My main is a Kat/DA/BM. It made sense when I read about all the powers way back when but less and less as I went on. Were it a new toon I'd have given up long ago but he's my first and my main. He made the move over from the US servers a long time ago and has some nice older badges so I keep him and want to keep him up to date.
I have a feeling from having a look through the boards and just looking at other's powers in game and see some chat about IOs and stuff that this is perhaps not a very good build. I've been okay with that, it's done me well over the years but I'm looking to sort it out now.
So thank you kindly in advance for any suggestions and advice and for not laughing too muchÂ….
- Please ignore all slot placing. This was from a 50 respec and plainly isn't designed for lower level stuff. I should I suppose fix that for Ouroboros and older TFs but that's really not a priority for me now. Looking for a strong 50 and I'll play all the the lower stuff with the growing army of alts.
- I want to survive. I do pretty well on this build. I've run STF without dying, I can do a full MSR without dying (I don't know if this is normal - it didn't use to be!). I can tank reasonably well (and the dark heal certainly doesn't hurt). The IO sets were mainly picked for regen bonus. Soft caps and working things like that just hurt my head (though if anyone had a handy guide link that would be appreciated too) I'm much more likely to look at an IO set and think "oh cool if I slot 4 I get x and y and z that's what I want" at no point will I even think about working out if I'm not getting the benefit of the IOs themselves.
- I don't like SJ. I hate the jumping powers and so I skip the pool on every toon. I suppose I could take the set to get CJ and Acrobatics - KB protection would be quite nice but it feels a bit wrong. I would like to keep SS and Fly just because I like them.
- I've just done a respec to make fitness inherent and that's left me with at least an extra power choice - my attacks cycle fast enough that I don't need another. Ignore the heal other, that was really just to fill a slot and was a bit silly. That's why some things here may look even more off.
- I don't use Kick at all, having to watch the katana being drawn again annoys me A LOT. Just looking around though, is it worth slotting it (and I've seen brawl slotted in a build or two) just to get more sets in.
- I picked BM for conserve power. End was always a big issue but it's less and less now. I like Laser eyes and having a ranged attack is nice for that final runner. I put PP in with this respec, I suspect I'm overdoing it and I'm not attacked to having this as my Epic.
- The standard back when was to triple slot health and stamina, is that also overdoing it?
- I use to run this on unyielding, what should I be aiming to run at now? +3 should be fine, ideally I'd like extra enemies for more drops along the way.
- I have a fair amount of cash. I can probably throw 500 million into fixing this and I have some respecs available, I understand I also have a second and third build available and I really like the idea of testing stuff in there but not to kit out multiple builds, at least not just yet.
- If you want more comedy I'll post my Emp Def build over in the right forum sometime soon.
- Last but my no means least, what's my best Incarnate option?
