I got one last night from someone who wanted to duel me (after I already [censored] him 3-4 times) in Warburg. He says when I land we start so I target him as I'm flying to the spot. I get there, drop team, do one of those nifty flier landings, and throw him off the building, dive after him, and tap him after he lands.

He's not sure what just happened, but I /b "Flawless Victory"

That got some laughs and a few Babality jokes.

  9. Just a quick FYI, I haven't found EVERYTHING that will do this, but I am finding quite a good deal of them.

    Placing Items inside of Items
Take Item A, place it inside Item B. The boundaries are gone on most base items so we can stack them inside of others very easily.

Stacking Items on top of others
So far I have only worked with Tech items, but I have found that using the Floor Safe item will make a very nice stacking setup for most projects. They stack nicely on top of eachother and will allow for other items to float.
Another interesting little tid-bit is that they can flot off of themselves. Just take the safe, place it, and then move it on top of itself. It sounds crazy, but it works. It's a great way to make the floor/ceiling of your second story too.

    Stacking Items from the Ceiling
A full guide can be found here: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showflat....=0#Post12738207
But the skinny of it all is that you can take the Hanging Lamps and send them from the ceiling down. This will get all of the ceiling items to be placed anywhere you want. They don't even need the full scale to get them there, just a little bit that your mouse points at.

Stacking Wall Items int he Middle of Rooms
This one had me stumped for a while and I finally had to ask for help last night (thanks LtZerge). Alright, what you do is buy a Cubicle. Set the edge where you want your floating item and set it on the Cubicle's walls. It's that easy. Move the Cubicle and there it is, a floating light / vent / turbine. It's a nifty little trick that I must have tried a hundred things to get it to happen with. You can also mark items off of other items that are wall sets, but the Cubicles are easiest.

So there you go, all of the basic tools you need to make your base go 3 dimensional.
  10. If you can get a Hidden Plot (12x12) for 312,500 Prestige Then you will have enough room for everythign you need.

    Plot Upgrade 312500
    Teleport 500000
    Teleport Pads 150000
    Control 100000
    Control Item 50000
    Energy 100000
    Generator 200000
    Workshop 100000
    2 Enhancement Tables 190000
    1 Salvage Rack 15000
    1 Inspiration Collec. 75000
    1 Storage Vault 100000
    1 Invention Table 25000
    ------------------------------
    TOTAL 1,917,500 Prestige

I've used this setup MANY times and it usually sets up for a very functional SG base. With his setup you will have a lot of room to spare so you can get the slightly better workshops if you like.

    Five.

I had a scriptwriting class in college for some reason and we had to write a 10 minute short. Mine was the first few scenes of Starfighter 2. It was really cool because it was set in real time off of the show and the little brother was all grown up and his big brother comes back all battle scared and badass. Short story, little brother teams up with big brother and they take out the Kohdan Armada once and for all ;p

Okay, Ltn_Frost, I have two questions here.

First off, how the heck did you do the 'pillows' on that bed. I've pretty much figured out how you did the rest - although I'm still scratching my head over the footrail posts.

Second, you have a 'handle' on the shower door. I've seen that on a few refridgirators. How the heck do you get that in there. I've searched through everything, and have yet to come across anything remotely like that that I feel I could use.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Looks like the pillows are chairs.

The shower doors are the cords in the Tech section. Smallest cords.
  17. Took me a while to steal the Trophy Room myself. Looks very nice now though. I have them lining my walls all over the place.
  18. Wow Meribelle, that's awesome. I like that yours is not only an actual safe, but you also have the little safety deposit boxes in there.

    My suggestion:
Make that section a 2down 2up area so you don't have to make a celing. Since it's in the corner you will only have to line the one wall and the door to make it a safe. You can also stick the Salvage storage at the end to make it so there are the safe deposit boxes with the BIG safe deposit at the end.

    just a suggestion though.
  19. I can also be of help. I've learned most of the tricks out there and can design most of what you are wanting.

Reach me at @Endal. I play Freedom but can move if you need me elsewhere.
  20. After being inspired by The Chosen's safe there, I went ahead and crafted one of my own. I wanted to incorporate as much as I could into the room so I have the safe, the invention table, and a enhancement table right next to eachother, while still keeping it on that nice look. I may even put a forklift up on that platform if I get bored ;p

    Safe - View 1
    Safe - View 2
    Safe - View 3

I also got a bit bored and did a Forklift

no but there are myths about them.

like falling from the sky during stormy weather and dying when the grass grows in spring.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Well that's obviously true. I mean where else would they come from? They angered the stork so it's not like he's gonna' bring them en-masse. So they are just put into one of those T-Shirt launchers and fired out into the storm.
  23. Zerge, we need to get you an in game title for best base decorator or something. That's just awesome.
