When all the firings happened in Brighton recently, Avatea or GR posted that a board merger with the US was something that was being looked at, but they never said it was definitely going to happen.

Hell, GR's been promising us new forum software for nearly a year, and that's still not turned up, so I wouldn't hold your breath for a forum merger...

Personally, I'm sick and tired of all the "soon" rubbish, and no longer expect ANYthing from NC.

Plus there's the built in delay whilst the banks earn a teensy bit of interest on your money whilst it's in their systems.

Alas, Khorak, you're totally and utterly wrong here. Clearly you haven't been reading the posts from people who quite clearly said they only clicked once (you can only click once anyway), and either did NOT retry when TOLD to do so by the sytem, or followed instructions, yet still got charged multiple times.

It's NC's system itself which is borked; not some user error.

Of course, I won't go so far as to say it's FRAUD. It's clearly a technical problem which they will resolve, but what's pretty bad is the time it's taking to fix. Personally, if I were one affected (I'm not as I'm waiting until this is sorted before I buy), then I'd have done a chargeback by now.

I have to say... With this, along with all the other payment problems... Not just the ones with this double/triple charging, but all the payment issues there have been in the last year or two.. NEVER, in all my time on the internet, have I EVER come across a company so... incompetent... when it comes to taking money from customers...

Actually, considering Lobo's history of crossovers, I wouldn't be too surprised to see him show up in CoH as part of a April 1st event or something of that sort (probably beating Statesman up with Recluse or something.)

Which is what we're hoping for in issue 15... If it's not there.. If there's no further story progression... then there's not really any point in hanging around until they DO decide to progress it.

All I know is that I15 is going to be a make or break issue for me. If it doesn't come through with lots of additional content AND modernizing the game to compete with CO & DCUO, then I think I'll be calling it a day, at least for a while.

I'm not really playing at the moment, I'm barely even logging in and my posting in the forums has reduced a LOT in recent weeks. Effectively I'm taking a break as I'm just burned out on CoH and am waiting to see what NC come up with for the 5th anniversary event (if anything) and I15.

If they don't come through, then there's nothing to stay for, really.

Not to mention the wacky explanation for Powerset Proliferation... (Of which we've had no more since the initial lot).

I've said it before... Story seems to have gone out the window in this game...

It would be nice if, whilst waiting for the problem to be fixed, you could tell us WHAT is causing it, and how we might be able to avoid it in the meantime.

If you read up a bit, you'll see a post from me linking people to exactly what you ask for...

An ISO simplifies things into just being a single file to download. A rar can be equally simple, but can be a bugger to unpack. Downloading the files as they exist in the game folder? Man, what a pain that would be... You wouldn't know if you'd gotten them all or not...

If you already HAVE the game client, I agree, but what if you don't?

What about people who have just bought it? Or people who've been away for several issues? Or people who didn't backup and had a HD failure? They don't have the client, or at least, not a recent one. Seeing as NC have seen fit NOT to issue a new boxed copy in the EU for some unfathomable reason, surely at least making an ISO copy available for people to download can't actually hurt?

What's wrong with making things that little bit easier for people, hmm?

Nothing in MA is game canon - except inside the writers head.

The fact that is set within a virtual reality environment surely precludes anything in MA from being game canon?

I am open to a counter argument on this though. One way that I think may work is if the devs took a player arc and placed it inside the CoX reality - thus making it part of the game and canon.

That depends on what you constitute as canon. With respects to all MA missions are actually just games set inside a virtual reality entertainment system, a holodeck if you prefer, then yes they're canon. With respect to the actual stories themselves, no... they're not canon.
