I think the offices will look very familiar - but with purple or gray carpet

As any avatar can beging to switch sides from 20+, I think there's a very good chance there'll be some 20-50 content in GR, either new moral missions in Paretoria, new moral missions in Paragon city and the Rogue isles, or revamps of some current blue and red content to add moral choices to them.

The important thing to remember is the GR is not a standalone game, and it does not have an alternative 1-50 leveling path -but that doesn't mean it won't have content that covers 1-50.

There is content in Paretoria after 20 - but you'll have to go to Paragon City or the Rogue Isles first to level up past 20 to whatever level the second part of the GR storyline starts at - 1-20 is the first part, and then sometime before 50, the second part will start, and that will ksot likely involve a return to Praetoria

The four new Paretorian zones only cover 1-20, so it'll be interesting to see how the second part of the storyline takes that into account.

And yes, I am saddend to see we are getting 2 new maps... I was hoping for maybe 20 new maps.
The 2 new tile sets will have lots of variations, like all the current tile sets have - War Witch also hinted that there'll be a change in the way mobs are placed on the new tile sets

  5. I met an 8 year old the other evening, so the player base age spread is at least 52 years - which is rather cool
  6. I don't have a problem getting a team if I want one, but I know some people do, so I'd support anything that made teaming easier for people on the Euro servers.
  7. An in-game chibi Apex pet should be the 7 year vet reward.

EDIT: I see the candy heart at Apex's feet says "REZ PLZ" on it

Maybe that'll be Dr. Aeon's next AE challenge? Like write a five part arc featuring the five maps he's shown us in this thread?
  9. A single player version of this would simply be about Fusionette.

So you don't think it might have been anything to do with veteran players being more likely to attend something like that then someone who's only been playing for three weeks?

  17. Outbreak is contained in the same way that all the other gang troubles are contained - they're never totally beaten, but they can never win weither

In fact, I think they've gone down a bit since last year

And until the future arrvies, you'll be buy evil socks for Black Scorpion

It's been 5 years and you heroes haven't even been able to clean up Outbreak...and you consider that winning?
The problem's contained - it's not spread to the rest of the city, so I'd say that while it's not a total victory, it's still a success

The problem is that it's difficult to write a contact that has your character set up as the one being proactive, rather than just following orders.

The natural state in the Hero vs. Villain dynamic - whether the heroes win or lose - is that villains are proactive and heroes are reactive; villains scheme, and heroes try to stop them. But in the MMO format, it's extremely hard to write the story where the player is the one making the scheme. So, most contacts have the player working for them, as either a lackey or a mercenary. This frustrates some players, who want a more independent character.
But even if you were still more independant, you could never do the big stuff - you couldn't overhtrow Recluse, or take over Paragon City - the epic level evil plots would be off limits to player villains because they'd be destined to fail.

I guess that rules out the 7 DP + 1 Scrapper ITF you and Synapse saw some of during the DP closed beta then?
