I just want to know if it is now safe to add things to and remove things from my racks and bins without my base going POOF again.

Bane's mace and Shield's... shields, and some other toggled powers have been blocking emotes for a couple issues now.
To address a previous post regarding the fix and how we shouldn't worry as long as we hurry and do our coat and cape thing...
Remember the bug that flipped skirts around 90 degrees? Remember the more recent bug that stretched out our toons?
If some new coding abomination alters our characters' coat-cape outfits, we're either stuck with those stretched out characters with their skirts on sideways or we decide to lose the coat-cape look we had while trying to get our toons' other clothes back to normal.
That's why some of us want to keep the option available to have both details useable.
It seems that, in the past, the devs have decided it's easier on them to disable features which they'd otherwise get complaints about from people who didn't like what they saw.
A friend of mine used to work at an independent quality control company that had an account with an electronic toy company. There was a talking doll that originally had an "easter egg" which made the doll say "I love you, Mommy!" if the owner hugged it long enough to get the heat sensor to a certain temperature inside the doll... which triggered the audio cue.
Apparently someone's father complained as he felt the doll shouldn't be biased toward Mommy and not have a chance to equally say "I love you Daddy." My friend's job was to test every one of the new program chips to make sure that the doll had no such references.
You can't blame a company for trying to save itself some headaches at the loss of what some consider to be a cool thing. Having said that said, I hope it isn't too late for me to use that fringe idea for some of my characters! The others will get a scarf.

I'm getting tired of these $10 costume packs.

I remember reading an interview with an executive (perhaps the president) of NCSoft regarding the total aquisition of the City Of franchise. The fact was brought up that some games released overseas to which that executive was associated had purchaseable items. I'm paraphrasing loosely! Does someone have a link to that article please?
When the executive was asked if he planned to charge City Of Heroes/City of Villains players for extra in-game goodies, he seemed to indicate that he wasn't leaning toward it at the time, however he'd think about it. The article appeared maybe a week? month? after the official announcement that Cryptic had passed over the game to NCSoft. His words were still fresh in my mind when the Wedding Pack was announced, and I thought, "Oh no! Save us Statesman!! Hello... Statesman? Oh right, wrong deity. Save us, Posi!!!1."
After seeing what other games do, I can "rationalize" NCSoft's willingness to charge for things I don't HAVE to have in order to enjoy the main game. I call it a case of Could Be Worse syndrome when I think about all the games who went as far to charge for things like bug fix patches.
Workaround to costume change theatrics for those on a tight budget:
I've used my Katana, Dual Blade, and Claws characters' twirl-around attacks (which can be used out of combat) as a Diana P. -> W. Woman outfit change since Issue 11. Villains can pull off a POOF effect with a quick click of the Midnighter's visage temp power. Characters with Healing Aura, Fire Sword Circle or Domination's explode effect can kind of get away with this. Don't forget /e alakazamreact Mostly, I just run around a corner or behind a tree and jump out TADA! (Oops! Forgot my pants... brb...) TADA!!!!!
Considering the cash spent to send my friend in Seattle to the Penny Arcade Expo just to get me one of those PPD Hardsuit outfit codes, the cost of a boxed version of the upcoming Magic booster pack (free month included) is quite reasonable to me!
I still want a booster pack with all thiry-three Halloween Trick or Treat Costumes IN ONE PACK! :P -
Arc Name:Attack of the Zombie Catgirls From Planet Glam
Arc ID:11524
Faction:Custom
Creator Global/Forum Name:@shockwave (on the test server)
Difficulty Level:I think it was set to Medium in the last revision
Synopsis:Leader of an intergalactic Funk band needs your help to save Earth from becoming one giant litterbox
Mission 1: Unique map, level range 1-54. Contains Ambush, Boss, Ally.
Estimated Time to Play: It takes my level 50 willpower/fire melee tanker (using SO enhancements) about six minutes on the easiest level
It's short, simple and a bit cheezy for a first attempt. Hopefully the Rave map will be pulled and fixed soon so the ally will be in the front of the map instead of the last room. :P I'd rather have that Carnival of Shadows warehouse map however that is unavailable to us for now.
Someone suggested I make the enemy group a bit more zombie-like, so I removed some of the "glam" but not nearly enough!
I hope you all enjoy it and PLEASE send me constructive feedback via private forum message.
Best regards! -
Yes that's the same guy from BareNaked Ladies, at least that's what everyone is saying. I honestly have no idea what that is.
"If it don't play on my victrola or betamax, I don't wanna know what it is!" -
...unless Posi's team build was the only one he could fit the Pez dispenser into for his power suit. One should never fight solo without Pez!
Hey all, is there a thread somewhere that discusses how our mission text will be implemented? A link would be appreciated!
Please and Thankyou -
No wonder there was only one of each Mutant SO for sale when I was trying to beef up my brute's attacks.
I thought that was a bit odd until I saw this thread. I suppose this is a way to keep that Quartermaster from getting lonely up on that mountain in Sharkshead.
