MMs and proper pvp don't mix too well, in the zones they're ok I guess if you get TP Foe and loads of slows, but that's not really my cup of tea. I only turn up as my mm in the zones when I fancy pvping, not winning or doing any proper damage cause FFs are so easy to run from.

I havent PvP'd in a long time now, but I used to pvp in BB with my Thug/Dark MM with invis, phaseshift and fly. Was particularly fun to duel people in BB with that set up mostly because everyone expected me to go down like a shot (being an MM and all) but were quite supriced when I invisd and left them to the minions, uninvising, resumoning and phaseshifting when needed.

Also used to use my Claw/regen stalker with superspeed (greatest moment there was going toe to toe with a claw/regen scrap for a pretty long time and winning)
  2. Who is the dashing hero who accompanies you in this wonderful VG outing Vixen Girl?

Well done again Vix, cant wait for the next one.

    The human form

Yeah I have a lvl 22 WS too (had the ability to have one for a while but never did until now.)
Like PRAF said PBs are better as mostly human form (tho has major end issues due to the shear amount of powers)
Personally though I am quite liking my WS atm, though this is because I dont mind only using human form for double sunless mire (with the dwarf as well). I feel it can be quite effective when built right and taking advantage of all forms (though I could do with some more slots.) And I think the human form may be more useful later on but I doubt you will be able to escape using the other forms with a WS.
Mabey you could try out a PB and see if you like that any better. It would be interesting to hear someone elses comparison of the 2.
  6. (Bit on the long side sorry, I intended to do it in smaller parts but I couldn't stop writing lol. So I think I will doing it in 2 parts... I'll give you all a while to read the first bit tho )

  7. [u]Death of a Warrior/Birth of a Hero Part 1.[u]
    11th August 1940.

Jane Johnstown, also known as “The Jade Warrior” sat alone in her dingy little room in her family’s house in central London. Her pale skin seemed to shimmer in the candle light and her long auburn hair fell loosely over her face. She brushed it back behind her ears and continued reading the headlines in the newspaper about a German ‘Storm Korps’ raid in France, she was also muttering to herself quite loudly. She had just had another argument with her father. He disapproved of Jane’s ‘un-lady like behaviour’ and very often used the phrase ‘not a woman’s place’ which greatly annoyed Jane. She was very much a modern woman and a headstrong one at that, though not without reason; Jane possessed inhuman strength, speed and skin that was near unbreakable. She also skilfully wielded a magnificent axe and dagger both carved from Jade.
“It is not lady like to gallivant about beating up miscreants,” her father had said “you should be at home helping your mother cook.”
Just thinking about his pig headedness made her want to put her fist through the wall.
“How dare he talk to me like that.” Jade muttered to herself while studying the blurry photograph of a Storm Korp foot soldier, “I’m more of a man than he will ever be.” She circled the words ‘Man of the Hour, saves day again’ and threw the pencil at the wall across the room where it stayed. The front page was always dominated by some strapping male hero these days, particularly the American patriot Statesman, flying all over the place saving this and that. Jane didn’t actually dislike him, in fact she found him quite attractive but at the same time he epitomised everything she hate about the male orientated world see lived in and the men of her life; he was always the centre of attention just like every other man see knew, while she had to stay quietly in the background cooking and cleaning for them whilst they had all the fun.
“I’ll show them. I’ll make them notice me. Then they will have to realise that women are just as strong as men and that women can do more than cook and clean.” She declared to the room in general. Then after a slight pause she continued, a little more quietly, “Though what I will do I’m not quite sure. It will have to be pretty big if they are all as blind as my father.”

She sighed to herself, took a deep breath and tied her hair up in a tight bun as she prepared to face the meal she should have helped make as she knew there would be no point in sulking in her room all evening and if she did he would have won.
She straightened up and reached for the door handle which began to tremble as her hand neared it. The whole house trembled as what sounded like claps of thunder rang through the street. She could hear someone screaming a little way off.
“This is it!” she though as she grabbed her weapons and bolted down the stairs “It’s my time show them what women can do.”

She ignored her family who were staring out of the window as she made for the front door. She tugged at the door so hard that it swung off its hinges. She raced out into the street but stopped dead in her tracks, her mind reeling as it struggled to take in the horrific sight that met her eyes; the night sky above her was ablaze. Terrible shades of red and orange reflected in her eyes as she gazed upward in despair. All her thoughts of displacing the macho heroes from their pedestal vanished as the heavens we’re ripped apart by tremendous explosions. Jane was momentarily brought out of this trance when she heard the scream again, this time much closer. She looked down the street in the direction from which the scream had come but what she saw caused her mind to freeze up again; a small girl was cowering in a broken doorway as a strange metal skinned man advanced on her. As Jane watched in horror she gradually realised that the thing moving toward the girl was in fact not human. It appeared to be some sort of robotic monstrosity with glowing red eyes and razor sharp claws. Jane was once again brought to her senses as six figures marched into view. She recognised them from the blurred photograph in the newspaper and it finally dawned on her what was happening; the Germans had reached Great Britain. This single thought caused a fire that burnt brighter than the sun to explode in Jade’s heart, a flame of pure hatred and anger. “How dare they bring their war here!? How dare they bring their ungodly mechanisms and weapons down upon our great nation!?”

With a blood curdling scream that would have made even the Amazonians take a step back in fear, The Jade Warrior hurled herself toward the abominable metal man, axe raised in one hand, dagger poised to strike in the other, the ground blazed beneath her feet as she travelled faster than she ever had before. The metal man paused as the talon like claw that reached for the girl clattered to the ground, followed seconds later by its head. She turned to the Storm Korp soldiers that had now stopped their march to watch the shrieking spectacle of fury. They were much scarier to behold in the flesh than from a blurred photograph, their almost inhuman stillness was unnerving and the dark faceless, emotionless masks would have made even the bravest man tremble. But Jane didn’t give herself time to reflect on this as the Warrior once again flung herself into the fray. She dispatched their weapons in seconds and in a blur of green blades felled several of the intruders, her dagger piercing the weak point just under the chin of their helmets, her axe hacking the tougher joints in their armoured torsos. She raged onward for almost a quarter of an hour before she realised that the intruders weren’t staying down the way someone who has just had their chest torn to ribbons should. She slowed and looked around herself. One of the six was emanating a strange glow, and as the glow oozed over the black armour clad men their wounds sealed up and were replaced by neat scars. The Jade Warrior charged at the glowing one but as she did so another of the six, whom was slightly more heavily built than the others step into her path. Jane thought that this was quite a foolish move on his part. The Warrior’s axe arched around and collided with the foolish intruder’s suddenly raised arm. Shock gripped Jane’s heart. Time seemed to slow for her as she saw her beloved Jade axe shatter into tiny pieces while the intruder’s arm remained unmoving and unharmed. Her world collapsed as the shards of stone fell to the ground. Through the swirling mists of her consciousness Jane saw the world as it started to pick up speed once more. With growing speed, a fist began to dominate her vision. The fist hit home and Jane staggered backward and struggled not to fall. A booted foot arched seemingly out of nowhere and court her square in the chest. She hit the ground heavily. She was expecting to be hit again but nothing more happened for a short while. She pulled herself to her feet and glanced around and was surprised to find that the six intruders had backed away and were now standing in their marching positions. For almost a full minute neither Jane nor the intruders moved, they simply watched each other as the blasts continued over head. Then just as Jane was about to charge again one of the six stepped forward. He was much taller and thinner than the others. He removed his helmet, which confused Jane and stopped her reacting quickly enough to save her life. He moved closer and closer and as he did so Jane tried harder and harder to bring her dagger toward the intruder’s face but her body felt stiff and no matter how hard she tried she could not move. He was now so close to her that she could smell his foul breath. He held his face inches away from Jane’s and gazed deeply into her eyes. At this range Jane could make out every detail of the intruders face; it was long and slim, almost skeletal and his grey skin was covered in what appeared to be tiny holes. His eyes were almost completely black with only the smallest rim of white visible. Jane dropped her dagger and struggled to remain upright. The intruder flashed her a brief smile, just a flicker of a thing but in the microsecond that it was on his face gave her the impression of row upon row of tiny razor sharp fangs. After this he returned to the ranks and left Jane struggling to move. Before replacing his helmet the ungodly intruder produced a radio communication device and rasped something into it in a voice that sounded like it was speaking though gravel. Of course Jane did not understand a word of German but if she had she would have been even more afraid than see already was. What he said was this: “Adjutant Kueper reporting. Super displaying strength, speed and high resistance to damage. Request air raid at my location. Transmitting coordinates now.” He replaced his helmet, gave Jane one last look then lead the march out of view.

The Jade Warrior wept as she struggled to move in vain. She could do nothing but cry and watch the growing black shape that fell from the sky toward her. There was a flash of light, an eardrum splitting thunder clap and an indescribable that pain spread the length of her body and reached down to the very core of her bones. And then there was nothing. Except for the pain and the charred sky. She lay in a crater, blood oozing from her gaping wounds. She tried to inspect her wounds but when she tried to move her head, pain shot out through her neck and into her torso. Jane had never had wounds before. She had never needed assistance or protection from anyone else before. As she lay there, staring up at the awful sky, Jane felt consciousness begin to slip away.
The Jade Warrior whispered a word she had heard many times before but, until now, had never needed to use herself. Just one simple word.

    “Help.”

The Fifth Column, the last remaining threat from World War II, a group of super powered fascists still fighting a war the rest of the world left behind fifty years ago. The Fifth Column had the nefarious distinction of actually triggering the United States' involvement in the war against Nazi Germany. Hitler first sent the covert super team to Paragon City in 1939, tasked with spying on and sabotaging US shipping and naval development.
After the war the group became careless and were eventually forced to go underground, building up resources and experimenting with super-solder programs and designing automatons.
Shortly after the Rikti Wars the 5th Column seized its opportunity and resurfaced, declaring all out war on Paragon City… the city which harbours many of the heroes who forced the 5th Column to go underground.
It is quite well known that the Council rose to power via the hostile take over of 5th Column, many members of 5th Column agreed to join the Council in order to save their own lives including the former leader of 5th Column, Requiem.
Less well known however is the 'failed' super-solder program that 5th Column had initiated shortly before the Council's take over. The program was called "The Serpents Bite". Its subjects were clones of the 5th Column's best fighters. The clone embryos were spliced with snake DNA and a number of other things such as performance enhancers which were literally laced throughout the embryo’s DNA.
During infancy the embryos were literally programmed through various psychic techniques and psychological methods to give them the ability to fully comprehend tactical operations far better and faster than any normal human and also to ensure that they conformed to the 5th Column ideals.
The result would be a fighter with the speed and agility of a snake and the capability to comprehend a situation and see virtually all out comes almost as fast as the situation presented itself, with a fierce devotion to 5th Column.
This program was so shrouded in secrecy that certain aspects of it were kept secret even from the scientists themselves, such as the process (the details of which are still unknown to this day) which would allow these fighters to reconfigure their own DNA into a separate mould of DNA contained within the coding of their brain. The result of this would be a fighter even closer to a human-snake in appearance that would possess even greater reflexes.
However the first subject, Serpent Alpha, was deemed a failure as its mental capabilities far exceeded expectations to the extent that it was impossible to force it to conform to 5th Column.
Serpent Alpha out witted its guards and escaped; this was put down to the guards' incompetence at the time however now there has been suggestions that the escape was not entirely accidental...
Shortly after this the Council took over, all subjects of The Serpents Bite were terminated. Members of the Council say this is because the program was far in-superior compared to the Vampyri and Warwolf programs. Again it would now seem that this was untrue as Serpent Alpha, the so called failure, has taken down dozens of Vampyri, Wolves and Mech Men whilst barely taking a hit himself. Therefore it would appear that the Council terminated the Serpents out of fear; the Serpents Bite program would clearly be superior to any other program; however the uncontrollable nature of the Serpents would imply an extreme risk to the Council.
Rumours now pollute the air of Paragon City... rumours that suggest that 5th Column may soon rise again from within the Council and the monstrous mind behind The Serpents Bite may well reside within the Council like so many other former 5th Column members do. Is it conceivable that Serpent Alpha may have a key role in the plans of the deranged 5th Column loyalists?
Currently Serpent Alpha is well known for his hatred of the Council who hound him daily in an attempt to destroy him like the other Serpents Bite subjects. His hatred is so well known that on more than one occasion the elite Ascendant Guards of the Centre (mysterious leader of the Council) have been sent to dispatch the threat that is Serpent Alpha. Could it possibly be this renowned hatred that the 5th Column loyalists hope to use? Once the lines are drawn, only time will tell on which side Serpent Alpha will stand...

    Serpent Alpha

((Iv been on the forums for a while now.. but quite quietly and I desided it was time I aired some of my CoH stories from sg forums out here. This first one is an extention of Serpent Alpha's bio which contains some of the 5th Columns offical story (1st paragraph). Other stories will be more flowing stories rather than bios but I think this one will do for now... any who I'll shut up and get on with it now ))
