  1. "Hilda wake up my german wife! I have just invented a maneuver!" - Dr. Heimlich (as told by Eddie Izzard)

    (sorry couldn't resist)

    Been a bots/traps MM since day one and when running the Force Field Generator, along with my prot bots Force Shield, Maneuvers is very worth it. What is normally a very slight def boost becomes a very nice addition to overall defense. Outside the usual suicidal battle drone (you know the one i'm on about) my entire mini-army is pretty impervious.
  2. You can enable/disable seeing other pets names in the options but as far as i can see you can't disable your own.

    I'm with the OP, since I7 seeing your own has been on and i'd rather have some way to turn it off. Ruins the immersion for me to see names floating above heads, people or pets.
  3. Yeah, my 3rd tier 1 Bot seems to like to get up close and personal. For his next trick he usually faceplants.
  4. Must be related to this mornings Hotfix, since it was Pet related it's a fair bet.

    1st Henchmen

    If my memory is correct i have them slotted at 2 acc and 2 dam SOs. they do fine in the hit dept, playing a bots MM i can't speak for all, but i agree with one of the previous posters in that since I7 i've kept them on bodyguard duty, and have the rest attack. With the added dam resistance from Bodyguard and heavy defense from leadership, traps and the Prot Bots i then tend to wade in and use Air Superiority and Web Grenade for CC purposes, at that point after i take some damage they tend to pitch into the fight and do pretty well while staying in Bodyguard mode. (not really relevant but i do all that on Ruthless)

    It all depends on your style and tactics but don't underestimate the tier 1s, as bodyguards or cannon fodder just remember that they may be weak but there are 3 of them. Strength in Numbers and all that
  6. There isn't a slow effect in group fly so i assume the -acc still applies.

    Minion Emotes?

    Copied from the EU Beta boards, and was even there copied from the US Beta boards

    Here is some petsay fun

    Here is a way to have a pet say multiple comments, in sequence, with a touch of a key. If this has been mentioned elsewhere my apologies and credit for this really belongs to the author of the complete guide to binds on the CoH forums.

    1) make a directory on your HD, I called it c:\cov
    2) make a text file named, for example, pet1.txt
    3) in the file put this line ;

    o "petsay_all your pets comment here$$bind_load_file c:\cov\pet2.txt"

    4) bind to whatever key you like, or make a macro of it. Also you could use a specific pet name with /petsay_name name
    5) make a pet2.txt file with;

    o "petsay_all your pets other comment here$$bind_load_file c:\cov\pet1.txt"

    6) in Cov use /bind o "bind_load_file c:\cov\pet1.txt"

    Now when you hit "o" the pet will cycle between the two comments. Clearly you can add many more comments, and emotes, if you wish. Just make sure to have the last file refer back to the first one. I plan on eventually having my pets have arguments among themselves.

    Pet1"you pull"
    Pet 2"no you pull"
    Pet1"lets get Mikey to pull"
    Pet2"Mikey will pull anything"
    Etc
