/e barely moves sitting on her perch inside the building no sounds except the occasional purr from Neko. For the longest time all is quiet in the dim predawn grey of morning.

    Then suddenly horns blare!
Lights flash in a myriad of colors! Reds! Oranges! Purples! All Flashing randomly!
Metallic confetti is exploded from hidden locations to flutter wildly around the room while two robotic clowns in motley tumble throughout the room crashing cymbals!
Then Jeeves, the robobutler, comes out and does the Cossack sword dance with a chainsaw!

All all the colors and sounds and lights...

    all spinning faster and faster....

Jeeves crashing into the clowns sending them sprawling into the confetti pots sending even more metallic glints everywhere...

And now the butler and the clowns all entangled roaring and cymbals crashing!

    Louder!

    and LOUDER!

    And ...

    <click>

Silence......the confetti floating silently, the lights dimming and the butler and the clowns their instruments quietly put away, slink back to their little part of the building...

The odd bird takes her hand off a small button on the end of the perch and nestles back down.

"Last time I tell the building to wake me when it's morning."

So last night on my way to go pick up my girlfriend for a date... my car stopped running. She had to come pick me up. After an entire date worrying about my vehicle... I was informed that there was nothing I could do and it'd have to wait. We got it towed... it's currently being fixed, but... it may be unfixable.. and there is no chance of me getting a new one... that was my last means of being free.... Now I'm stuck at home for the rest of my days.... Even shouting KHAN! At the top of my lungs doesn't help...

  6. 1-50 with a team full of awesome SG folks. Played an Earth/Sonic. Not really sure about the epic yet. Need some TLC time with it. Picked Psi just for kicks and mez protection.

Finished off with an MSTF with the 2 day old toons. Wonderful weekend!!!
  7. When my SG went in we noticed that in trials of testing theories and tactics Hamidon did adapt to our tactic and quickly overpowered us. It was not due to lack of numbers or unskilled raiders.... it seemed something more. So i approched it with a more *Mitigating* continuity. On our 3rd try we went in with everyone having a specific job and they were NOT to deviate from it for any reason whatsoever. In my Sig is my guide. I will be updating it and reviewing other guides seeing if theres a way to hybridyze it, but as of yet this is the way we beat him. This is not theory, this is practical. It works and we will repeat this process again weekly with the same leads until such time as i feel comfortable in altering it so as to decrease the raid time. Every raid leader wants a faster more efficiant raid. i want nothing more then that. Efficiancy is key.

coordinating the Yellow Agro teams seems to be the bane of the new Hami Raids

    [/ QUOTE ]
The yellow Mito Aggro is not that bad. It seems very hard at first but once you get a rythem going with your taunt squads you will be fine. Take a look at my Raiding solution found in my sig. At our 3rd attempt ever we nailed it. I am predicting a 2 hour raid the next time we do it. Hopefully we can get it down to less then that. If you need help I am more then happy to share my findings.
  9. Very Informative. Nicley laid out. Champions server Has successfuly taken down Hami Live as of 5-5-07. We had the zone filled and many happy campers!!!

  10. Strykers Guide to Issue 9 Hamidon Raids

    Team Setup:

    Taunt Team 1
4 emps (One of these emps is the Taunt Team Lead)
    3 tanks

    Taunt team 2
4 Emps (One of these emps is the Taunt Team Lead)
    3 tanks

    Scrappers team
1 Emp (Stays outside the bowl and TP's and resses for the scrappers)
1 Rad (To debuff the Scrapper teams target and AM the scrappers to increase thier dmg)
    6 scrappers

    Main team
2 bubblers (1 Sonic Bubbler & one Force Bubbler)
3 darks (All must have Shadow Fall for Fear Resistance)
    1 Targeter
1 Kin (Must Have ID and SB)
1 Emp (To TP and Ress the Main team if team wipes, should never enter the bowl)

    Main Taunt team
    1 Emp
1 Kin (For ID and SB)
2 Tanks (Preferrably Stone Tanks, Assign a primary and secondary taunter.)

This allows for 16 more spots. These spots are completly interchangable between defenders, controllers & blasters. Mix your teams and have fun!!!

***NOTE*** If you are Heavy on Ranged Dmg target blues, if you are heavy on controllers Target Greens.

Setup: Form up on Monster Island. You need to get your specific teams set up and farm a full tray of EoE's. Once everyone is full of EoE's head to the hive and set up.

***NOTE*** you dont NEED EoE's to successfuly defeat Hami, but having them can significantly Decrease your raid time.

Delgational Authority: To make this Hamidon Strategy work you need to delegate authority to team commanders. These team commanders must know thier jobs and be able to lead thier teams with optimal efficiancy.

Now to the explination of how everything works together. Firstly you must coordinate 2 taunt teams. These taunt teams (Taunt Teams 1 & 2) must have a team commander who DOES NOT enter the bowl at any time. Thier job is to assign yellow mito targets to tanks, and to designate a personal emp to said tank who will be taunting the assigned mito.
If your the team commander you instruct your emps to clear mind your tauners until such time that the tanks are ordered to enter the bowl and taunt thier target. Once the tank has established aggro then the emp moves in to heal thier Tank. The team commander must have Recall Friend and Ress and will ress anyone who dies and send them back into thier original position if anything goes wrong.

***NOTE*** When tanks are ordered into the bowl, they must have Fort, AB, RA and pop an EoE inspiration before going directly for thier assigned yellow mito.

During the buff stage the Main Taunt Team will send in a fully buffed Tank with an EoE inspiration popped & SB on them. At this point they TP into taunting range of Hami himself and keeps taunting him intil his EoE wears off.

***NOTE*** Hami attacks & the green mitos have a -regen effect to them after about ten attacks. At about 8 attacks or whenever the taunters' EoE starts flashing, the Main Taunt team needs to send in the secondary fully buffed Tank to replace him so the primary tank can get out of the bowl and let the -regen effects wear off while he gets rebuffed to replace the secondary taunters place when his EoE's wear off. Rinse and repeat, have fun!!!

The Main team will have a bubbler who everyone (except the assigned taunt teams) will follow. It will also have a targeter who everyone will target through just like old raids. With the 3 darks and a Kinetic spamming SB and ID and being in the shadow fall of the darks with bubbles on you your ability to resist fear from the blues should be capped and you should enjoy a very efficiant raiding experience. This Main team is what everyone else follows. If your zone has more Controllers make your targets the green mitos, if your zone has more Blasters target the blues.

***NOTE*** Make sure that you stay out of melee range of the blue mitos, they have an endurance draining aura that is comparable to an Electric blasters Power sink, only its always on like a toggle. If you get close... you will not be attacking for long becuase you will have no endurance even with AB and RA on you. Stay back and enjoy the benifits of ranged attacks on these mitos.

    Steps to beginning the raid:

Step 1: Have a 30 second countdown where at the end you AB, Fort, RA and tell the Yellow Mito Taunters to pop an EoE move in and attain Mito aggro. Have the Hami taunter go in a few seconds before that and attain Hami aggro so the yellow mito taunters don't die.

Step 2: Have the Main team go in with the scrapper team after the taunters all have affirmed Mito and Hami Aggro. Target the blue mitos with the main team.

Step 3: Have the scrappers break off from the Main team while moving in and attack a single yellow. Once they defeat a Mito have the team commander begin attacking the Main teams target. Once both a yellow and a blue are down, have the scrappers move to the next yellow under the main bubbles heals and buffs.

Step 4: As the yellow mitos begin dying have the tank and emp who were assigned to taunt it, pull back and reinforce the rest of the taunters if and when they go down. This will allow for some redundancy which helps ensure that the main team does not get yellow mito aggro for the rest of the raid. If the taunt team leaders feel comfortable have them send in the emps and tanks to assist the scrappers. This will increase thier DPS and thier support status which will help ensure the Main team takes less Yellow mito aggro.

Step 5: Once all Mitos are gone have the taunt team commanders get the tanks and emps back into position. Once in position have the emps begin CM'ing thier tank in preperation for the next bloom of mitos. At this time also get the scrapper team emp out of the bowl in preperation of a team wipe when the next bloom of mitos appear.

This plan will make it possible for you to quickly manage mito waves and consolidate leadership so it's managable and easy to understand. Good luck using this guide and I wish you luck. I highly suggest having everyone in a voice chat server it helps manage the taunt teams coordination much more efficiantly.
