Quote:Something like that. I don't have the numbers but maybe someone else will pop in with them. Back in the day, Range and Cone were 2 different aspects but apparently they combined them so that any cone power will have it's distance and cone size increased with Range enhancements. So range enhances adds cone to the cone making like a 30 degree like a 45? or what?
At least that's what I was told and I have certainly noticed the difference between 0, 1 and 2 range in Fire Breath. I see more improvement with my 1 or 2 range than I do with adding another Accuracy but YMMV. -
I'm not much a PvPer. I only go to get a fresh batch of Shivan Shards or if I'm completely bored. I only took teleport as a quick escape power and teleport foe just to mess with anyone who decides to mess with me. Quite honestly, I might just go back to Hover / Fly depending how my first couple of runs go. Besides, wouldn't I need teleport foe and teleport before I can even take team teleport? That would require another power that I just don't have room for. But thanks for the suggestion and I love hearing everyone's insight.

Not sure if this will help any, but you can also simply left click on the enhancement and it will go to the market window. If dragging is the issue then this might be an alternative that might stop the crashing for you.

Thanks for all the info, very useful and very helpful.
I didn't know about the combat monitor so I'll have to check that out.
Also, I didn't 6 slot Char because of a couple of reasons. 1 - I don't have endurance issues so I didn't feel the need for extra slots for that & 2 - It's always up when I want it so I didn't feel the need for extra slots for the recharge either.
I still have a couple respecs available so I'll play with this build for a bit and see how it goes. There's some very good insight in this thread so I may just report back yet.
Thanks again everyone. -
Thanks again for the help. Here's what I was able to come up with for my PvE build.
I wasn't quite sure about slotting the patron powers and I refined some of the other powers as well (like removing the damage from all the controls). The only thing I changed for PvP is Hover to Teleport Foe and Fly to Teleport. I left them 1 slotted (Acc & EndRdx respectfully) since I wasn't willing to give up any slots anywhere else. Besides, they're just my "oh crap" powers and I really don't PvP much at all (1% of the time if I'm bored or need Shivan Shards).
At any rate, any further insight would be highly appreciated. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for posting all of that. It certainly helped me to understand enough to come up with the following binds that have resolved my concerns:
BUTTON4 "+up"
CTRL+BUTTON4 "powexec_name Sprint$$powexec_name Hover"
SHIFT+BUTTON4 "+ $$powexec_toggleon Sprint$$powexec_toggleon Combat Jumping$$powexec_toggleoff Hover$$powexec_toggleoff Fly"
ALT+BUTTON4 "powexec_name Sprint$$powexec_name Fly"
I know it's not perfect by any means but what I'm able to do is to log on and use Shift+Button4 to toggle both Sprint and Combat Jumping on at the same time. I see what you mean about being slow on the release but it works nice so I'm good with that. I added the toggleoff for Hover and Fly just for the heck of it. I can then toggle Sprint off while toggling Hover or Fly on with either Alt+ or Ctrl+Button4.
Once I have both Sprint and CJ on via the single button press...the Hover / Fly toggles only turn Sprint off and leave CJ alone. Therefore, I only need to use the Sprint / CJ toggle once, when I first log on (or if they ever get disabled by a mob).
Again, not perfect but I like it.
Oh, 1 more question: Does Sprint and Super Speed stack? In other words, should I create a bind to toggle 1 off and 1 on or should they both be on at the same time? EDIT: Nevermind. I learned that they do stack but there's a cap to consider.
Thanks a lot everyone. -
Quote:As for toggling CJ/SJ with one key, yes, that can be done.
"powexec_name Combat Jumping$$powexec_name Super Jump"
1st - How are the load times with the separate bind files while playing? Is there any lag or any other noticeable delay when executing one or the other while moving around and such?
2nd - I don't want to toggle btw CJ and SJ but rather I would like to turn CJ and Sprint on with 1 press as opposed to toggling between the. Right now:
"powerexec_name Sprint$$powerexec_name Combat Jumping"
will turn Sprint off and CJ on or CJ off and Sprint on...I want to turn them both on or off at the same time with 1 key, if that's possible.
Thanks again. -
Quote:Ok, thanks for the info. They've prevented the execution of multiple powers bound to a key or macro to keep people from scripting macrobots. Sorry, but your only option is to bind Combat Jumping to another key and toggle it separately.
Does this also mean that I couldn't bind Sprint & CJ to turn on and off with 1 key? Not sure if you can only toggle between 2 powers or if there was a way to toggle them both on with 1 press and both off with a second press.
Thanks again. -
Hello. I'm a returning player and have been messing around with cleaning up some of my old keybinds. Any help would be highly appreciated.
I have the following bind that toggles between Sprint and Fly with the press of the same button:
ALT+BUTTON4 "powexec_name Sprint$$powexec_name Fly"
I would like to add Combat Jumping to the bind so that on the first press it will turn off Sprint and CJ while turning Fly on...the second press would do the opposite by turning Fly off while turning Sprint and CJ on.
Is this possible without having to use 2 different keys with 2 different binds?
Also, just to confirm...it appears as if once the keybinds file is loaded via the Options menu that the binds are saved server side for that character. Meaning that, I could load 1 file for 1 character and a different one for another character and not have to worry about re-loading files all the time. This seems to be the case but a confirmation would be nice on how that exactly works if anyone knows.
EDIT: I've been thinking about CJ and was wondering: Does the defense bonuses stack with those of Hover? Also, do the bonues remain active even if I'm flying?
If yes to either or both then I probably don't want to run CJ off when going into Hover / Fly...just sprint off...In which case, what would the bind be to turn both Sprint and CJ on with 1 button?
Thanks in advance. -
Perfect. Thank you so much for taking the time to provide specifics for me. I really appreciate it.
Take care and have fun. -
I've researched the Patron Powers a bit more and have decided to replace the teleport powers with Soul Mastery powers for my solo/group build and leave the teleport powers for my PvP build.
Can anyone add some specific insight into my other questions? Please. I'm looking to respect this weekend and was hoping for some guidance. Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thank you kindly. -
I've just returned after a 4 year break and have since leveled my Fire / Fire Dom up to 47. After extensive research and a bit of experience under my belt, here's what I have so far:
Incinerate, Smoke, & Bonfire are all out after trying them for awhile and not liking them.
1. Char: I've played with 2 damage enhancements in Char for several levels and haven't seconded guess the decision, until now. Would I benifit that much more by replacing them with 2 accuracy instead (for a total of 3 accuracy). I haven't noticed much of a problem with accuracy but then again I've only had 1 in place this whole time.
2. Fire Breath: Once I found out about cone effects being merged with range enhancements I put 1 in Fire Breath and loved it. So, I put another 1 in there and have liked the added distance as well. However, would I be better suited changed 1 out for another accuracy?
3. Fire Imps: Does the 1 accuracy actually help? If so, should I put more in or is it good with just 1?
4. Health: Does health benefit enough as is with only 1 slot or should I put more in? The difference didn't seem like much but again, I only know so much about the overall picture.
5. Patron Pool Powers: They didn't impress me but I haven't tried any so I'm only skipping them based on what I've read. This is a theme character and none of the patron powers impressed me on what they do and how they would fit into the concept. Any thoughs for a conceptual fire / fire dom?
6. Teleportation: These were chosen at the end as a lack of anything better to choose plus I guess it helps in PvP, which I don't do a lot of but things could change. Even in PvE I like the idea of pulling a single foe out of a crowd, quickly jumping to safety in a pinch, and helping teammates out with a quick port to a mission door. Any suggestions on anything better for my last 3 powers?
Any advice would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Also just noticed tootips for recipes don't work when the Market window is open.

I have found that the tooltips for recipes work regardless of the market window open or not but as with all recipe tooltips (now) only the bottom recipe open will display a tooltip.
YMMV
