Haha, well that's gotta be from The Outsiders... I can hear Matt Dillon saying it, but I'm not sure... And I'm not searching and cheating, so there we are then!
I liked your old sig, but I like this one a lot too. Although, sometimes the reality of it seems like whatever you do, be ready to accept that someone's not going to like it or how you did it, haha... I have been known to be a bit jaded though.
Nice to see ya 'round, WW! -

Which Witch?
War Witch, that's who!
I want to see War Witch DIE...
Yes, she's already dead... So, that means she'd come back to life!!
A vote for War Witch to die is a vote for War Witch to live!

Quote:FANTABULOUS!!!!!!!!!Just another quick update before I am out of here for a couple of days off to celebrate my Birthday (Friday) I'll be gone until Monday so please play nice and be good
Since so may asked I shrunk the back pack and you will be happy to know there is a version of the second back pack without the little pistons so 3 back packs will be available.
Thanks guys for the feedback and comments!
Have a great long weekend and Birthday, Dink!!
Thanks for the awesome work and for sharing it and responding so wonderfully!
You are, indeed, spoiling us! -
Quote:Way too soon, indeed. He died way too soon. Always enjoyed their music and humor. Here's a little hero-themed clip to remember him by:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQQ8cBHb0fg
I was thinking of that clip when I saw this thread!
And, around the 26 second mark (he's on the far left), we see that, beyond his wonderful voice, Davy Jones's skill of portraying a superhero in flight rivals that of Christopher Reeve's!!
Hehe, he was always so willing to do whatever it took for a laugh.
Thank you, Mr. Jones. -

Congrats, Mel!
I was just thinking about how we don't get to see enough of you around here any more!
I hope maybe this means we will get a bit more of ya now and then.
That and... While we'd all put it together and had some vague information passed our way... I missed the memo that had you move out of the top spot!
So, welcome back, you hoser!

Quote:Well, there is that whole pesky aspect of the work week as opposed to a 7-day-period week.Actually, he said it wasn't Imminent yet, but close. So March 8 would be still more than a week away, but close to being Imminent
So, I'd suspect that March 6th is still a possibility, even within the confines of Zwill's decoded meanings...

Heeheehee...
Of course, the reality is that Hulk is a completely broken, cheating combination of things beyond what is attainable as a player in this game...
That being said.
I do believe, thematically, Hulk is Brute incarnate!
Hulk is really more of a SS/Inv/Regen/WP GM!!
His invulnerability is greater than most... As is his regenerative properties.
So, he really has both defensive barriers at extreme levels.
Within the confines of this game, however, I do think that Will Power best represents this (with its combination of survivability benefits).
Still, I couldn't argue with /Regen... And I couldn't argue against /Inv either... But I'd pick /WP as the medium in-between the two. -
I always took the "ponytail" as an adornment on the helmet (like a horse's tail or the like).

Quote:What ever happened to the lil brainsucker shoulder pet?Quote:If I had to guess that was probably sort of a joke and never was meant to be taken seriously. Sadly it would also be a complete ripoff from at least Futurama so that's probably enough of a reason why it won't happen.
While it sounded, to me, like it was less than 50% chance it'd be included... they were honestly working on it and it could happen.
I'm trying to word this well enough to not give any false hope, hehe (and to not misrepresent anything Zwill and Clockwork were cool enough to chat about).
summary: surprisingly, they have done some work to see if they can include the brain slug thingy. -
I think it is a bit of a sliding scale, partially depending on what hat he is wearing.
Also, check out this video (from 5:30-6:14ish) to better understand Zill's take on time:

That should clear it up!
(sorry, couldn't find a smaller video with just that clip!!) -
Quote:This is the truth!!Changes to a set based on our feedback can't always be completed in time for the release date of the set.
Quote:Not to mention I recall these being meant for Chinese New Year which was nearly two months ago.
Quote:A patch came out today fixing some of the pieces of the already-released Pocket D Valentines Club pack. Post release fixes are common in CoH and indeed, all MMOs. Paragon Studios has the decency to acknowledge problems, get feedback, make adjustments, announce plans and timing of fixes, and follow through... something you don't find in too many other MMOs.
Freedom/Marketing may put some quick deadlines into place, but the studio has totally picked it up and gone back to make sure they are fixing and improving things.
There was a brief bit where I was concerned about this, but they have removed that concern from me.
Quote:Sorry if i missed it, but wich powersets can use the sword?
edi: Found it on beta forum - only DB/BS. Lame.
If it really is not showing in there, it may be a bug.
EDIT:
Quote:That info seems to be outdated. I saw the sword as an option for Katana and Ninja Blade, too. -
Quote:I know Zwill did confirm this set would not be implemented that way a few days ago in a post... possibly in a Super Packs thread, but I'm not positive which one... no searching for it from me today!Excellent!
Source?
Or am I being charmingly naive to even ask? -
Yeah, I am not convinced that they're too big, myself. Certainly only a slight amount (as most have really been suggesting anyway), if at all. I'll leave it to the artists to experiment and figure out what looks right.
One thing that matters is also how it looks in flight. Much smaller may look wrong when horizontal.
We'll see... I'm sure the final result will be great.
Also, I would definitely love an opaque option for the helmet. -
Alevan, yeah, no worries, they are known issues and will be fixed without having to buy anything more.
I'll grab the link in a sec, but they said last night that the updates and fixes would be coming with Issue 22.
I do agree that they could have handled this better... I'm not crazy about how they've been willing to put unfinished/buggy stuff up for sale in the store, but... they've been doing it. On one hand, it's cool to get the stuff that does work great now (and then the rest will come in a little bit), but - on the other hand - it might be okay for someone like me that follows this stuff and understands that they know it is buggy and have fixes coming down the pipe... what about someone who just buys it before learning this? Not so good, I'd imagine.
Anyways... in the end (should be pretty soon), everything will be there and it'll be all fixed.
Regardless, it is a nice set. I do, also, understand the complaints.
EDIT:
Here's Zwill's confirmation from last night:

Just had to post again to say... I had to come back here and gaze at these WIP images again!
I can't recall being this stoked for an upcoming costume set before...

WOOOOHOOOO!!!!
These look GREAT! I'm so looking forward to this set and it looks fantastic AND you've been adding even more pieces and really great, smart options!!!!
Thank you so much for the sneak peak!! I know it's always a little worrisome to share WIP of your stuff (especially to such a large... vocal... audience), but these kick retro-scifi-space butt!!!!!
Awesome job, Dink!!
Oh, oh... I wondered if there was any way at all to possibly make a Bubble Helmet with a covering inside over the bottom half of the face... that way characters who may have beards (or whatever else they may usually have as a signature piece from Detail 2) might be able to get away with wearing these! I completely understand if it can't happen, but I just wanted to get the idea out there. -
Quote:Haha... and here I thought it was because he'll always be considered a great Yankee!...
Rickey Henderson won out in the end since he is ocnsidered one of the greatest lead-off hitters of all time as well as one of the greatest base-runners of all time. His 4 stints with the A's will have him forever in green and yellow in my memory.
War Mace with the Baseball Bat? -
I'd certainly not delete the existing character, but I'd see and make sure that the new powerset truly did realize the character (and my enjoyment of that character) better than what I had previously...
If the new powerset did work out best, I'd then figure out what I wanted to do with the old/existing character... Re-purpose them into a new/different character or come up with a slightly different name to have the same character represented with two different ATs/Powersets.
With your example:
I might end up with Super Beastlord (the Tanker) and Super Beast Lord (the Master Mind)... Possibly renaming the Tanker first, to give the MM the version I liked best (in this example, if the name is available, I don't see the point).
Having two avatars to play as the same character can be a lot of fun and can allow you to bring the same character that you love, while enjoying and/or contributing two very different game-play experiences.
I, personally, would only do that if the concepts work for both powersets/ATs.
In my mind... Super Beast Lord could still be one heck of a fighter without his beastly followers! -
Aw, please do give a shout some time, Beastyle!
It was always great to see and talk to you in game and on the forums!
Zox'Oculox says... well something, but it just sounded like a series of belches and gargling... But we were just talking about the time you ran into him in Pocket D and you told me you and some of the team were just talking about him at lunch!!
That and I was hoping you'd come along on some more Base Tours with Dechs and I!
Hope to see you around! -
Oh... Also...
EDIT:
This would make a nice forum avatar for you...
