Plus, just like all the other systems added to the game, the Incarnate system is totally optional, and won't affect the core game at all.
-
That depends - if you need 3 bits of Incarnate salvage to craft an enhancement, then you can either run the 3 TFs you need to get the parts, or collect Incarnate Shards from normal 50 missions and craft the salvge from those - I think the conversion rate in the GR beta was 4 Shards for one bit of slavage - so that'd be 12 Shards to make the 3 bits of salvage you wanted for the enhancement.
That's one of the awesome thing about the Incarnate salvage drops - they're not random, they're tied to a suitable TF, so you can target exactly what you want, rather than having to rely on luck. -
Quote:The fact that farming Inf would also be pointless as the Incarnate stuff is non-tradable might also have been one of the reasons tooThe Alpha Slot info page lists the following ways as some examples of how you can get components: LGTF, ITF, STF, RSF, and CoP. A logical assumption might be that preparing your character / supergroup to run high-level TFs and SFs would be a better use of your time than optimizing for AE grind; the devs probably chose the examples deliberately.

The only "grind" involved is if you're deperate to have the abilities as fast as possible - level 50s doing normal level 50 content at a normal pace will still get the Incarnate drops.

Mother Mayhem's hospital has a nice haunted house vibe to it - it looks quite remote too

I hope there's a guide for the alpaha slot before I19 comes out - all the excitement of this info release doesn't make it easy to think clearly

Quote:Well, more variety for mission maps - especially the wareshouse ones - has been a pretty frequent request from quite a few playersSo, in Issue 20, in addition to a new 24 person public quest, we get... more warehouse maps! Sweet! Just what this game needs.

I don't use build planners - I just ask people for advice

You do know that there are at least 9 more slots still to come, don't you?

Quote:There's also that paraody version about internet flame wars - but the content means it can't be linked hereI just did the right thing and listened to the official music video while I read this. Made my day. Can we get together a band and make this a reality?

Quote:Positron said just before the launch of GR that the Incarnate slots wil be given out in ones or sometimes twos in each Issue.Only one thing worries me about this update and it is this quote from the GR homepage:
"Every major content update will reveal new Incarnate abilities."
Does this mean every Issue will have a new Incarnate slot OR only large Issues will have a new Incarnate slot? Not to be too picky but if we only get one or two slots a year for the next few years, then I will be disappointed.
Other than that though, this stuff looks amazing. -
Quote:The idea is to make the existing high level content into part of the Incarnate system by having them drop Incarnate salvage - if you want the Incarnate salvage, you can either run the exisitng high level missions to get the Incarnate shards to craft into the Incarnate salvage parts, or you can run the existing high level TFs to get the Incarnate salvage parts ready-made.Well. I don't want to have to repeatedly repeat old content repetitiously in order to access new content. That would be DoooOooOOooOOom as far as I'm concerned. So, here's hoping there are ways to move our level 50 characters forward without having to first move them backward. Again.

The Incarnate Shards drop from normal missions, and can be crafted into the unique ones you get from TFs and raids.
-
If it's the same crafting system as the version in the GR beta, then the Incarnate Shards can be gotten on normal missions, and can be crafted into the ones you get on the TFs - so solo players can still use the system, even if it takes longer than getting the parts via TFs.
-
A sidekick "pet" would fit in with the idea of the Incarnate system, which make players on the same level as the NPC Incarnates, so once someone was that powerful they might start training a new hero as their sidekick.
A sidekick pet would probably be added to the agme at the same time as MM pet customization, as they'd be using the same basic tech for custom pet costumes. -
Mender Silos might have found a way to stop them going back in that partiular time stream - or the Mysterious Letter Writer who gave the Midnighters their crystal might have made sure it couldn't access that time stream.
