Ta. All stems from a discussion with a brother who said I'd probably have super strength if i had super powers in RL. Also, I was able to pretty accurately make myself ingame. Anyone else manage that?

Whole point of having a good avatar is so I don't have to see me in game too... if I had to do that I'd quit now.
[/ QUOTE ]
That sounds like you're lacking confidence and self esteem

The only information I've found so far is this post that states that the animations are entirely new and not recycled.
[/ QUOTE ]
Note the:
Most of those are completely new
So there are some that are re-used.
(i soooo gonna laugh if they do the EM aoe punch as footstomp, like that guy did years ago in a edited demo).
[/ QUOTE ]
Go here for some brief videos
I've decided to use punches on one of my costumes, and I'll flip between them and kicks every 30 seconds

A tunnel under the ground power, perhaps?
[/ QUOTE ]
Apart from actual animation, and potentially limits to where it goes. How would it be different to Teleport?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm not sure - but CO has something like it
[/ QUOTE ]
And theirs look quite good i must admit, same with hoverboards [please i want!!!]
With all the new characters that WILL get made in GR, a revamped low level experience is needed and will be very well received!
[/ QUOTE ]
The revamping might not mean the current low level missions - it might just mean that Praetoria is a third starting area - like Heroes and Villains can't access Praetoria until level 20, but if you choose to start off as Neutral, you'd do various missions in Praetoria until you got to like 20, when you'd then get your first chance to choose to be good or evil, and get acces to the blue or red side content.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hope so.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd be ok with Heroes or Villains not being able to access Praetoria right at the start of their careers - it'd make sense that you couldn't fall/be redeemed until you'd gotten to a point where you could actually fall from/be redeemed from. -
So, without being an NDA buster, would you say it's the graphics, the gameplay or the content that needs the most work?

I'm fairly sure that supergroup doesn't exist either.

I know, I was only being silly

[ QUOTE ]
psychabilly, I'm sorry. But you're comment that homosexuals are afraid of homophobia so won't join a supergroup is one of utter and complete bull.
I know several people (myself included) who have never been afraid of putting themselves out there, infact, I don't know of a single instance where someone hasn't joined a supergroup because they where afraid of homophobia.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think the SG called "Homophobe Legion" has mostly straight members. -

Not sure - blind hope plays a big part in MMO launches, I think

Isn't this just totally cute?
[/ QUOTE ]
Those lovely ladies besides that ugly baby you mean?
No, it's cute (dang.. being daddy makes one soft to these baby pics lol)
[/ QUOTE ]
That "ugly baby" is actually BAB, who they rescued from a catastrophic crystal failure in the Ouroboros Citadel

And from the dev panel at Comic-Con, they've outlined the goals of GR:
Reinvent the early gameply experience.
Establish a new and compelling endgame.
A slew of new stroies to experience.
Introduce the Going Rogue system.
They also mentioned making 50s more powerful, with new challenges that make the current ones look easy...
Also, Praetoria may not be what we think it is, and it has a lot of secrets to uncover - plus, some characters are inhernetly good, and some are inherently evil, so it's not a one for one mirror version of Primal Earth.
They also mentioned their work on Praetorians "new and old" - so we'll be getting some cool new mobs, I think

Infact, my final point before I stop reading this topic.
A straight only supergroup would be an outrage, and people would flame it to no end, screaming it was homophobic.
Why should a G ay only supergroup be treated any differently?
Answer me that Shazan, please.
[/ QUOTE ]
Can't you just call your SG something like the "Manlove Justice Force"?
It'd avoid the censor filter, but still give a big clue as to what it's membership was like

Although why on earth people would refuse buffs when there are no limits, like other games, is beyond me.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, something like Speed Boost can make you run into walls or overshoot your target, and things like that ice armor just looks ugly on most avatars. -

You can buy each game for about 5 euros, or the whole pack of all 5 games for 15 euros.
[/ QUOTE ]
Whats that in real money?
[/ QUOTE ]
About 20 bucks, I think. -
I think CO will last a little longer than AA and TR

Although, if it doesn't go so well, I wouldn't expect them to concentrate on it too much when they have a mega brand like Star Trek to work on... -

as I suggested in the OP, we really should demand and expect something... special...
...and they'd better deliver!

They will
GR will be a totally awesome enhancement of the game. -

It's a natural progression if you're talking about disabling the look of buffs
If the devs would go to the trouble of allowing players to turn off buff color effects, then they should also allow players to turn off the actual stuff that buffs do.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sorry, no. All colours are rendered client-side. Yes, the server is telling the client what to display, but the client is where the option to not display custom colours would be stored. So disabling the "look of buffs" has nothing to do with the ability to disable the buffs themselves, which is information handled server-side. That makes it a QoL change vastly outside the scope of recolouring.
[/ QUOTE ]
That doesn't matter - if we're talking about disabling the color of buffs, then it's totally ok to discuss the need to be able to disable the effects that buffs cause too.
