The DA mob level range is 50-54.

Quote:Just like every TF?There's a big difference between challenge and grind. These trials aren't challenging. Once you learn what to do with them they are relatively simple to do by rote.
What parts of the ITF, Kahn, LGTF and STF are more challenging than the Trials, and require more thought and teamwork? -
And even if we get to that level of power there'll be enemies with even more power who we'll need to defeat with a team of Incarnates - we will never, ever be the most power people in the game, because then the game would lose any challenge.

There's also the chance there'll be a DA 1 and DA 2 from time to time, especially on the bigger servers, so I think that Trials should probably form in the safe area near the entrance, to make it easier for people to pop in and out if they end up in the wrong version of the zone.

Unless some responsse have been deleted, then the Facebook comments aren't really uncivil - the apparent knowledge gaps and misunderstandings in the review gave the impression that it hadn't been done to a very high standard, which caused some players to express surprise and/or annoyance, as CoH goes along quite quietly under the radar, so reviews don't come along that often.

Quote:The biggest problem with DA being the Trial staging zone is that the street mobs mightn't respawn fast enough to keep up with the frenzied packs of Incanrates thowing out Judgements in the downtime between TrialsBy the way, if the progress rates on offer there are not glacial, I do think DA is going to be the new place to form iTrials. I just don't see the point in going to RWZ or PD. If you're waiting for an iTrial, right now you're forced to stand around doing nothing. Once DA becomes an Incarnate progress zone, you can fight stuff there while waiting and potentially earn something while doing so. If the DA makeover comes bundled with the ability to run door missions while in the LFG queue, this is even better, though the LFG queue itself will still need some functional improvements, IMO. I expect most league leaders to try to fill a league on a direct invite basis, not with the queue, because only by direct invite can you see what you're getting, and the UGT, TPN and especially MoM do require you to pay at least some attention to what's on your league.

At the Player Summit, the devs also dropped a pretty big hint that there's a third way to Incarnate power that doesn't involve the Well or Prometheus.

There should be a patch of ice under Maelstrom when he starts walking in the TPN cutscene

I'm not sue where you're getting this servant/slave thing from, when the game carefully spells out that the slow path to Incarnate power is the way to stay free from the Well's control - we're stealing its power - Tyrant's the one being given it in exchange for his free will.

I guessed you'd like the fireworks

This is the adjustment some people are having problems with

For the Trials to be challenging, they need to have a risk of failure which isn't really present in the non-Trial parts of the game, apart from some of the tougher TFs. -
Quote:Accordning to the devs, Praetorian Nemesis died as "a happy old clock-maker" and never became a Villain, and Tyrant murdered Praetorian Stefan Richter at the Well of the Furies, and absorbed the power of Tartarus as well as Zeus - which would explain why he seems to have his dictatorship set up like a version of Arachnos, but with cleaner streetsOh, and I have a Praetorian lore question (cuz I'm not terribly familiar with it): what happened to the Praetorian versions of Lord Recluse and Nemesis?

I meet new players every time I log in - some of them will become VIPs, and to them, the Trials will be normal.
Staring with the Sewer Trial, the game is now teaching players the basic of Trials - and with more Trials being add to the LFG tab like the Halloween and Winter Trials, the whole Trial system will be as normal as running a story arc to all the the post-Freedom players. -

Incarnate debt?

If the next 5 slots have different types of IXP that are only available on new Trials, then players will play them - nothing can head that offQuote:I say that because even now, some developer somewheres is trying to figure out how to prod us into doing this content, and whatever it is its not going to work. Heading that off at the pass.

According to Prometheus, yes.
Also, the Well of the Furies has only recently "woken up" because it senses a threat to its very existence - to protect itself against this coming danger, it's chosen a champion to protect it - but because it's a mindless entity that only responds to power and the use of power, it's chosen Tyrant to be its champion - it doesn't care how he uses power - all that matters to it is that he's somene who will use its power when it's given to them, unlike Statesman and Recluse.
Becasue he's taken this massive amount of cosmic power all at once, he's now under the control of the Well - but again, unlike Statesman and Recluse, he's not trying to avoid its control, which is why he's become its champion.
We're just tapping into the Well a little at a time, which keeps us free of its control - we're basically fighting against the Well using its own power - but because its mindless, it doesn't care - whoever wins the Praetorian war will be the most powerful, and that's all that matters to it.
As to what danger the Well has sensed approaching, it seems likely that it's something that'd want to get hold of a cosmic power source in the same way that it devours worlds and burns Kheldians and fuel for its starships. -
Quote:The Trials imply that the AVs are taken out in a pretty permanent way.I'm sick of all the praetorians limping away due to plot when they should be deader than dead. It's war, 99% of our characters would have gladly ripped Marauder's head clean off at the end or blown a hole straight through anti-matter. None of my characters, hero or villian want to let Cole live. NONE. OF. THEM.

He should have done a little more basic research

The only connection that I have to the developers is that I enjoy playing the game that they make
