I swear, three specific fixes would I think put *everyone* in a better mood:
1) Have a "farm" checkbox, if checked (or if the devs think an unchecked mission is really a farm), it gets listed on its OWN tab in AE (or equally workable, you could have a check box in the AE filter to filter out farms or to show ONLY farms.)
2) Make an official FARM broadcast channel. Make farming people use it.
3) Make AE/MA be it's own seprate zone, like the disco place, that you can access from each AE site - that way all broadcast stays within AE, and there's just one AE, not seven.
Edit: by request:
4) Add in an additional difficulty slider that lets you set the spawned for size, in both the regular and AE missions. Farmers don't like having to ask people to pad and people don't like being bothered

This is a fantastic idea. If farms are to exist, then I would love for them to be separate from the good host of other creative constructs.
however, if they were to make AE it's own place, they'd need to have multiple floors of the designer stage.. like seven or eight of them, because as it is right now, one is not enough in some places.
If I don't design my stories in the private room while i'm in Cap Au Diable, i WILL crash -
Actually, yes. I've used several different kinds of saved costume styles for my characters from the regular costume creator.
They just have to match up in...
~Sex (Male, Female, Huge)
~Unlocked Content (Cloaks, costume pieces, etc)
If they don't, it will throw that error at you. -
I can understand the indexing being a problem.
But, then again, the Devs are somewhat working on fixing that by tapering some of the farmable content (Hopefully).
Yes, it's under some pretty intense strain. But a lot of that strain is undue. I mean, as listed above: I published "Full Moon Rising" at midnight on a weekday. Pretty low key time of day, right? The instant that I published it, it got buried under about 30-50 "KILL THE RIKTI" arcs.
The problem isn't that people are making farms, IMO. It's that they're making the SAME farms over and over and over again. Free up that extra space, give it to us to play with. There are those of us who have yet to publish a single farm, and don't want to. We want to create unique stories for others to enjoy -
True, though most of the library is pretty generic to the engine. Mob AI, whether or whether not they run, power sets associated, and everything in between is already stored globally on the server itself, and doesn't really take up more "Space" so to speak being the assets for Circle of Thorns, Council, Longbow, etc, already exist server side
The mission just points them in the right way.
So I'm not sure if it would necessarily take up more space on the server for that. -
I did a calculation a little bit ago.
At 500,000 active subscribers (This is just throwing a number out there), at 100kb per mission, that means that they are using 500 gigabytes of data with all accounts maxed at file size, three missions.
Personal hard drives now adays have more space than that! Three times as much space. Servers on their own would be able to carry much more. I can't fault NC For playing it safe, however. It was smart of them. But I know that they can, by far, have more missions stored on their end per account
I mean, not to be vindictive at all, but if I pull up the mission architect, there are probably over a thousand "Kill the Rikti in the Paragon City map" farms *chuckles*. If all these repeats weren't to exist, that would clean up quite a bit of file space, and allow for much much more custom story arcs to be put on the servers for others to enjoy. -

It's a problem in outdoor and indoor maps alike. You'll tell your ally to run away, or run for the nearest door... and they'll start!
But then what happens?
They stop dead in their tracks and just stand there.
For some missions, I have you meeting with one character three times. It gets confusing when they bug out and you have all three ally's standing around.
A bug? Intentional?

Known bug.

Oh good! Here's hoping for a fix soon! -
Name of the Arc: Full Moon Rising
Morality: Neutral
Brief Synopsis: This is a story arc that I put together as an origin account of some characters that I roll around in role-play from time to time.
The story itself involves the Crey Corporation fooling around in things that it shouldn't fool around in. Pretty standard, right? Though karma comes full circle, and all hell breaks loose.
What did you like about it: To be honest, it's mine. Though i'm extremely proud of it, albeit, there are still some bugs that I have to work out. It's impossible to catch them all.
I put a LOT of effort into the dialogue especially. Every last little bit of mission detailing and ally rescuing has maxed the character limit. It put my writing skills to the test, that's for sure, but I think the end result was very good, at least in the context of what AE Is capable of doing.
If you'd like to give it a run through, I'd love to hear what you think so that I can make it even better for others to enjoy. If you'd rather not play it due to the fact that i'm toting my own arc, I completely understand. I'm not meaning to toot my own horn at all.
If I run across any others, i'll be sure to post them -
Nope! Though that bug can be very aggravating also
