Quote:See? Horses are stupid. First they let people enslave them; then they people make them jump things that are too high and might hurt them. They like jumping, actually - but the very tall 6 feet and over fences in the highest level competitions are not good for the horses - they make them land at a bad angle, and that can hurt and damage their front legs.
Dumb. -

Well, I don't know how you folks in the US handle it; but in the EU this is a total non-issue as people just do that anyway. No one bats an eye in the slightest. In fact, you could be dating a donkey and we wouldn't bat an eyelid.

I've had 2 forum timeouts so far this morning, whilst trying to post. I guess that, when they updated the forum software, they didn't upgrade the creaky hardware they're hosted on!

You do Tai Chi too? Cool! I recently picked up some of Dr Lam's DVD's and have been giving it a try. I'm currently still in the "feeling a little silly as I hold an invisible ball" stage, but my son's karate instructor also does Tai Chi classes, so thinking of attending...

Possibly because Richard is rarely at the statue or Pocket D as Shadowe? He's almost exclusively in civvies, whereas other chars turn up in both.
Hell, even when in costume, how often is Ellie referred to as Tiger White at the statue? -
Quote:Y'know, in RP, my main is a part alien, part feline hybrid who is not only openly lesbian, but is also polyamorous AND married to another woman. You couldn't really GET a bigger target for discrimination if you tried, yet the only time she's faced any prejudice in the game was in backstory I've had to add for story purposes, and even that wasn't particularly strong. I've just never ever seen any discrimination, either real or pretend, in CoH, at least on the EU side of things. But SGs based on geographic location/sexuality/religion/zoological origin/mulitiverse plane of origin/etc/etc are all good as long as no offense or discrimination against players is caused.
Of course discrimination against characters may be fine if in RP and all participants know it to be pure RP...
Kinda leaves me wondering why people are talking about a problem which, in CoH at least, doesn't actually appear to exist. -
I watched a few old movies..
Street Fighter (The Van Damme one)
Super Mario Bros
Hunt for Red October.
Also chatted with friends, did a bit of RP.
Oh, I logged in for about 10 minutes and got about 250xp... -

I prefer names that I feel wouldn't look out of place in a comic book, after all.. It's a comic book world we inhabit!
So I have a catgirl Peacebringer called Tiger White, and she has another nom de plume she uses for one costume which has wings, KittyHawk.
Then I have a power suited hero called Olympiad Prime.
Then there's my energy blaster called Novastar...
And so on. Tiger White has always been my favourite though, especially as her hero name was arrived at via some pretty intense roleplay, so has meaning to the character. -
Quote:Possibly because 5 looks like S? B and S? Bullpoop?I'm quite proud of myself that I can't think of anything else I would associate the combination of the letter B and the number 5, let alone anything potentially offensive (well, at least as far as everything is potentially offensive to a person, but to the public in general, probably not) although I suppose, they could be trying to stop people making Sesame Street characters.

Scorpion pit. Definitely need a scorpion pit.
Oh, and a shark tank too! -
