-
DUde, if you see Frozen ROgue on you can always contact me, ok. It would be sad to see another experienced player loose enjoyment in the game!
-
Dude, what's your villain name. I will be creatinbg one tonight, so I can team with you regulary if you want. ALso, seek out me whenever I'm on; i'll always be happy to SK you up. You're great to team with. Seriously!
-
Or you could go for maximum pwnage and take fire. It has a great form of damage mitigation; the ability to wipe out alot of minions very fast
-
Well, I best get creating then...
Awesome dude! Really can't wait for the rest of this! -
I think the PvP effectiveness of corruptors are probably quite build specific
-
Grrrr...
I'm afraid (as you have probs noticed by now) I will be absent tonight. RL stuff. May be on later; If I am I'll see you on there. Have funn guys! -
Beat ya to it D! Didn't now about Illusion Gem though, my apologies.
Go for it Kaya, you'll definetly have fun. I've teamed with inspector Frost and Okton (as well as his ranger Chango Monster) and they are both thourily good guys and players! -
There is an SG for every AT! The controller one is called the union overlords. I believe the men to talk to for an invite would be Inspector Frost and Okton ingame. They are part of the one AT coalition to, so you get to listen to our banter whenever you're on! What a privelage, eh

That CB is gonna get feeled up by aload of policemen?!?!? -
Ack!
Nice job D. I'm worried about little ol' Rogue though! -
The thing about corruptorsis about utilising there secondaries to aid there primary. There are alot of buffs in the sets, so corruptors CAN take a supporting role, bu the key to getting the most out of their high damage and their scourge ability is to focus on debuffing the enemy or buffing oneself. They are going to be great on a team, but for different reasons that defenders or blasters. Although it is probably tempting to play in a style like said heroic ATs. That will probably work, especially with a defender, but I think they were created to have a different strength. I think they should be used like Offenders.
I want my Dark/Storm Corruptor though! -
Yeah ice storm would be good to, but I'm trying to tear myself away from my love of ice! What would anyone else go for and does ANYONE know why it's not in there?!?
-
Ice/Energy here. Would be happy to. I'm in the Precision Ranger to, so can also get you in touch with any combo. I have no stamina, am considering dropping hasten and do a bizarre but effective combo of blastrolling and blapping! Give me a chance to get moe familiar with the blapping partbefore you contact me about that. I Give me a week
I'm level 30 btw. Oh and I'm not taking my nuke!
-
Does anyone else think this would have been brilliant? You'd get some decent damage mitigation (spelling) under ED if you slotted for to-hit debuff. Storm's emphasise towards being offensive would increase that of dark. Tenorburous tenticles will keep stuff in the anchor debuffs. And the high damage of corruptors would make this set awesome for one; much more so than a defender. Anyone know why it was not included?
-
Yeah, empathy is frantic. Always having to watch your teamates health bars. No worries, happy to have helped. Uber buffer eh? Anything with kinetics is good for that, but it will be quite popular. If you're like me and wanna try something different, then go for */sonic. I'll be starting CoV tehn to with a corruptor, so if you want, we can duo and I can give you a hand. I'm not the most expeirenced person on this game, but I'm always happy to help, and I know a few good tricks
-
If that is the case! I think a sonic/* corruptor is on the cards!

Hello, and welcome to the forums.
Well, 'technically' everything can support, ust in different way. It depends what you mean. Brutes Can support by taking it to the enemy and drawing fir from the squishes. Domintators can support by making the enmy unable to attack. Stalkers Can support by taking out key targets, making the battle easiar.Masterminds can support by buffs and debuffs, albeit with a limited range. If you meant it in the terms of buffs and debuffs, then corruptors are the best choice on CoV. Assuming this is what you meant, as buffs/debuffs are the most direct way of supporting, I'll give you some advice on them:
However there primary set is an offensiveone, so in order to play on the strengths of a corrutor you should take some damage dealing powers. The nice thing about the corruptor primary sets is that they all (except fire and assault rifle) carry some form of deuff. As a supporter, the key here would be to slot the offensive attacks you do take for there debuff as well as damage. Rad has a defense debuff, ice has a slow effect, Soinc has a resistance debuff, Dark has an accuracy debuff and energy... well it's not reall a debuff but energy has a chance to knock back giving you time to launchsome abilities. The key with energy is to utalise perma knockback so may not be what you are looking for here. When choosing a primary set for supporting, my advice pick one where the effects compliment the main debuffs in the set, as they will stack, and allow you to be even more potent.
As a supporter, you are going to want to focus on your secondaries. Again it depends what kind of supporting you want to. For all round versatility take traps, it has a VERY mixed bags of tricks to help in different situations. Ice offers alot of slows making your opponets attack you less. I'm sure it does something else well to but I can't remeber at the moment. Thermal has some heals, some nice buffs and some potent debuffs. Its a more limited mixed bag than traps, focusing on a few area of expertise. Rad is debuff crazy but has a good buff in accelerate metabolism. THis is a very good set for enhancing the damage potential of your allies. Kinetics is also good at this, but work better in a combination with your own attacks. However kin is not great for a supporting role as it does not offer much damage mitgation. SOnic, hoever does and is a nice offensive set as it lowers damage resistance around allies and also has plenty of protective buffs. Along with thermal, this is the set i most want to explore, personnaly. Dark is a good one two, with plenty of debuffs to stop your opponetnts hitting you, plus a nice rez. It's a good supporting set.
If you want, feel free to send me a PM on here with the sets that you want to have and I'll draw up a plan of what I would do with the sets.
Take care dude. Hope it goes well! -
Rogue is in and eagar to learn the ways of PvP!
