If you don't buy GR, then you can not do the Praetoria content, nor can you do the side switching. You will still be able to do all the stuff the is released for Issue 18. So yes, this is very similar to when CoV was released and you would not have access to bases unless you bought it.

It took them almost three weeks to fix all the bugs they released with it. Everything from mission bugs, to Globals problems to animation problems, to market problems, etc. . . On top of that was the ENORMOUS lag in every zone. I actually thought that the lag might have been my own issues with my ISP at first, but everyone I talked to AND a lot of people on the various global channels I am a member of complained about the lag. Worst part was, it didn't matter how many people were on the server either. All in all, Issue 17 was probably one of the worst, if not THE worst Issue release I have seen to date. It simply wasn't ready.

It says EXCEPT for weekends in the announcement. Don't feel bad, I missed it the first time I read it too.

Based on your date for joining the forums I see you have been around for a little while, so let me just ask you this - Would you rather have something released before it was ready or would you rather the Dev's listen to the beta testers and pull it to work on it some more? I personally have seen many Issues released before they were ready and the beating my fun takes due to that is pretty bad. I actually have come pretty close to quitting the game for this very reason on at least three occasions now (Issue 17 being the most recent). I do agree that it is disappointing AND they never should have announced it in the first place unless it was already a done deal. On the other hand, I also think they did the right thing by pulling it and applaud them for it.

Sorry to argue a joke here, but a constipated person does not need fiber. That would only make the situation worse. Prunes would help relieve the situation though, as would a LOT of blue berries.

I'm a little mystified by your post here, so I will try to answer your statements and NOT try to figure out your point.

New players and liking the Vet system you answered yourself so I won't go any farther except to say that I have not found ANY new players that do not like the Vet system. I have talked to some that do not like the costume aspects of it, but love the overall idea.

Do I believe someone will quit immediately over wings at XX months because they don't want to wait? Uhm . . . no. That is silly to even suggest. See my previous paragraph for a fuller explanation.

Will the Vet system bring in new players? What? It was never even intended for that. It is intended to keep people like me happy who have spent $15 a month for 12 months a year for 6 years (total of $1080.00 or there abouts). It gives us more goals other than tricking out ANOTHER toon.

No problem. Too be honest I caught her "good bye address" only after she left and completely on accident. Seems she found a "better opportunity" somewheres else. No idea where though.

You can't PM her anymore because she doesn't work there anymore. As for a GR kit, I highly doubt that would come out before the release of the game itself. To be honest, I wouldn't expect to see it for at least six months after release at the earliest, if even then.

My guess is yes on this one since it is the only way to get a jet pack that I know of (other than the in-game one's you can buy). All in all not worth the trouble of a post on ZAM'a website for me, but some people will like it, so good for them.

Actually, I'll be suprised if they don't. I would bet on just that announcement coming either Thursday or Friday. That way people stew over it all weekend.

I can see your point, but really, how many people start this game intending to play for the next 5 years? Only a small portion even do stay that long and as a Vet, while I do agree that the Veteran System is a good idea, I also feel putting costume parts/art into it was a bad idea. The other powers and such (as I stated above) are probably the best way to go in my opinion.
