Quote:What is fun about Energy aura brutes in PVP zones is getting angry tells about how overpowered your stalker is lol.My Brute is Nrg/Nrg and he's a total BA! (against single targets). If you get flooded w/ toons (IE AE Farms) then you'll die 1,000 horrible deaths. But against a normal sized mob, you attack the boss or elite boss or Hero first, and ignore the others pretty much.
Energy Melee is TOTALLY AWESOME! I have all of my sets slotted w/ KnockBack and fling them around like rag dolls. Single targets go down FAST.
I don't PVP much at all. In fact I hate it. But this toon is the only one I go into PVP zones safely with. He's a beast. Often heroes are like, "Why can't I hit you?" and I'm all "Stun Stun Stun Knockback" and lol'ing. It honestly takes 2+ Heroes to take me down, and 1vs1 he's just wrong.
PS- What are the changes you're talking about? I cannot find them.
Tourettes. -
FF/Sonic Resonance may need more diversified tweaks like other sets are able to do (eg -Reg and -Dmg) but other than that they are fine.

210 PP sounds fair to me as compensation.

NO no no...I just put my shoes on to go wash my car windows.

Quote:Other MMOs do it too.Why do you keep clinging to WoW as an example of what this game should do? It's almost like asking your local mom and pop hardware store to live up to the same policies a huge store like Home Depot can afford.
I've already said I could easily see them giving us some PP as a means to apologize. I just think this idea that the company could or should cough up real money for this is overreaching on your part by leaps and bounds. -
Yes! Be nice Paragon and NCSOFT.
-
It is the norm in the MMO industry to credit for very long down time.

Quote:It has been hinted that it is being looked at.I know the crash nukes are being looked into, but is there any chance of looking into ranged knockback and making it knockdown so its more team friendly? Sets like energy blast, the new dark set with its cone attack that always knocksback pretty much just drive melee insane.
Rejoice AR and Energy users! -

Quick someone do the napkin math!
-
Exactly...pumice we love you for the hard work you do!

Quote:Napkin math suggests it is more than a buck.I'm actually curious, if they're this upset over a dollar, what do they do when something that's actually bad happens? And don't forget, if they buy more then a month at a time, or use certain time cards, it's even less then a dollar.
100 PP compensation please. -
Beam Rifle definitely was a lost opportunity to showcase it for potential customers. Pumice is very soft in real life and is porous...not intimidating but I suspended my belief for a second before I keeled over in laughter.

Why would anyone be against 100 PP as compensation for the downtime? Our friends EU/Atlantic would appreciate this simple gesture no?

Quote:I agree.30+ hours all down to maintance, and emergency maintance, all scheduled in my prime play hours. I'd like that time that I've paid for that was denied due to Paragon's snafu, credited to my account. What is wrong with that?
Who said I'm upset, I'd just like to see that Paragon has any form of loyality to their subscribers. If boohiss Activ-Blizzard can do it, surely Paragon who aren't apparantly all evil scumbags, who feast on the tears of the frustrated, can do it to?
I am not nerd raging but compensation seems reasonable. -
Quote:Service is service. You're dealing in physical goods. This is an electronic service.
And if your bosses want to give away their product, that's cool. It's up to them. Willing to bet they're dealing with relatively low-value items (i.e. they're not a Ferrari dealership).
You don't have a leg to stand on. You could continue to fight like the armless and legless black knight if you wish! -

- For the people that mention the server list merge, that was a HUGE positive for the EU players as a whole. A large majority of us have made more friends and speaking on behalf of union, the server population did increase.
- For mentioning those costume competitions at early hours. Since there was only 3 costume competitions, either the EU or the NA would have to lose out on one and so i aint fussed that EU only got "1" costume competition in our primetime. Costume competition is a costume competition.
- For the posters telling EU players complaining to stop, no. As is said in many threads, we pay our subscription just the same as you and if we feel that we are being short changed in any shape or form then as a paying customer we have every right to voice our concerns/complaints.
- For the posters saying EU should just accept it, no. A lot of the posters who are telling the EU to be quiet are quite well respected people on these forums and i am quite shocked and dissapointed in those players who usually seem quite sensible. Yes we do complain a lot but we are a large portion of the community.
- In regard to people saying [including myself] that for once we'ld like to see NA downtime, there is a genuine reason for this. Its not something as petty as "punish" them and not us, no. The reason is we'ld like to proove to you doubters that these forums would explode [if they let you log in] from the NA players ranting about their playtime being gone. I do remember the one time not so long ago servers were down for you players and there WAS a lot of multiple threads full of rage and "omg!??!".
- Is it overreacting people asking for a days worth of free time added to their account? Not in the slightest. Asking for the money back would be childish, asking for the amount of lost time the EU has lost in the last few weeks is acceptable by a lot of paying customers.
- Finally a small story. My younger brother and friend both started playing this game about 2 weeks before i21. Both have quit now, their reason? They loved the game but didnt want to pay to play a game which is mostly down during their playtime.
Tuesday 20th sept: 3 hours downtime
Saturday 17th sept: 4 hours downtime
Thursday 15th sept: 4 hours downtime
Wednesday 14th sept: 2 hours downtime
Tuesday 13th sept: 12+ hours downtime [i21 we'll forgive!]
So since i21 launch there has been [note that they are the scheduled downtime, there was infact a lot more] 30+ hours downtime nearly all during EU primetime.
Well done sir. -

Having worked, directly and indirectly, with customers over the years, I can tell you that's a flat out lie at best. It's simply a platitude offered when making an attempt to retain business. At some point, the merchant STILL has to put a foot down and make a decision between retaining a possibly impossible customer and letting that person go and focusing on other customers who are easier to satisfy.
It is not a lie as it is the policy of the company I work for.
