Quote:That's just personal tasteI...didn't know that was a problem o.o
*makes note to shave later*
Some guys can totally rock facial hair, but I just don't think Castle is one of them - his outfit is very nice, and the colors are distinctive, but the beard just ain't working
I think it might be a safety hazard too, with all those fire/kins running around
-
Quote:But the clamps in the picture are the wrong way around - the end bits are rubber, and the handle parts are metal - I know the guy's a mad scientist, but that doesn't mean he's that dumb that he'd hold eletrical things by the metal partsWhy are you under the impression that all tools related to electrical work must conduct electricity? Specifically, why must tools designed to be held in your hand conduct electricity? Wouldn't it be smarter for them to NOT conduct so you wouldn't shock yourself on high voltage?
I specifically bought myself a pair of rubber-handle pliers for this reason alone, because I often have to stick them into the light sockets of a particular lamp that likes to unglue the glass of a bulb from its metal base, which you then can't unscrew normally without glass in it.

Quote:It didn't - the construction work was much later - it was added as part of the preparation for the rocket launch site to take us to the moon zone.Actually, I think they did talk about it back when Jack was in charge. The Wellman arc on redside that features a rebuilding Boomtown first appeared in 2005. I think the expectation at that time was that a revamp of Boomtown was on its way.
I think that's also when the area at the northeast of Steel Canyon changed to a construction site. That was probably before 8/05, as I believe it preceded the Hellion fires. -
Quote:Ghost Widow is just wrongIs there a 'McDreamy' in the pantheon of COH signature characters? If a poll was taken, I'm not actually sure who the fans would pick. Psyche and Ghost Widow are obviously popular female characters, but who're the top two male characters? Surely there must've been a thread about this at some point, right?

As for the boys, Manticore has hair you could lose your hands in, so that's often a big plus point - and Foreshadow looks like he could be fun - and Synapse too, as long as he slows down.
But quite a few of the signature heroes are too manly for my liking - BAB is too bodybuilder-ish, Infernal is too demonic, Woodsman is too hairy, Castle is too beardy, Citadel is too metal, Statesman is too old - although I'm sure he was quite the stud back in the day, and even if he doesn't look so old now, it'd still be way too "Twilight" to get invovled with him
Of course, like I said, that's all just my opinion - there'll be others who'll find them all drop dead sexy - so I think the best solution would be for you to draw a large selection of the male characters in various states of undress, and then we could grade them to find the winner of City of Hunks 2010. -
That's just gross.
I think they're probably building clamps of some sort - maybe for holding glued pieces of wood together?
Or metal, if the guy's a mad scientist - doomsday devices aren't usually made of wood
Strange - I've never seen one - although it's not resally something I look forQuote:Yes they exist.

Quote:I've only ever seen temp lamps with screws to hold them, not clips - although I'm sure they existNo, they aren't meant to conduct electricity...they are meant to hold things in place. They're general purpose, so you could use them in electrical applications...but typically they hold things like tarps.
I've also seen spotlights with these clamps on the end so you can attach them somewhere temporarily.

Quote:But they can't be for electric use because the ends are plastic - or maybe rubber. They look like metal spring clamps to me...
Usually they are used for clamping things.
Not sure if they're woodwork ones either - I think those usually use a screw to close them.
My dad has a small construction company - so I've seen the kind of tools they use

Quote:If I did, i wouldn't have asked what they wereMEATBAG! DO YOU NOT RECOGNIZE THE BETADYNIUM RESISTANCE-MODULATED FORCEPTUAL GRIP APENDECES IN THE GRASP OF DR. INSANO?

Plastic can conduct electricty?Quote:Aka some kind of clamps, I believe. I've seen similar for electrical work, albeit with neon orange instead.

I love the AE - I usually play at least one arc when I'm on.

By the way, going by those interviews, staying in the gray area as a Vigilante/Rogue will be rather lonely, as you'll not have any SG access at all - so if you want to stay gray, then you'll need to be very selective about what you keep in your inventory

Quote:That was a specially made preview[must presume the one zone is used for the high levels since in the DP video that high level character fighting the clockwork didnt take them down in one shot did he]

As for the apread, I'd guess that 1-5, 6-10, 10-15 and 16-20 would be the ranges of the new zones, possibly with some overlapping.
Or, if the Underground is a Resistance-only zone, then I'd expect Nova Paretoria to be a loyalist-only zone to balance it out, with Neutropolis and Imeprial City being used by both sides.
So assuming the tutorial will end at level 2, and having made you choice who to support during it, you'd then exit to either Nova Praetoria of the Undergound, with both of them being 1-5, and Imperial City or Neutropolis covering 5-10 and the other covering 10-20.
Moral choice missions might take longer than usualQuote:The hollows is a 5 - 15 zone and can be done in a couple of hours. Cant be that many arcs in that level range since one arc can get you from say 5 - 10 in one go so two/three arcs and your there? Must create a new character/flashback to get the others?
GR is more than a handful or arcsQuote:WW said in an interview this year is all about content after GR is released and im sooooooo going to hold her to that word
I want more than a handfull of arcs!

Quote:Come on now, deep down, you know that isn't anywhere near the same as the bath picture.lol. You win this round, Golden Girl.
Wish we were still publishing a COH comic so we could give all the ladies out there some equal opportunity eye candy.
But before I throw in the towel completely, you might to check the last couple pages of Issue 8, where Back Alley Brawler suits up in his new uniform, or the first half of Issue 9, where he opens up a big can of butt-kickery on some goons. You have to admit that there's a certain beefcake factor to the proceedings.
And as for throwing in the towel - save it - you'll need it to keep your Maelstron shower pictures in line with the game rating.
EDIT: By the way, it doesn't just have to be Maelstrom - Manticore, Foreshadow or Synapse would also be quite acceptable alternatives -
Quote:1 - We're working on it.Well, I've re-subbed after several months off and thought I'd see what I missed.
Any good happen? Is Damz still not house-trained? Has Scarlet Shocker stopped listening to crappy music? Is Dreamweaver still daaaaammmn sexy?
Come on people, give me some goss!
2- Not sure.
3 - Almost certainly.
Also, welcome home

Quote:Well, evil never sleeps, so I guess there have to be heroes on duty all the time - although I'm sure it's not the same people 24/7For serious. I logged in at 4am today, and out of curiosity I did a Find blueside. 48 visible characters! And all genuine-looking names, too, not random gold-farmer gibberish. Does no one on Defiant ever sleep?

Quote:Also, as it's still Earth, then things like caves would look the same, even in an alternative universe - the geology of the planet wouldn't change just because Marcus Cole turned evilNow, if everything from GoRo on is shiny and set for Ultra Mode, then two tilesets could be all that is needed. One tile set is what makes up the look of the underground; one tileset makes up the look of the Praetorian Tech Labs. Everything in CoH is reused. Sometimes sets are duplicated and have battle-damage added; some sets are duplicated and made to look weathered.
