I think an entire legion of them might be protecting Tyrant for the final showdown

EDIT: By the way, if the next 4 slots give us 2 more level shift the way the latest 4 slots have, and the final fight with Tyrant come out after them, then it's possible we'll be 50 +5 for it, in which case the devs might be planning to make the Olympian Guards be only AVs - like whole mobs of AVs protecting Tyrant. -

-
The Coming Storm will also mostly an Incarnates thing, as it's the next step up after we've defeated Tyrant - although I'm sure there'll be some non-Incarnate tie-in missions too.
-
The Incarnate system is Trial-based - it's co-op multi-team content.

I think it's party been made a target by the way players have used it - becasue so many people chose it as thier starting zone, and have memories of their first avatar appearing there from the tutorial, plus all the extra fun of costume contests, chatting, new players mingling with vets, and just generally goofing around in the zone, it has a much stronger emotional pull than Galaxy City - it feels more like home, so seeing it under attack or in danger adds more punch to a story than if it was Galaxy City being threatened.
-
I'm not sure it can really be explained - it just is

When CoH launched, there were 2 starting zones, but one of them, for some reason, seemed to attract far more players than the other - you'd need to ask all the early players why they chose it ahead of Galaxy City .p -
Atlas Park is the heart and soul of the city - and the game too
-
I think she just wants to try and save Recluse, for the sake of himself and for the sake of her grandfather.

Search for "Gaming Angels" and "War Witch", and you'll get one from the results page.

Maybe the devs are planning another in-game wedding event?

Quote:I guess they did the floating fortress and warship interriors in their lunch hour?I like how the art animation team is tied up because of incarnate content.

If you play any 50 with an open Alpha slot, then you're going to end up with enough Shards to open and equip more slots.Quote:So? Unless the accumulation of shards will somehow suck me into a black hole and dump me out in the BAF, I'm good.
The new TF isn't really tied to the Incarnate storyline - the new SF is, although it doesn't involve Praetoria.Quote:I'm quite aware the new TF is tied to the Incarnate storyline. I have no intention of running it. I'm rather tired of City of Praetoria. But ah well, it's a new shiny. Hopefully the Devs will get it out of their system soon enough.
Praetoria will be expanded in future Issues, plus we have several more Trials set there before we have a showdown with Tyrant, and then it's on to the Coming Storm Trials

Quote:When did it happen? It was clear that to add an end game system they would have abandon the rest of the game. And that is what has happened thus far, and may happen in the near future.
You know that once you open the Alpha slot, it's impossible to avoid getting Shard drops as you play, don't you?Quote:Actually I've run the Ramiel arc before. That was before I realized the direction the Incarnate content was headed. As long as it was soloable story arcs and random shard drops just from playing my character like I normally would I was fine. The second I heard about the raids though, all bets were off.
There was a new TF and a new SF in I20, both for sub-50s - although as the reward at the end of the SF can be converted later into an Incarnate component when you hit 50, you might need to avoid playing that one too.Quote:I will admit I may be reacting prematurely. I was not the least bit amused that I20 was "CoH: Get Your Raid On". -
Quote:I wonder is he intends to use his robot making skills to try and make a physical form for Numina? There are already a few examples in the game of a spirit or consciousness inhabiting a machine, and a project like that could be a perfect symbol of their relationship, merging sceince and magic. And admittedly, Numina might be an interesting pair for him, opposites but not quite, they're both rational people, but in different ways, plus, Positron's not the kind of scientist to dismiss magic, he even seems the kind to be fascinated by it and want to learn more to be able to factor in better.
-
That's just a mental block you need to overcome - run the Mender Ramiel arc and unlock your Alpha slot - it only takes like 30-45 minutes, and can be done solo.

Where's the 4th wall being broken in that cutscene? The Durays are discussing the normal and Praetorian versions of the Terrible Two - that's not breaking the 4th wall at all.

Quote:This is his purpose in life - a signature character so feeble that you hardly notice he's any tougher than a normal minionhave Maelstrom call us stupid right before we beat the tar out of him

He's been described as "a badass with two pistols" - and that's correct, except that the word order is slightly wrong
