I got a free account. I find it very useful, it lets me send Notes to artists I want to commission. Set to watch people so I can automatically see what new goodies they have posted. And it is convinent for sharing this work with others.

Got a folder for reference shots of my characters for the artists, a folder for finished work to show here and maybe inspire others to do their own pics of my toons.

umm.. I like colored. I can see wanting a non-colored version, either for preference of the look or for getting it colored at another time, using different artists/techniques.

A digital pic that I had on order was delayed a bit due to hurricane knocking out the power for the artist. That is certainly a good excuse for it being a little late.

I say wait until it is done right. I love Hero Portraits, and it is very cool they have a very quick turn around time, but I'd be willing to wait a lot longer for a very good piece. I am on the MMOArt waiting list somewhere..
