Okay Pyro, I admit, you need this way more than I do. My laptop was pretty much top of the line as far as laptops go when I got it and it's still at least lower end of middle ground overall. You my freind have a dinosaur that should have gone extinct years ago. I call it divine intervention from the gaming gods that gave your PC the boot. I may not have a top of the line machine but I can run things like Oblivion and Half Life 2 without very many hiccups. ChristopherRobin, you are to give this forumite the gaming machine of all gaming machines. If you don't I will eat you.
P.S. CR, I'm moving locations in January to a studio apartment/dorm room at my new college and wanted to discuss some things about my new place and what it will mean as far as new output ports, stands and locking mechanisms. Anyone else is welcome to chime in as well. -
Lemme see if I can get some photos for Modern Hoplite.
Basically, I imagined them fighting baddies and potentially protecting relics and/or artifacts in the Parthenon. A famous ruin in Athens.
They could be protecting things such as a bust of
Pericles
Or great ancient items of power, like the golden fleece
I am a myth geek, I can't help it. -
Oooooooooooo, I am envious. Why can't college kids make money instead of losing it to school?
-
They don't work CR. The pictures don't work. Fix it or I put you in the spam eating part of my game show.

Quote:Wouldn't you prefer some Snozzberries?I think I've seen 3 or 4 Buffys total, and never from start to finish. Same goes for Charmed. I am just NOT a vampire lover... so you can Imagine how I feel about Anne Rice, True Blood and Twilight. All wasted on me...
I would like a 1080p screen, in fact I would like 2 or 3... and some razzleberry dressing. -

Oh Oathy, have you been a good and dirty boy? :P

It's not Liefeld's muscles that I have the biggest problem with. The thing that really irritates me is the large amount of guns and pouches in everything he draws. But the biggest irritator is what he does to the eyes. In everything of his I've seen they're either closed/missing, have no irises, or have just white when they really have no need to. It even seemed to rub off on his imitators, giving way to what I call Young Blood's Disease (thank you to thatguywiththeglasses' Linkara for the ability to name/steal the name of this).

Feel free to take some liberties with this one as I'm not sure of the quality of his latest costume. (I also give you three to choose from, Classical, Secret Identity, and main hero outfit)
Modern Hoplite is a hero originally from Ancient Greece. However he's been raised in today's time period since he was three, when he was saved from death on the street by a wealthy time traveler. He's a young hero, probably mid-late 20s, who fights with a sword. Being young he is slightly inexperienced with real world scenarios but he is booksmart and overall relaxed with a hint of spoiled rich kid.
He's always been interested in his roots in Greece so you could have him and Gray Huntress fighting baddies in the ruins of the Parthenon or protecting an artifact/civilians somewhere in Greece. Though since he is rich he can appear in other locales. -
There is if you look just to the right of insanity and behind my left ear lobe.

You should hear her talk to me. By the way she has plans for her return, be excited or terrified your pick.

Everyone break out the champagne and fry the good bacon, EnnVee has terrific news!
I just got off the phone with her and she is going in to the second interview for the home healthcare place she applied to work at. This practically means that she has that new job set in stone. Her schooling from several years ago can finally be put to use and she can finally work in the medical feild like she wanted to. Plus after three months her job will give her full benefits, medical, dental, and eye care. But what's most important about this, do the math. Two people working = more money coming in daily = EnnVee and Barron get back here sooner!!!!
So everyone celebrate for EnnVee and let's all say Frabjous day Caloo Calay. -
You do this much to build custom PC's, I have new respect for you and I can't wait to see the finished product. I want, no, need you to build me a PC when I get the money.
Ah, that's too long to wait.
<.<
>.>
*throws smoke bomb down*
*knocks out CR with drugged bacon and kidnaps him to build a PC* -
I always wanted to see how this process worked, (and partake in it eventually). Maybe this will give me an idea of how working with CR is when it finally comes time that I have the funds to afford a gaming rig, he is my first choice for a builder now. I look forward to the updates.

Hi people,
I've wanted to start a kind of contest for some time now but I have been unable to create any kind of prize. I fially ecide to hell with prizes and let's do this just for fun. I want to see what you people can do when given another player's character. This plays out sort of like an open to all version of Bubbawheat's Picture This. I'm going to give you a character of mine and I want to see what you can think up.
Remember this is not a contest, this is all purely for fun. Now without further ado I give you; Modern Hoplite.
Bio: Hephastion was born a street urchin in the streets of Athens following the Pellopponesian War. He seemed destined to die in the streets before the age of five but then something remarkable happened. A wealthy time traveler from the modern day by the name of Vladimir Salazar felt pity on the boy and decided to adopt him as his own son when Hephastion was three. He took him to the modern age and the two lived a happy life together. Hephastion lived as his loving son and even changed his name to Nikolai Salazar. However he was always interested int the warriors from the grecian life he left behind. This combined with his sights of crime and suffering in the modern world, led him to train himself from the age of ten in the arts of swordplay, combat, acrobatics, and crime solving. At the age of 24 after graduating from college, Nikolai began a double life, continuing to work in his father's scientific research institute while also fighting crime as the superhero, Modern Hoplite. (It was easier to explain once I'm sure of it).
So, he's a BS/WP scrapper, Here's the two decent costumes I have so far.
Let me see what you can create for Modern Hoplite. Street clothes, special tactics, or even a just plain new look. I will open this thread to whoever wants their toon on display when there is a demand for a new one.
Okay let's make it happen cap'n. -
Turkey Lurkey's safe from my wrath, I love ham instead. Happy Thanksgiving U.S. peoples, from me and the person who speaks through me.

I am thankful actually for how this game changed my life, (note this is basically a repost of something I posted in the art forums about a month ago).
A year ago through playing this game I met the player EnnVee. Through her natural kind nature she has helped me to turn my life around for the better and help to lift my life to heights that they have never been before. She has become a confidant and her and the rest of the SG that we share has become a truly wonderrful thing in my life. They have helped me overcome many obstacles, in particular coming to terms with my homosexuality and various other personal problems. I am incredibly thankful for all the help I ahve recieved through this gaming community and the kind hearted people that inhabit it. If you have someone in your life that you know through any medium that is struggling, or if you've had someone help you like I have in a mentor like fashion, help them out and show them how much they matter.
Happy Thanksgiving to all U.S. gamers and Season's Wishes to all other CoX players. -
Who's a wittle destructive scamp? Who's a wittle demonspawn? You are, yes you are.

The chinchilla mafia did it to get ahold of your of your stash of bacon and power their anti fun machine with the tears of baconless people.

Damn, that is some sweet remodeling. I wish I had that artistic flair you have for bases Oathy. Heck, I wish I had the artistic abilities of any of the people on this forum.
I'm just stunned, that is a beautiful room. -
Bye Tuter, I'm really sorry to see you go but I know how college life is (I'm moving to that lifestyle myself soon). You've been a great contributor to these forums and I wish you the best of luck in whatever you are going to college for. Hopefully you can come back before too long.

New toys are fun. No problems on postponing it man, maybe it will give some freinds of mine enough time to come back for this one.
P.S. I'm really jealous that you can get a new rig. I am stuck in laptop college limbo for the next few years. -
Yes, what is up with little miss Cashoo? I'm starved for something to gossip about with EnnVee offline.
