: Fragmented but mostly evenings between 9 pm and 1 am.
    Timezone: European (GMT +1)
  8. [u]Open letter to all Heroes:[u]

It’s starting to get ugly. Heroes for People were meant to be a simple reminder of Paragons fixation on the super-powered so called “heroes”. But instead it’s tearing the hero-community apart!
Only the villains will gain something from this situation.

But come to think about it… half of the “heroes” of this city is nothing more than super-thugs!
Dressed like monsters with bat wings, billowing black smoke, spiked leather and grinning skulls. Fighting with swords and high-powered guns. Even raiding each other’s bases for mere trinkets!
Thugs and gangers the lot of them! Villains in disguise!

No wonder the “normal” people of the city is starting to resent them!

To be a hero is to be a role model. A good example.
Show the world that what really matters isn’t what you can do, but how you do it!

Being a hero isn’t about your powers! It’s about your heart!

Do you want to be a hero?
    Then act like one!

    // GoodGuy
  9. In a conversation with High Burn (a radiant girl whom he really wants as a girlfriend) GoodGuy is being informed of the movement. It's a good idea.
Every hero have to admit that they would be chasing street rabble if it wasn't for the "normal" guys tipping them of.
And about that "we have to save them all the time" routine. We only have to save them from other supers!

Normal people are the real heroes, daring to live in this crazy city!

GoodGuy signs the petition with a flourish!
