That is funny, I played WoW for about a year on/off...and I burned out and figured that I truly hate the way the game is. Anyways
I picked those ears because they are really the only thing that gives his head a very intersting dynamic. Most of the hair pieces look out of place...and the other accessories give him this look like he has no neck. -
I have a lvl 30 super strength/invulnerability brute named Rekken. He is of "magic" origin. I wanted to get some ideas thrown out to me that I could use to create an origin for Rekken. He looks like some sort of demon-elf type guy. Anyways, I will let you guys at it; here is a compilation of pictures in one screen shot:

Because you can still function with -spd and -recharge on you. They also have floors, so you will be able to use some powers (including Phase, Teleport, Heal, etc). There are also buffs to counter them, which are much stronger than the debuffs (speed boost for instance).
Overall, debuffs really are not that strong in PvP. If they were, Dark would be the king.And, of course, there is the psycology of being completely helpless (held) versus having a chance (debuffed).
As for nerfing debuffs, again I think that will just create greater rifts in all of the buff/debuff sets. Buffs are already better most of the time, and in PvP. Debuffs are really only better during AV battles, and even then you still want healers/buffers around.
Sure, we could nerf debuffs and then nerf AVs, but then we go back to the "defenders are not needed" problem before all of the -regen and such were added.

They favor debuffing over control for AV fights in COV currently. This is a problem for dominators because our PRIMARY is control....No AT in COV has a PRIMARY debuff set. Our primary is the only one that gets the slap in the face during AV fights, while all the other ATs don't get their primaries blocked in any way. To top it off, all the other AT's secondary still work GREAT in an AV fine. It just makes no damn sense!
Only the defender from COH has debuff as a primary...Maybe COV needs to be balanced differently? -
Jib, you should of went with Mind/* my friend.
Gravity has Propel, Dimension Field, and 2 immobilizes which are all garbage powers in my personal opinion.
Now with your sentiments towards wormhole...I would almost go with 5, hehe.
so 5/9 of your primary sucks...wow, i would stop playing that powerset completely.
Mind/* has a quicker animating hold and has levitate (same thing as lift, but does MORE damage).
Everything else in Mind/* is a great power. Mass Hypnosis and Telekinesis are considered to be the most situational for PvE...but they are still pretty damn good.
Mind is 9/9 set. I love it. -
I think there is a whole post dedicated to ambushes targeting Dominators...damn...that is the last thing we need.

The corruptor forums have no talk about being underpowered. It's the opposite, there is people in those forums that are posting videos saying that corruptors are probably overpowered for certain things...lol.

Nerf: originally from when an archer-type class in another game had an attack so severely downgraded that they "might as well have been using a Nerf Bow and Arrow". "Nerf" became "any massive downgrade to a class/ability"...it's now "any downgrade whatsoever". Standard usage is a blatant exaggeration.
I mention this to set up what most posters mean when they say "it sucks!"...they don't mean "it sucks", they mean "it in any way underperforms when compared to the alternatives"--as most players agree that Dominators do underperform, however slightly, the forums are going to be filled with "doms suck" when, in all probability, a couple relatively minor changes could make them equal.
Basically, this is my longwinded way of saying that they do "suck" but only because it doesn't take much at all to fit the accepted use of the word, at least in forums like this. Something can "suck" by being slightly weaker.
Edit: in my mind, Dominators don't suck. They do underperform, but all it would take to achieve parity is a small boost to their normal play and a shift in how AV's resist control effects.
However, the way "they don't suck" will be interpreted as "they don't need any help at all" by those accustomed to the exaggerations.

Sure, it's reasonable to get the most you can or want more than you have. And like I said I won't argue that doms don't need a little help outside of Domination. Maybe we do.
But I do not agree that Doms suck. I think I have expressed my opinion on this matter enough so I'm going to let it ride. If you or anyone else thinks Doms suck, so be it. I just wanted to let it be known that it is not a universal opinion. Besides which it is totally subjective and unqualified.
Suck compared to what? Suck in all areas? Suck in damage compared to a raging fury filled brute? Suck in crowd control compared to a controller? Does that count during domination with powerboost active? etc. etc.
Not every AT shines all the time. Every AT has his day, his strengths and weaknesses. Do Doms have more weaknesses than strengths compared to other AT's? I can't really answer that, but from the ones I've played the answer is it seems fairly level.
Anyway I have fun on my Doms, so I guess that's the most important thing.

I can answer for you: yes, they do.
Doms don't suck, they are still playable, and they can "get through" the game content. That's fine.
People are arguing what makes them inferior to the other ATs. This is the whole problem. -

You like others want to "pull your weight" by doing High Damage, while on a Medium Damage AT. I guess we are just going to have to disagree then. I believe if you are going to make an AT and not imitate the mistakes of Controller pre-containment, you must make them fun and easy to solo. Also they benefit to the team should be obvious to make them wanted by teams and you should not be able to fufill they're roll *better* with other ATs than you can with the AT.
I should not be able to out-control a controller with a defender, I should not be able to out tank a Tanker with a Scrapper.
I should not be able to make a Fire Kinetics Controller who control and damages using Power Pool attacks better than my Fire/Energy Dominator. I shoud not be able to do the same with my Ice/Dark Corruptor.
...or an Ice/Energy Blapper for that matter!
I read multiple guides before I made my Dominators, and read the forums, and most warn of the tedium... playing a superhero game should not be tedious, even Pre-SO, especially on V2 of said superheroe game. Especially since they got things right with Brutes and Corruptors. Stalkers are a specialty but still solo well for lotsa good reasons...and they may hit and run (a common practice among Blasters as well) they don't sit around endlessly punching 3 white minions to finally put them to sleep.
I've been on teams and Ive run teams and pre-SO, its easy to notice the Dominators are not pulling they're weight...and since I play them and have read guides on them I know they are not, its not just assumng since I've seen them from the inside out...
and that seems unfair on an AT that needs to team to reach 22

I agree.
Some people have accepted that Dominators do not need any fixes...and as long as they can get through the content...it's fine by them. They are satisfied with just completion...and don't really care to excel in certain things as long as it stays fun.
Dominators are a lot of fun...but when bringing in comparisons of other ATs and game mechanics, you have to sometimes say: W.T.F.? -
Brutes, MMs, Corruptors: These 3 ATs can perform well or excellent at ALL the content in the game.
Doms, Stalkers: These 2 ATs can perform mediocore to well at half the content and are just plain AWFUL at the other half (whether it's pvp/AV fights/etc) -

Well, I think that Controls and Debuffs are both team support sets. And, by the logic of the game, if my PRIMARY is team support, I should provde MORE team support than someone whose SECONDARY is support. And I just don't feel that's true. I can contribute significnantly more to my team's success as a Corruptor than a Dominator. (Though the differntial is MUCH stronger in the early game than the late game.)
And that doesn't strike me as a "fair share" given that my PRIMARY is support and the Corruptor's SECONDARY is support.
I'm sounding more negative on Doms than I feel here, but I guess sometimes the facts just plain sound bad. I think Doms are behind in their ability to provide team support and their capabilities in the early game.
And, as "fun" as I see this change being, I don't see that it addresses that issue.

I do agree with Pilcrow somewhat. When my Domination is on in a big team, I can still do the same job. I hold longer but I can equally spend more time to hold when I am not in Domination.
If Domination gives Dom better defense/accuracy, Doms can really go nuts and provide a lot more damage for the team (especially if we cannot hold through Purple Triangles). The only trouble is it may make Dom too powerful in PvP? We shall see....

I'd like to see it recharge you HP bar as well as your END bar. As for DEF and ACC, I think +DMG, +HP, +END, +MAG, +DUR is likely enough.
I wouldn't even mind not getting the +HP if death didn't kill both Domination and your Domination bar. It would be a nice synergy with Corruptors if they could rez & heal you and then you turn into a tazmanian devil of destruction. There's a one-two punch to reverse a combat gone bad. But you can't do the 1-2 punch because if your Dom dies, kiss your Domination bar bye bye.

The reason for this is that controllers essentially already HAVE an assault secondary. When holds work (99% of PVE), trollers do as much damage or more than dominators. This isnt a fair comparison, because trollers are like dominators with buffs/debuffs/heals, what not to like?
Controller damage is slightly reduced by not having the number of attacks to complete a good attack chain, but if you build in pool attacks (air superiority, box, etc), you can get a decent attack chain, that does great damage once containment sets in (doubling you enhanced damage makes even brawl look pretty decent, not to mention triple in PVP).
This is the problem with comparing doms and trollers, trollers didnt originally have any real damage, making people want what became dominators. However, in the meantime, controllers gained real good damage in addition to the uber team assist powers in control and buff/debuffs/heals.

I can see how melee is useful when soloing the standard 3-4 mob format...but when in a team situation it has no effective use...and it leads me to believe that this AT wasn't designed with too much thought.

Man where the heck did you come from. Have you ever even posted anything positive or negative here.
The childish thing is to try to change or dream of changing things so that they conform to your own personal view of something should be. Especially when you did not have a hand in creating it.
There is plenty of pissing and moaning about what should be done to the AT that has something wrong with it because YOU cannot Dominate.
There are plenty of things we can change with the AT to make it easier for YOU.
High Hit Points. High Damage Tier instead of Medium. Higher BI. Access to High and Superior damage powers before Tier 7. Lets change Domination to Fury.
Sound like we also have many people saying "I don't know what Dominators need, but they need something" How about you as a Dominator. . .try figuring out W.T.H. you need to do personally.

OK. . Lets see, we need to give Doms shields. . .mez protection. . .a brute's 100% fury bar damage with a pre I5 damage enhancement assault build. . . more hit points. . . .well we basically just want a Dom to be a Brute but with Holds and an array of ranged attacks. Yeah. . .that would fix them. Oh yeah. We all also want the 1st tier attack changed to an Extreme damage fast recharge attack with a minimal activation time just to be sure everyone can play em.
P.S. Magnitude 10 holds would be great btw.
