Since i19 came out I have been randomly freezing when I talk to contacts. Only when talking to contacts, right when the window pops up. I already made sure I had the latest drivers. I tried different resolutions ( seemed to help for the first 4 contacts but, fourth one got me) and settings I turned my nvidia top performance, then quality and all kinds of things but this silent killer keeps on sneaking up on me at random to ruin my evening.
Just wanted to let you know that you weren't alone. My last solution on the list is to redownload the whole shebang...I don't want to do this. Anyone figured this one out yet? -
Afraid of the Dark(ness?)
This week we shine light on the God Of Darkness. We ask a few questions of the controversial shade in the shadow of Atlas' bulk.
Field Reporter:
Tell us a little about yourself. What is your name, for starters?
God Of Darkness:
I am nameless. ( He is known as the God of Darkness among the people of Paragon.)
Field Reporter:
A nameless being, very mysterious. Were you originally from Paragon?
God Of Darkness:
I am an elemental - incarnated from the primordial darkness that was the origin of all things. For many eons I was banished from this world - an ancient enchantment from far before this city came into being.
Field Reporter:
That must be challenging in this place. Is it hard to fit in, find friends?
God Of Darkness:
In a manner of speaking. I have little desire to relate to the humans and other beings who reside here... but there are many siblings, also born of the elements, with whom I spend my time. (he paused for a moment here, flickering within his shadowy aura.)
You would call it a "Super Group". I am the steward of the Nexus... a home for elementals of Paragon City.
Field Reporter:
What are some of the greater challenges you've faced in your time here? Enemies or causes or social awkwardness?
God Of Darkness:
The polluting humans of Crey are some of our primary foes. They disgrace mother Gaea with their vile experiments.
(At this point in our interview, a nearby Heroine costumed like a character from the popular movie 'Twilight' bemoaned the presence of yet another hero with an environmentalist agenda. Readers, I'm sure you appreciate the irony.)
Field Reporter:
Well that's beneficial to all of us isn't it? Which vile polluter or group of polluters are the worst ones?
God Of Darkness:
Crey is the most vile, though the abominations of Dr. Vahzilok are also always worthy of destruction.
Field Reporter:
Do you have a favorite spot on this plane of existence that you like to keep your ephemeral presence?
God Of Darkness:
On this plane? Here, in Atlas Park. Our home, the Nexus, is, indeed on another plane
Field Reporter:
A lot of people would say, "That God of Darkness is too scary looking to be trusted." What would you say to them?
God Of Darkness:
Worry not about trust. I require few dealings with mortals in my duties. Only know that my foes will die, and others will be left unharmed. I promise this of both myself and my children.
Field Reporter:
Thanks again for your time. Is there anything important that you wish to share with the public?
God Of Darkness:
Respect mother Gaea or die.
By this time, we had gathered a small crowd. The God of Darkness obliged us in sharing his multiple aspects of frightening justice. He seamlessly switched from battle, to formal wear and finally to more functional appearances. this isn't too uncommon among Heroes however,he had a few accoutrements that are no longer available in Paragon.

Hot Healer at Atlas' Heel:
Today's Special Spotlight landed on a Hero by the name of Mr Mick Man. Although not Irish and not a wrestling promoter, he does admit to being 'Mick Easy'. His Roman look dazzles passers-by whether he's posing for a polite police frisk-down or keeping his allies from hitting the floor. We caught up with Mr Mick Man in lovely Atlas Park by the back of the monumental left foot.
Field Reporter: Mr Mick Man, when did you first don your Hero duds? That recognizable outfit that you're so well-known for?
Mr Mick Man: (thinks for a minute, chin in hand) I don't know......
Field Reporter: Who is your least favorite or 'Arch-Enemy', if you will.
Mr Mick Man: My favorite enemy was Kinectiocylon. He was my best friend, at one time. He..wanted to kill me but, couldn't.
Field Reporter: Couldn't you say? What was it that stopped him?
Mr Mick Man: I did, ( he laughs softly here, looking to the horizon) I'm awesome! Even though I couldnt really hurt anyone -I just heal people.
Field Reporter: What is it that makes Mr Mick Man keep healing? What helps you keep your allies off the floor?
Mr Mick Man: I love meeting new and exciting people!
Field Reporter: Finally, what is your favorite place in Paragon City?
It turned out to be right where we were standing but, there was a very interested police officer acting satellite to our interviewee. No sooner had we ended the interview when one Atlas Police Deputy began patting down Mr Mick Man, who complied magnanimously. The Atlas Police Deputy requested a moment of our time;
Field Reporter: Of course, Officer. On the record of course.
Atlas Police Deputy:I just want to say that since the Great Hero Immigration, I don't have much to do around here anymore. I remember the old days before the Immigration, and then during. I fought side by side with great heroes like....
Readers- dear glorious Heroes- I must admit that I lost interest here. Not that I don't appreciate the every day heroism provided by those not only dedicated to public service but, who are also paid for it (and I told the officer as much.) I had simply grown tired of all the humility and had a deadline to meet. To the Atlas Police Deputy, please write a letter to the editor in order to schedule your interview. Our staff will get back to you post-haste.
