Praetorean Pinnacle is known as "The Dry Server".
*shudder* -

I'm sure the COMPANY has 50 employees, but how many of them actually work in the same cubicle farm alongside Positron, War Witch & Co.?
[/ QUOTE ]
I count 47 people in this picture, which is now outdated. -
[ QUOTE ]
So how many people do we have working in Paragon Studios now? I saw a picture of what looked like 20 people or so, but I was just wondering how many developers and staffers we have in that same office! Is there a list somewhere that names all the active employees?
[/ QUOTE ]
If memory serves, they're at around 50 right now. Don't ask for a quote because I can't give you one. All I know is that it was mentioned somewhere by some redname around the anniversary. -

And hey, where the hell is my __________?!?
A.) (insert power set) for (insert AT)
B.) (moon/space/gothic/rural/underwater/urban/underpants) zone
C.) pony
[/ QUOTE ]
Thanks... now I really want an underpants zone in the game!
[/ QUOTE ]
Dunno about you, but when I play, I'm always in an underpants zone! -
This is in, like, an hour, right?
-
Sounds great! Being on Steam might attract some folks who wouldn't otherwise give the game a shot.

*Looks at EMpulse's first post date*
SHE'S BEEN HERE BEFORE! SHE KNOWS WHAT WE DO! CHEEZE IT! -
What?!
You're ... I mean ... WHAT?!
Somebody hold me. I need holding.
I suppose it's fairly common for community reps with aptitude to move on to other things within the industry after a few years (assuming you're staying in the industry), but it's still so very ... weird when it does happen. I know we've still got Niviene, Mod 8, and recent import Avatea to all keep us in check and on course, but it really does feel like there's this sudden vacuum. Let's be honest here -- you've busted your tail for this community, and as skilled as the remaining community folks may be, I just dunno if they'll be able to match what you've done here during your tenure.
Jill, unlike some, I never got the chance to really know you outside of the "Administrator/User" relationship. But I still thank you so much for what you've done for us, and hope that only great things lie ahead for you, both professionally and personally. As is Pinnacle custom, the first shot tonight will be knocked back in your honor. And probably the second. Third's very likely as well. The fourth is a definite possibility. And, well ... you get the idea.
Salut! -
I can see a lot of different uses for the various bits 'n pieces. Of course, I've got one magic-based character who's gonna get most of the stuff, but I've also done some experimenting outside of the magical realm.
For example, the Baron With Vest option combined with the Renegade hat help pull together a fairly convincing zoot suit (in case you're wondering, I used the Boxing boots for substitute wingtips) -

The implementation of the costume change emotes is awesome!
I know there's a thing about never giving away stuff that others have paid for, but I'd dig it so much if this mechanic was made available to all players. -
[ QUOTE ]
Where is the costume change power?
[/ QUOTE ]
You open up your costume window and there's an option to choose which emote you want to play whenever you change costumes. -
[ QUOTE ]
ok, booster set now pls
[/ QUOTE ]
It's not up to them when the online store gets updated. Besides, this ain't even the right thread to be complainin' in! -

Paragon Studios? More villain hate!!
Swanky...what does this mean for funding/employees/content? More, less, same?
So many questions...
[/ QUOTE ]
They're still hiring, so I'd venture to say that they're still looking toward the future. -
[ QUOTE ]
Ok cool, uh wheres the booster pack that's "out" today?
[/ QUOTE ]
That's up to whoever updates the NCSoft online store. Conversely, if you live in the U.S., you can try to find a physical copy of the Architect Edition and get the magic booster that way. -

I dont get it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yea, is this the new name of NCSoft NorCal then?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep. NCNC is dead; Paragon Studios lives! -
Swank logo, swank name. Much better than NC NorCal or NC Mountain View.

I'd overhaul Super Strength a bit, mainly to make it more aesthetically pleasing and to put power animations more in line with power descriptions. Damage, recharge, animation times, and secondary effects would remain unchanged:
Jab: Change the name to "Body Blow" or something similar, keep the animation.
Punch: Change the name to "Hammer Smash", use a sped-up Haymaker animation.
Haymaker: Keep the name, change the animation to a sped-up Stun (baseball pitch punch) animation.
Rage: Villain-only change -- get rid of the bright gold glow; substitute it with something more appropriate.
That's about it, really. If I had my druthers, I'd forgo speeding up the new animation times en lieu of rebalancing Hammer Blow and Haymaker around the new animations. Sure, it'd make the set feel a touch slower, but it might also help to better convey a sense of power. But since this thread is about animation changes only, the above suggestions are the best I got. -
Just take ALL my money, why dontcha?
-
That, sir, is tremendous. I think I'd gladly relive the frustrations of my younger days in order to play a CoH MUD.
-
I'm confused, amused, and ... slightly aroused by this thread. O_o
I'm just gonna go sit over there ----> and try to figure out what's going on. -

I knew making my teaser would get them to hurry up...

Was there ever a doubt? -

At the least, "before the [censored] patch went Live so discussion might have had an effect on the distribution" was suggested by his wording...given it's Live and he's nowhere to be seen - as are any patch notes since Jan. 22 for people who think the "patch notes" button on the launcher should, y'know, take you to the MOST RECENT PATCH notes - anyone else wanting to see a Dev barbecue right now?
[/ QUOTE ]
That line of thought assumes that the merit changes were up for discussion at all, which was obviously not the case. Just because something goes to the Training Room, it does not necessarily mean that it gets to be voted upon. Most of the time, in fact, changes that go to the Training Room have long since been finalized internally and are just here to make sure they don't break the live servers.
