  1. Hidden would be my preference considering the low numbers of droppers we had at the last raid.
  2. Personally I've found the Tenebrous Tentacles + Dark Pit combo a great way of mitigating damage on teams but my primary is Forcefield so I can afford to devote the required number of slots to make Dark Pit worthwhile.

I thought that the whole idea of RV was to battle for the zone and to defeat set AV's or Heroes. How wrong I was.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I was there that day on my tanker and quite enjoyed your attacks - I thought it added an extra fun element. If I'd known you were getting hostile tells I'd have logged out there and then. RV is for PvP and people who enter the zone just for AVs need to accept that the other side is well within their rights to make it difficult for them. I've only helped people with the AVs one other time apart from that and that time it fell apart due to the high number of villains who came into the zone to "spoil" the AV hunt. Personally, I enjoyed the struggle against the villains and stayed around for a while afterwards to see how long my tank could stay upright against the mass of villains. I doubt I'll ever take part in another AV hunt in RV - I don't like teaming with people who spout abuse at the other side when they spoil their plans by not following made up rules of conduct.
  4. According to Nofuture Ripper is a 90 degree cone compared to Golden Dragonfly's 20 degree. I've never used Golden Dragonfly but Shatter from the War Mace set in tankers is 20 degrees too and I know from playing experience that it's a lot easier to hit multiple foes with Ripper than it is with Shatter.

Edited to add: Ripper's animation is why I love playing my Spines scrapper so much - great, fun power.
  5. I'm sorry to see you go Teaming with you was never a dull experience (I regret I didn't team with you more) and I've always enjoyed chatting with you If you ever do come back to us be sure and give me a shout over global.
  6. Could you add Splortch (Spines/Invulnerability/Body Mastery scrapper) when you get a chance? Cheers

PA coverage wasnt all that great in the beginning and clearers rushed to the goo before I said anything about consolidating the Hami aggro . Next time we could be bit more patient maybe?

    [/ QUOTE ]

A little more patience and co-ordination at the start would have been good. Also, calling for PA's to be moved to a specific location isn't likely to see positive results: there are generally only about 4 to 6 points where we can land them at the beginning of the raid and if the required location isn't one of the places we can land them then someone is going to be out of luck Like I said on broadcast last night: moving people to where the PAs are is a lot easier then trying to move PAs to where the people are.

Apart from the hairy start it was a good raid though. Nice work from everyone involved.

There was definitely no GM invasion btw. One came down well after Hami popped but it was being led by the only person on broadcast calling for some GM action. The second GM was pretty much still sitting on the hillside minding its own business when it was attacked.
  8. I wouldn't mind joining with Greased Monkey, my lvl 25 (possibly 26 by then), FF/Dark defender if you have room.

    Generalissimo, are you in?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I've never missed a raid it was possible for me to attend and I don't intend to start now I don't know what time I'll be turning up though; it might be just before the start or it might be the full hour beforehand.
  10. We didn't used to have one but then a raid failed because of a monster entering the jelly during the holding phase and killing the tank team. The holders died and Hami spawned his mitos, ending the raid. Some raids since then have had a GM team, some have not. There's no doubt that it can be useful to have a GM team, however it's the one element whose presence isn't required in terms of actually getting a raid off the ground on the night.

What do you suggest taking aid other or stimulant so that I can get aid self?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Stimulant. It doesn't need any extra slotting to be useful and it's something you can apply before a fight and not need to worry about whereas if you take Aid Other you might feel compelled to use it mid-battle and end up dragging all your aggroed mobs down on top of your hurt team mate (against foes that use AoE's a lot this would be bad).
  12. I've an ill/FF that I've soloed up to 32 so far. I'm sure other secondaries would have it easier some or even most of the time (my ill/kin soloed easier because of his heal and buffs/debuffs) but FF does have its uses in a solo situation. Force bolt is a great way of keeping that third minion out of melee while you're holding and deceiving his friends. PFF is a handy panic button to have and has saved my guy's life a few times. Dispersion bubble was a godsend against the Tsoo with their disorienting minions and against other mezzers too. Deflection and insulation shield become useful once you get to 32 and Phantasm. The set has some holes like no protection against sleep and no self heal but it's easy enough to work around those through inspiration use and use of PFF when things get really bad. All in all it's a very soloable build in my opinion. However, if asked to choose between soloing my ill/ff or my ill/kin to 50 from lvl 1 again I would pick my ill/kin without hesitation - I just had more fun with the /kin powers than I do with the /ff powers (and this is coming from someone who loves playing his team-only FF defender).
  13. Unless they've changed things recently deceiving a DE eminator only stops it buffing the DE, it doesn't make it buff you.
  14. I think it's excellent, especially for when the controller has to solo - deceive one, hold the second, defeat the third. Since they've shortened the animation of the power my opinion of it has only improved.

    Hamidon Raid

You have to be lvl 45 or higher to get into the Hive.
  16. I would have liked to take part in this but I won't be back in front of my computer until the Sunday of the double xp weekend. Best of luck with the marathon

Gen "floating somewhere in the Caribbean" 2
  17. I wish I could help with the PA dropping but I'm out of the country for the next three weeks Best of luck with the raid

I am skipping ... (the one with a very long recharge but targets only one person) Clear Mind?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Adrenaline Boost possibly?
  19. My ill/kin has hasten but others in the PA dropping team don't and we generally find that it's at the 3 speed boost point that we're perma. I suppose you could say 4 for safety. There are no siphon speeds at work - the kins in the PA drop team are too far above anything to siphon them and we wouldn't want to draw aggro anyway.
  20. During Hami raids 3 speed boosts is enough for perma PA so you'll be fine.
  21. What mix of primaries did you end up with?
