Quote:There will only be one MP in my opinion. Somebody else could create another EF, PC or MP, but they wouldn't be the original. The original EF, PC and MP all have personas associated with those initials. So even someone did show up with those initials, it would be clear fairly quickly that this was not the person who is known by those initials.Question: I only have two toons with initials MP...this toon wont have that...but you should beable to figure out who i am. So if someone creates more toons with the initials MP then i have...do i relinquish my "MP" nickname?
Should there be an elec theme, i thought about using the name "Current Persona" which would be CP and not PC...but knowing that the letters P and C belong to PC I feel i would be robbing PC of glory.
Current Persona sounds like a pretty cool (see what I did there) concept. Personally I think that if we ever did a stone superteam, someone should totally use the initials FE.
I'm all rolled up and ready to start the new EF. Looking forward to tonight. -
Quote:That's cause for a genericing. I am the EF.At least EF will still be EF, and I'll be PC, but imagine if others bring toons with those initials
Honestly, I don't know what would happen if someone else showed up with those intials. My guess is that I'd be EF or PC would be PC and the new person would have their own nickname, but I would call them Mini-Me or Mini-PC. -
Quote:Join when you can. Real life and especially school is important. We'll be here when you have time.I think I'll sit this one out. As you may have guessed from my complete absence from the Time team lately, I haven't been able to spend as much time in game as I'd like. I should have a lot more free time in a couple of semesters.
Double xp will be August 10-12. Perfect timing for us. -
Great job leading King. The trials went really well.
I think that the one escaped because he decided to run straight to the exit, between the buildings where Nightstar spawns.
The UGT run was epic. We just stomped everything in our path. I unlocked lore on my TW scrapper and because we also ran Magi, was able to unlock Excalibur.
Looking forward to more trials on Sunday. -
Great overview of the evenings events. I'm looking forward to running this. This should be a great time and I think that we should be able to get those badges and more likely than not other badges as well.
I think we could pull off a MoBAF in one run. It would involve splitting the league into a team for Siege, a team for Nightstar and a small team to hang out on the helipad and wipe out the spawns as they show up. Alarm Raiser isn't hard to get, just involves not clicking the turrets.
I also think that we could pull off Regenerate This as well. With the buffs that our timers bring to the table, it shouldn't be a problem. I'm really torn between bringing my timer and her buffs and bringing my TW scrapper that needs to finish unlocking lore so I can run Magi and unlock Excalibur.
For the Keyes Loves a Challenge badge, I'll be bringing my thermal troller because directed heals are a good thing when people start getting disintegrated. I think that badge fits the superteamers really well. -

Sounds like a great time! Looking forward to getting some itrial badges and having fun with the fine folks of the Justice server.

Currently watching the coffee talk on Twitch TV. There is some good changes coming to blast sets in I24. Tier 9 nukes are having their recharge reduced, will be made crashless and have their damage normalized. Geyser, the Water Blast nuke, was already crashless, but it's recharge was reduced by about a minute. I predict that after the team hits 32 or 38 in some cases, we'll just be a group of rolling nukes slaughtering everything in sight. It's going to be beautiful.
There's also changes being made to ancillary pools. There's a thread here with more info. It looks like there's some really positive and needed changes coming in I24. After seeing the changes to fighting and presence, I'm really curious what's being done with the other ancillaries. This will give us greater flexibility in builds. -

Is it possible to "join in progress"?
New players are welcome at any time and at any level. We do our best to get everybody on a team.
As for my new superteamer, her intials will be EF (shocker I know) and will have Water Blast as a primary or secondary.

I like the idea of starting in Praetoria, we haven't done that in a while. We could go from Praetoria to First Ward and on to Night Ward.
-
Does anyone else feel the urge to have a water balloon fight to celebrate?

Quote:Scrapping the previous poll and starting a new one with the top choices and water blast sounds like a cool (see what I did thereI also vote for scrapping prior poll and including Water Blast. Is there an eta for Nature Affinity? Even if not, I'd like to vote on Water Blast and if Nature is out by the time we start, I can pair WB with it, were WB to win.
) idea to me. It's being released at a perfect time to be included in superteam.
My guess is because Water Blast is coming out next week, any other new sets probably won't be released for a while. Possibly after I24, but I'm really just guessing here. -
Happy 4th all! Now let's go celebrate our independence by trying to blow up a small part of our country!
I have a suggestion for the poll. Since water blast is coming out next week, is there any chance of getting a water/ice blast option added to the poll. The timing is perfect to include it as an option. -
I'm guessing that arafel will be ready to give up the poll results soon-ish. (makes note to remind self to pester arafel about poll results)
I'd like to make a suggestion that if there if the theme chosen allows for variety (fire/* corrs, kinetics troller/defender/corrs or titan weapons) that we not post what we decided to roll up. It's my opinion that if nobody knows what everybody else is bringing, then it'll add to the challenge. We've done enough superteams that it really isn't hard for us to build the ideal team. I still think that we'll slaughter everything in sight, but it'll be a little more interesting. -
Many thanks to the superteam for showing up tonight and helping me take Helldandy (my TW/Elec scrapper) to 50. It was a smooth strike force. Great fun leveling one of my favorite scrappers with some of my favorite players.
Hope everyone has a good week and a safe and fun Fourth of July! -
*puts ice cream on arafel's chocolate chip pizzookie*
On a more serious note, I put the poll in the JST channel motd. -
Quote:What about a pizzookie?
I am not opposed to taking bribes to sway the poll in any particular direction. Cash, cookies, and/or pizza are all welcome. -
Quote:I'm guessing Janet is SO ready for her closeup.Just moved up to this week! B Movie Janet is looking forward to it.
Just a couple thoughts if we do decide to try for a MoUGT, Protonic Reversal, Ensign Fjerestad, Fade Aside and iirc Symmetry Breaker all have access to snipes. I'm not remembering any other superteamers with the potential to snipe. -
I just pm'ed arafel my ideas. Looking forward to whatever the hive mind comes up with for the next adventure. I've been keeping my altitis under control with my TW/Elec scrapper.
The summer blockbuster event starts on the 10th of next month. It looks fun and like it has a good challenge. I'd like to get a night in of running that. That kb>kd io looks pretty sweet and profitable.
Out of curiosity, during this itrial extravaganza what Mobadges would we be going after? MoBAF, MoLambda and MoDD are very doable. MoUGT is doable, provided that you have people with snipes. MoKeyes is doable if you can herd cats...I mean keep folks out of the green stuff and alive. MoTPN can be done, just need folks to stay outside and take out telepaths. MoMoM requires all possible nightmares in the first phase, so that one requires some farming. Last time we did this, I recall there was some requests for Midnight Dodger from Tin Mage. -
An itrial extravaganza sounds like a good idea. If you want, we can throw together some door prizes for the event. I'm in with whatever +3 the group could use.
Baub and I won't be online on Sunday. We're going to a friends for a Lord of the Rings marathon. Would that be lotrfest or lotrapalooza? But we should be online on Friday.
My TW/Elec scrapper has her Lord Recluse mish up and I'd like to see if we can kick his butt at +4. Actually, I think we have before, but I want to do it again. -
But they don't understand my scrapper love like you guys do.
-
Congratz on the new 50!
Magi is a fun trial. I'm still getting used to the mechanics, but I really like the end where you just stomp the big bad.
We had a lot of fun last night. Felt kind of bad about bailing on you guys, but not too bad. -
Sorry to bail, but it's hard to say no RL calls and says come to a party.
I did want to link to the Oatmeal's site because it's not very often that you hear about people going to great lengths to be nice on the internet.
Here's the link- somewhat NSFW http://www.indiegogo.com/bearlovegood?c=home -
How about jumping into a Magi on Friday? King did an excellent job leading it the other night.
I still think that we're more than capable of pulling off a Really Hard Way attempt.
