The pickings in that thread seem pretty.. slim. Any other methods to finding an SG you might know about?

Hey all! Thought I'd toss up a quick blurb about my latest piece of art, a CoH character from Virtue belonging to my girlfriend. The character is Scarlyt, a level 40ish Energy/Kin Corrupter that I'm told has been making AE teams cry repeatedly with her rediculous knockback. I've been considering convincing her to pick up repel, to really drive the point home, but that's another story.
Anyway, we've been slaving away over this picture of Scarlyt for the past 48 hours strong (she draws and inks, which was finished last night, then she sends 'em to me to color, which took all of today) and I'm very proud to present it!
Without further ado: Introducing Scarlyt!
We're very happy to receive comments or critiques; we've come a long way as a pair of artists in a very short amount of time, but we've still got plenty of room to grow, and already I owe thanks to several people and their advice they've given me.
Stay tuned for more in the future! Oh, and we -are- accepting commissions at this time, if you like our work enough to consider such a thing, just get in touch with us either through dA, or through the forums here.
Thanks! -
I'm just bummed that the costume options they get are so exclusive to them. I understand why, but.. there are plenty of Arachnos-loyal characters out there already who'd like their existing characters to look the part.

Even with the "No emails till level 10" rule, I've started to recieve email spam again. Are they really levelling newbish alts each time to avoid being reported? Amazing how relentless they are.

Gah.. I remember this when it was first posted..
Funny thing, I actually caught myself falling victim to each of these symptoms today while helping some friends with their double exp goals. And I realized this guide is as true today as it was when it was first written.
I hated it today when my team would kill my target before I could. Hated it enough to run into the middle of a group I knew I couldn't handle alone, just to see how many I could take down before my group caught up. Answer was 4. Bwaha.
Scrappers forever, yo, 3 years running. -

CTab: Conscience is the inner voice that warns us somebody is looking.
LadyA: What if you don't have one of those?
CTab: Then you better hope that you have money.

That's sig-worthy, right there. May I? -
*strolls through the thread for no particular reason..*
You know, I'm gonna start sounding like a broken record about how much I love your work.. :P -
I love Tephra. She's so awesome to hang out with in game, and that picture just captures her perfectly!
Much love to Darkfang on what I'm calling one of his very best to date! -
I don't think you'd have a problem with that character. Some people might not be interested, sure, but that's true about any concept. You mentioned intent on developing her, and that right there is a winner to me.

If I can find time, I'd love to work out a peice for this month.

"Well, I'd like it cut to here, styled kind of like this" she told the barber. The barber smiled, "Alright." She set to work immediately on the young woman's hair, making conversation. "So, what's the occasion? Just looking for a change?"
"Actually, there's a couple parties coming up.. There's this rather formal one, and then a costume party later in the week. Chance to meet all sorts of people in the community.. figured I'd make sure I set a good impression." the woman in the chair responded.
The barber smiled more as she worked quickly, skillfully. "I think I heard about those parties.. They sound exciting. Kind of thing a city like this needs, to take peoples' minds off the crime, you know?"
"Yup. After this I gotta pick up a dress.. Hey, what do you think about Navy Blue?"
"The hero?"
"No, the color."
"Oh! Well.. you mean for a dress? Would look quite nice, I think."
"Ok.. was a little unsure.. I think I'll do that, then."
The barber smiled again and continued working until she was finished, "Alright, Julia.. there we are."
"Oh that is awesome, thank you. I love it."
Julia paid her quickly, they said their goodbyes, and she went off to pick up her dress. -
A quick right down another corridor, the two walked quickly. A tall man, spiked red hair, in a full suit with a silver tie, and a slightly shorter man with long blue hair, only a step behind him, carrying himself with clearly military trained movements. "Septa, you're not going."
"Oh?" Septa responded.
"Remember Red-Eye?" The blue-haired man asked.
Septa stopped and whirled around, with a glare. "I was acting on orders then and you know it."
They started walking down the corridor again, walking as quickly as they spoke. "Not my point. I refuse to let you attend a party for an unknown element. Regardless of who else attends. There is no telling what might occur."
"Nice try. Don't make me bring you to my trophy room again, Sabe. If it helps, though, I'll fit up the link again. If your suspicions are right.. at least that way you'll have a feed." Septa told him. His associate nodded.
"Very well. See to it." Without warning, he dissapeared into a room. "Alri-" Septa started, before realizing he was alone. With a sigh, he proceeded down the hallway. Cell phone in hand, he dialed a number and began leaving a message. "This is Septa, calling about the request you sent earlier for The Cape to attend your party.. I'll make arrangements for a couple DJs as well as myself to attend.."
((Part 1 of 2. I'll have Julia's peice up in a bit)) -
The wind whistled past her loudly, swishing in circles and tossing her hair about. The thermals up here were fun to watch - occasionally the bird inspired hero would soar by and catch one... how they seemed to dance.. All around her she could just begin to peek at the tops of the other skyscrapers as the sun set, setting the world into a wonderous orange hue.
She came here from time to time.. to get away from people, to think, to feel.. she wondered if the people below her suspected it was raining..
"You crushed his spirit in ways I could never have hoped to." No matter what anyone said, that demon was right. It had been her fault.. And then she wasn't even there to say good bye.. She caused it, and then couldn't even help undo it.
Now there's all this talk of his soul being reachable.. and 4 different people are all planning to "visit" him. Had she spoken up, it mighta been 5.. but her own insecurities again stepped in the way. Again.. a missed chance.
Nothing was making sense anymore.. with a sigh she stood up, enjoyed the wind across her face for a moment more before spreading her arms and taking the dive.. oh how it felt like flying.. -
((After I finish off a quick RP tonight with someone, and read Krickette's post, I should have a decent post worked up.))

She saw it coming. She'd been counting on it, hoping for it even. Ever since Julia Lathan, The Fire Hawk, came back through time, it wasn't precisely easy to meet people. Not much to have in common when everything people here know is considered antique where you're from. She'd only met him, what, 2 days ago? They clicked. No other explanation really, they just clicked. And then, as the famed hero known as Heroid, Roy to his friends, was just leaving for the night, he paused and turned to her. "An' Julia... There's this bistro in Founders... I been meanin' ta try it out... I wuz wonderin'... I mean maybe... If ya like that sorta thing..." Poor Roy.. the other two girls Julia and Roy had been sitting with, (Horned Viper, whom Julia had only just met earlier that day, and another girl who's name Julia still doesn't know) instantly jumped on him, recommending flowers, what to compliment her on, how cute they'd look.. It was all Julia could do to save him some embarrassment and encourage him to be off to do whatever it is he had to leave for.
But there was that time, two or three days ago, where she had seen Roy acting.. very much not like Roy. He had been trying to convince Doctor Steward to do something.. and when Julia approached him, Warrick and Parival stepped in the way, claiming to be protecting her? Strange happenings indeed.. Parzival tried to explain.. but none of it made any sense. Lord of Chaos? Possessed? He certainly didn't seem possessed the day after, laughing and joking and drinking beer..
None of it was making any sense. But just as she suspected, Parival and Tessarae didn't take the news well. After Doctor Steward finished what looked like an impromptu meeting about her upcoming dance and departed, Julia decided to mention her upcoming 'date.' "I uh.. dunno how well this'll be taken.. I'm kinda stoked, though.. Roy's askin me to dinner with him." Parz and Tess stood silent for a moment. Clearly concerned.
This time, the explanation made more sense. Roy had some evil things going on.. and Julia was now in a rather precarious situation. A pretty scary one. And all her thoughts could be summed up nicely in two words. "Whooo boy."
((Yeah.. not by any means a quality post. More of a recap of a halfweek's events. Sorta. This is a wonderful plot, and I'm very excited to be getting involved in itHopefully down the road I might be able to write something to match the amazing quality of posts that have been added to this thread already.))

Bradders, I love a severe chunk of your characters. You're a lot of fun to RP with, even when our character's aren't getting along.
bbphantom.. I KNOW we've met before and talked, I just can't remember any of your characters right now. But you were coolSomeone to look up to.
Fathom/Kymera, I've always wanted to meet you, but could never think up a decent reason/excuse to do so. I'm following the same line of thought that hit me with Pez all of a sudden =/
Jenny! I remember you when you first started out LAST summer. I was like.. lvl 8, you were lvl 5? Dancing away at an early Cape party. You were so much fun back then.. still haven't lost your groove, either.
Plas, to this day, I still hold in high regards. We've gone through a lot of fun times, a few hard times.. and I'll always appreciate that friendship, no matter what.
Killer Whale? You taught me how to breakdance. I love you. -
Who doesn't love Little Unicorn? She turns any frown into a smile pretty quickly.
*edit* Haha! And Pez. Oksah. Creative, inventive.. wild and crazy to the point of almost being considered insane. I now catch myself wondering why you and I didn't start talking sooner?
