I actually find it quite refreshing that the Devs in this game speak to the playerbase directly and don't have that overly-polished PR speak pouring out of their mouths... err typing fingers.

I've played dozens of MMOs and usually the Devs barely communicate with the playerbase and you just get the community manager and/or some PR flunkeys murmuring the usual empty platitudes and advertising soundbites that we've all heard so many times before - all hype, no substance. Or, more likely, you just hear nothing whatsoever apart from occasional announcements telling you what's being changed with no prior warning or discussion.

Having Devs like Castle and BaB actually discussing core systems with the playerbase, like they do on US forums, is virtually unheard of outside of small independent MMO studios with playerbases in the thousands, rather than tens/hundreds of thousands like a triple A rated MMO.

That's certainly what they're think of with the MA slots - instead of deleting farm missions, they'd ban and lock them in the slot - so it'd be 3 strikes and you're out

Btw i DID read the EUlA i doubt many did, and there is absolutely NOTHING in it that says farming is an exploit or that you get punished for doing it.

In the whole EULA they didnt even mention the word exploit ONCE.

If the MA wasn't ok to use, the devs would never have made it - it's the way some people have been using it that's the problem.
And we really can't tell what's naughty and what isn't until we hear what types of 50s are being suspended.

If you've not PLed in the MA, then there's nothing to worry about - and even a few levels would probably be ok anyway - I think it's the 50s in less than a day that they're going to go after.

Again farming comm officers is NOT an exploit.
I wrote several petitions in beta how easy those mobs can be farmed for xp.....they knew it.

If the devs thought of comm officers to be an exploit they could have removed them 1 week after I14 went live and it became obvious... they didnt.
But they did remove other mobs like prisoners in one day without much trouble.

They knew it, they could have removed the comm officers from MA in one day... they didnt.. so they have no right to blame players now.
