I've not heard anything about any dionsaurs in future content
But they did pull an crocodile head and other reptile parts from the animal pack - it was listed in the patch notes, but then changed very quickly, and any posts quoting it also disappeared.
As it was over a year ago, that seems like quite a long time to hold them back for a 2nd animal pack - so it's possible that they could be keeping them back because they're connected to some larger bit of content. -

The Shadow Shard will feature in upcoming story content

One of the weirdest things about this whole disaster is that apparently the budget didn't actually go up that much - which means it wasn't the result of the stuido throwing money at it to try and save it as an altenrative to just dumping it and cutting their losses - there was actually someone at Disney who, at some point, agreed to give it a budget larger than the entire LotR trilogy
-
Talos and Striga combined would be cool - then you could still take the ship to fast travel, or fly/swim instead.

Here it is - coming this summer - and that's as specific as I can be right now
-
It's about the same height as the leprechaun - but imagine it the size of the Kronos Titan as an avatar of the Well that's created by Tyrant trying to take too much power from the Well - that'd look cool, especially if the fight was in Tyrant's lava lair - that'd be a really neat way of bringing the Praetorian content full circle.
-
From the way they worded it, it sounds like there are at least 2 more Praetorian Trials still to come.

Quote:The 4th comic was also wrttien and planned out around the time GR came out, but it'll get a few tweaks to tie it in with newer content. So what's planed for the 4th Comic any hints?
I enjoy reading the comics, Good work on them.
It's also a kind of transition from the current set up in the first 3 of focusing on the experience of a generic new hero to another angle that will still be informitive for newer players, so it starts off in a similar way to the first 3, but then shifts towards the new angle, which will lead into the 5th and 6th ones, which are a 2-parter
EDIT: Actually, I think I'll upload the cover for the 4th one, as a kind of preview - but it'll be a few months before the whole issue's ready. -

Quote:Removing rooting would solve that problemThe reason you have 5 seconds of warning for most big killer attacks or abilities is because you need to take into account the Root Time for longer animating powers otherwise it punishes some powersets a great deal more than others.

Quote:I'd love a Chinatown area for the city - I'd probably have a few Tsso missions in itThe highways could be cleared away for something new. Kong Bao(isn't there another Asian named contact just across the street from him?) who's supposedly a part of the Hmong community, could reside in a small Chinatown section. You could tuck Jake Montoya's Red Tiger statue to something a smidge more subdued/smaller and stick it in some dark corner of the new zone. It'd change it from little traveled section to something a bit more interesting.

On the UStream broadcast today, Positron said that there are some upcoming tweaks that will make the solo progress rate slightly faster.

Quote:Well, it was part of a traffic flow project in the 70s that was abandoned, that's why the bridges are only in that zone - the orginal idea seems to have been to create freeways over the city to reduced the amount of traffic on the normal roads.I've always regarded Skyway City as a bit of a disaster, design-wise. Its one notable feature, the series of elevated highways, is nonsensical. Even in a world of super-powered heroes it defies all logic. :P And there's nothing else memorable about the zone, it's utterly bland and lifeless. Instead of revamping it, I'd actually scrap it entirely and leave an echo version in Ouroboros.
Move the entrance to Overbrook/Faultline to another zone, move Synapse (and revamp his TF while you're at it) and the helicopter leading to Bloody Bay and call it good! -

Quote:Skyway City could be developed as the gritty urban decay route for 10-20, while Steel Canyon is the 10-20 route for classic heroes.IMO, Kings Row should be the goto zone for urban vigilantes and dark crusaders of all levels to fight more 'street level' threats and when they need a more gritty and, shall we say, gothic backdrop for content. It saddens me when I make such characters and have to leave the environment perfect for them.
Contrast that Steel Canyon which should be upscale, all gleaming towers suited for high flying men and women of tomorrow.
An alternative would be to make the vigilante core route be Kings Row 5-20, and Skyway 20-30, followed by Brickstown as 30-40, with a new 40-50 zone, possibly a repurposed Boomtown.
The clasic hero core route could be Atlas Park, Steel Canyon, Talos Island, Founder's Falls, Perregrine Island.
Zones like Independence Port could be revamped to be a mix of both styles. -

Quote:A slight correction that Positron made while talking about a Perez revamp makes me think that it's still on the table, and that it's going to have another level rangeThere will be a panel for making a case to revamp zones. Why revamp King's Row? it's the logical progression from Atlas Park. it needs a bit of a scrubbing, modernize things a bit. he would love to pick Perez Park, put a crater where the forest maze was. Bit too radical for a simple revamp though. The devs do want to nuke Perez Park though. I22 was supposed to be Perez Park and Dark Astoria but they realized they only had enough manpower/resources to focus on one.

Quote:Or option 3 - Tyrant and the Hamidon both realize that their time is over unless they unite against us - they've already made one deal in the pastI'd actually say both at once seems likely. Like maybe once we take down Cole we basically break Praetoria's last line of defense and have to stop Hamidon ourselves. For bittersweet ending: despite our best efforts, Hamidon still ends up killing enough of Praetoria that humanity is doomed there with no hope of recovery.
For less ambiguity, Cole has become so obsessed with destroying us, he's completely neglected his duty to keep Hamidon at bay, so we need to defeat Hamidon while Cole harasses the trial groups.
Another possibility is that Tyrant tries to take on to much power from the Well and is destroyed by it, and we then have to fight an avatar of the Well.
Or there's even the chance that Tyrant could sacrifice himself to destroy the Hamidon, and actually do something right. -
This could be the Tyrant Trial - or the Hamidon Trial - or both in one Trial

Quote:Someons that'd suit that mechanic would be Diabolique - instead of running all over the place, she just retreats inside one of her bubbles, and summons a EB spirit as a guardian. This is close to what we have in the game, think winter realm. So it wouldn't be much of a hassle for you guys to implement in more missions.
I'd say have the 'Guardian EB' come at 75, 50 and 25% HP. While the 'Guardian EB' is in play, the 'Target EB' is intangible till the 'Guardian EB' is down.
