MM pet customization is something they've said they're looking at, but it's apparently way harder than other types of power customization.

Quote:As the Incarnate conent is contained in the zone events in the four new Praetorian zones, I think it's quite likely you won't have too much interaction with Arachnos or Longbow. If the Incarnate system was written in the same spirit of lackeyism as the 40s missions, a *lot* of players would have a strongly negative response.
My sense is that the devs listen a little too closely to feedback they get from players for that to happen.
In slightly more general terms, the Incarnate arcs would be a wonderful time for Arachnos and Longbow to take an extended vacation, given their ubiquity throughout the rest of a villain's career.
You might also be pleased to know that the Going Rogue system won't use contacts - so you'll be saved from further abuse and humiliation at the hands of Arachnos contacts
-
Sure - you can show me your archvillain badge just as soon as you're done polishing Recluse's boots

But more seriously, you can't really complain that you're treated like a servant, then say you're an archvillain too - you have to be either one or the other

Is there a new high five emote?

Quote:With the option to doublecross RecluseStill doesn't change the fact that Heroes will be given free will on the Incarnate system, and Villains - no, Servants, because you don't actually get to be a Villain in that game - will be ordered about as usual.

Also, you are a villain in CoV - you might even be a supervillain - but you're just never an archvillain - so you really are exaggerating when you say you're not a villain in CoV

Quote:That might be something to do with Statesman being a veteran hero and Recluse being a power crazed dictator - one of those two types is more likely to have an impact on the area where they liveAnd yet Heroes don't have Statesman shoved into every aspect of their lives.
-
Quote:He'd send you, one of his most trusted followers, to investigate whatever the reason for the Incarnate System appearing will be - and then you'd doublecross him, and take the power for yourselfHaving Recluse encourage other villains to become an Incarnate wouldn't make any sense. Why would Recluse show up as anything but an opponent to the idea of characters gaining the powers of an Incarnate? Why would he want the competition?

Quote:As Recluse and Statesman are the two main Incarnates in the game lore, it seems quite possible that the Incarnate System might use them as a hook. No! Screw Recluse! Stop trying to shove Recluse into everything. Stop tying every blood plot point to Arachnos. Stop trying to sell missions as tasks for Arachnos.
I don't want Lord Recluse to send me ANYWHERE, and if the Incarnate system assumes that, then it will be a huge pile of FAIL right from the start. If I'm going after the powers of the Incarnates, then I want it to be on MY authority, looking to take the power for MY own personal use by MY devices. If contacts are required to do this (which they probably will be), then have them offer to help me. Do NOT NOT NOT have them out and out order me to go get Incarnate power.
No. Just no. Arachnos can go to hell. Enough with the Arachnos. I don't care about them. I don't want to serve them. I don't want to put up with them, and I sure as HELL don't want new content to be about them. -
Quote:I think you're maybe expecting a little more from GR than you're actually going to getUntil GR introduces Praetoria where it isn't.
GR has player choice in arcs, and the ability to be proactive. Either accept that, or move on.

If the devs don't feel that revamping a single zone like Dark Astroia is a good use of resources, then the chances of them going through the entire content of CoV and rebuilding it are close to zero - as in minus 5 or so
-
Quote:Words frequently associated with villainsHe actually treats the character with respect, dignity, decency and respect.

Also, from what I've heard, he's a little less big on the dignity, decency and respect if you're not male - like he actually tries hititng on you
-
Quote:Content wise, I think you're probably going to have to look for respect in the new stuff - revamps of smaller things like some of the older enemy models has been said to be a major bit of work by the devs, so the chances of them going through the entire red side game and revamping contacts and missions to give you more respect seems pretty small right now.Stop having fun, guys. The new arcs don't actually deliver. It isn't possible to feel like you're in charge when you're taking missions from contacts, no matter what you may have thought at the time. Bases can't be expanded, dialogue can't be rewritten, new systems can't be implemented. Party's over.
Something like the Incarnate System could invovle you being sent by Recluse to investigate whatever it is that's going to be the source of it, and then double crossing him to get the power for yourself, making you an incarnate, and so you'd then be his equal in power.
Or you could be sent to Praetoria to investigate the new dimension because Recluse trusts you as an equal, and thinks only someone with your power would be capabale of the mission. -

No - I think it's cool players can be villains as well as heroes - but they can't really expect the same treatment from the game, because the midnset of villains means their chosen path is going to be rougher than the heroic path.

Quote:If you see one like that, make sure your report contains a detailed description of the mission content, plus the global name of the publisher. There's also players who un-plublish and re-publish exploitable missions on a daily basis, ensuring that their exploitable arc continues to change arc numbers. A report system would have to be based against global names, and would only effective for missions that were active when a GM could look at them. Arcs that had been unpublished, but saved to the hard-drive, could be republished at a later date. Remember: just having an exploitable arc loaded to your hard-drive may not mean you actually ran it, or used it to power/level or exploit.

If someone already has a goatee and an eyepatch, I think their evil twin would probably get small black leather gloves.
-
Quote:If you go from Villain to Rogue, and get access to Paragon City, doing evil there will tip you back to being a full villain, and you'd be locked out of the blue side until you did enough good deeds to become a Rogue againI can't wait to go rogue and make Paragon a better place... for evil.
-
You can already report things you think are exploits - and the GMs do act on them too.

Quote:Well, come July, the shipping can beginAgain, who gives a crap about the Isles. Given half a chance, most people would ship out of them in a heartbeat. The player distribution between heroes and villains reflects this wonderfully. And no, it's not JUST because people want to be the good guys.

Although, GR might bring some more respect to villains too

Quote:But that's back to the same problem - the game says you're actually the true power in Arachnos, but it won't let you actualy do anything to follow that up.Clearly you've never heard of the figure-head ploy. Leave someone weaker in charge, so THEY have to deal with harassment from the 'Hero' types that feel the need to force their ideals among others. They get to deal with the headaches, and you are left free to enjoy whatever it is about being a Villain that got you into this.
