It's definately build for large scale battles rather then small teams where heavies can easily tip the balance. Which is quite often the case (least the times when I've visited). That's when heavies are a thorn in your side. (yes that is a minor personal grief i have with them sometimes, especially if i have a good fight going and one shows up to splash me in a heartbeat )

Killing farmers isn't exactly why you go to the zone either, is it? Fighting someone that's not there to fight you isn't exactly fun (for long). I have no issue with farmers except if they start to complain about getting interrupted in what they are doing. Thing is you should be able to go there and expect others to be there for the same reason - to PvP. Heavies ruin that concept by making farming v. easy/risk free and lucrative (well they are the means to it, anyways). I say risk free cuz there's no harm from getting killed by another player while your heavy is off fighting a turret.

Those are just my opinions and I think the opinions will continue to be split about such issues. Least we aren't all like minded, how dull it would be

Well lets see. They are quite obviously being used for farming , hardly what was the intended purpose of heavies. Same with Dreck which got a timer put on it...pretty sure you can all figure out where I am going with this

I was a tad late but was tied up at the start. Felt good to be bad and kudos to the heroes that were there to try and fend us off. Hopefully next time more will show up on both sides, for more chaos and destruction

I can sympathise with your experience Blind_Minotaur. I was a tad bored one day on CoV and thus looked at my global to see if I could team with anyone. Noticed that a fair few of my global friends were on heroes in RV and decided I'd go spoil their day being the rotten villain that I am. I went there and was stunned by the numbers of heroes there, at which point it occured to me that they were after the Arch Villains. I decided those filthy heroes weren't gonna get away with it without a fight so I helped my fellow villains. Only to be met with verbal hostility unlike anything I had ever experienced before. Little was said in broadcast but a whole lot was said in tells, which i ignored and didn't respond to but they did their job at making me angry and upset. This was a planned event on these forums as I found out during my time there and I guess as such I should have bowed down and exited the zone.

I thought that the whole idea of RV was to battle for the zone and to defeat set AV's or Heroes. How wrong I was.

I know this post may contradict my previous one but I see this as a whole different setup as to regular pvp. You could argue that it shouldn't be the case etc. but I won't go into that. Plus it happened a long time ago.

I dislike heavies too for quite a few reasons but I won't go into details. Just know that you aren't alone

As the other I was trying to reply to this as well but without succes. For me the whole Archery bit doesn't seem to fit a villain, but that's probably just me. Another thing is that I like that each side has some unique powers to them. Heroes have storm/archery etc. while villains have plant/thermal etc.

Well so far have the FFG and like it. It's nice to have mez protection, although sleeps seems to be able to still effect ya. Cool thing about it is that it's a clicky so even if you do get slept it still gives defense protection

I believe the attitude is fine. There's just a few that try and spoil the fun on broadcast and then there's some out there with personal grudges toward each others that like to spout it for all to see. Granted this is based on very little pvp zone activities from my part in a while.

As far as no broadcast, I disagree. The villains should taunt the heroes and the heroes should retort that they are here to set things right etc. Clearly there's a fine line between that and a direct insult, which can lead to problems unfortunately. No communication between either party, I don't think that'd be good in this type of MMO.

I did see Static a week or 2 ago when in sirens with Gani but as i was hoping after ya just to say booH! it seems you had your fair share for the night and left since I didn't see you again.

You two dabble on villains? if so what names should i keep an eye out for. Would be fun teaming again. CoH kinda got dull for me a while back and the rogue isles are my new home.

That's cool Marq, we can share experiences with our different setups. I was thinking of getting the sleep from sonic and use it as a setup for getting time bomb setup and possible getting shockwave too for the knockback. It's gonna be a learning experience what works best for me but input is always great Currently though I'm only at lvl 7 and I'm not an overly fast leveler but will try and keep an update going.

Leveling a sonic/traps corrupter and since I have no hands on experience with traps i was wondering if there is anyone out there willing to share some of their traps knowledge with me?

I'm particular interested in knowning what trap powers are a must have and which aren't. Hope someone has some good advice

Try asking serophina(Kandy Kane) for advice in the SG channel, Nasty. He has one and I'm sure he'd be willing to give you a heads up on whats good and whats not so good if you have any more questions.
