  1. Seeing as how EU players can't post on US forums and vice versa, I figured I'd start a new thread for my art here as well. I will post updates on works in progress and completed pieces as regularly as I can! And if you have any questions at any time, please don't hesitate to ask

This is the most recent piece I'm working on for Countess Ivy of CoV. It will be in full color at the end, but for now here is the completed pencil stage:

would we have to be 18+ to access that one??

[/ QUOTE ]Legally, maybe, but you know how thing work on the internet...

    [/ QUOTE ]

^^ Exactly. That's the main reason I wanted to make another expansion site. I've received several requests for more mature artwork but I do not want it to be featured in the general gallery where viewers of all ages can see it. There will be some sort of disclaimer on the Uncut site to let all visitors know what kind of content is there and who it is appropriate for.

Thanks again for all the comments

If you like that one then you are going to love mmoartuncut.com. It's due to launch in August. Along with mmoarttoons.com and mmoartguilds.com.

This'll save me shooting off loads of e-mails to you guys. Welcome to the forums! I'll be commissioning a piece when the revamped site goes live again, and I was wondering, what's the general process of drawing the pictures?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Fire_Guardian that sounds great and I look forward to working with you!

The first step of the drawing process is the rough sketch. This is to map out what either the client or I have in mind for the character pose, overall composition, and background if there is one. After the client approves that I do the complete pencil piece. From there the piece is inked. I then scan it into Photoshop or Painter and add the colors.

The process for a digital painting is a bit different though. There is still a rough sketch that turns into the completed pencil, but the image is not inked. The completed pencil is scanned in, and all of the details are added by using values and colors just like real painting on canvas. This method is a bit more complicated as you dont have solid ink lines to establish everything.

I hope that gives you a better idea of the process, and if there is anything you would like me to elaborate on, I would be more than happy to

Frazzle_d, I will do my best, but only if you call me Gill not Bill.
