4 Month update:
Weight 222, down 38lbs
Bodyfat down to 27.5%
Doing a 5k walk/jog every week and loving it.
Switched to free weights and pumping arms heavily now, not looking to shabby for a 40 year old gamer!
Still not smoking, but still averaging one lb. a week weight loss.
Trying to ramp up more running, wanting to get to 200 by Christmas. (original goal was 230)
And most importantly, I'm having fun for the first time in a long time. -
Thank you all for the birthday wishes!
Turned the big 4-0 this year and celebrated by running a 5k!
40 years old and I can still kick @$&!!
*But because of the diet, no cake, no bacon, only treat was a homemade strawberry protein smoothie, and 3 hours at the gym. -
Way to go Kinrad!
And from doing my first 5k in a dismal 50 minutes, you rock! But, now I do a 5k every friday and keep shaving the time down each week. (40lbs down in 4 months but slowing)
Go tear up that half marathon!
*Throws a bottle of water from the sidelines* -
It's been over a month since my last update....
This week is the 3 month point on my personal transformation.
The new stats:
Weight: 228lbs, down 32 lbs.
Body fat %: 29% Down 6% (30% for men is considered obese) that makes me no longer obese!
Quit smoking on june 18, still not smoking.
waistline down 8 inches to 40 inches
can walk/jog a mile in about 12 minutes(first mile on treadmill was almost 19 minutes)
no longer wearing knee brace at work or while working out
Strong as HECK now, almost amazed by how I physically look and feel.
>Goals already reached : 30 lbs by Christmas...done! (3 months early)
Back pain: Eliminated thru exercise and muscle build up
Stop smoking: Done!
High blood pressure:Gone!
Borderline diabetic:not anymore!
Was all this easy? NO! But if you would like to change yourself, it is possible. Make that change today, dont wait. Everyone has that willpower, use it! -
Gratz on the new newb!
Visions of mini Pepsi sidekick.... -
Happy birthday to you all!

Guardian may be less populated, but the ratio of "not-so-nice" players to "friendly" players weighs much higher to the "firendly" player side.
If you are ever looking for teams, task force, strike force, etc your chances of getting players who are friendly and know what they are doing is much higher also.
Plus.....we have the best bacon. -
It's been a while since the last update, working out and trying to eat right has taken up a lot of time.
As of this morning weight is 230lbs. 30 lb loss since June 9th.
Body fat now down to 31%
Waistline is just under 40
Blood pressure is 116/76
Havent smoked since June 18th
Muscle mass growth is huge. Working out hard for 2 hours then an hour to 3 hours on a treadmill. And that workout is done a minimum of 5 days a week.
Put on an XXL shirt right off the rack at a store and it fit! It's been a really long time since something like that has happened to me
But one of the most important parts of this diet has become food/calorie intake. My day consists of 4 meals under 400 calories, and 2 smoothies that are 200 calories each (high protein) never eating more or less than 2000/day. My body is responding well now to the use of fat for energy during hard workouts.
At this pace, which I know will slow down with time, I should be just under 200lbs by Christmas. (Havent been under 200lbs since the age of 14)
This hasnt been easy, tons of willpower and motivation, 2 thing that have been lacking in me for a long time , but now they are here to stay.
Good luck to everyone else here as they try to attain personal goals. Or if anyone needs help to motivate to workout or eat right please let me know, would love to help

Finnaly hit a good weight loss week this past week. Just shy of 245lbs. so thats around 5 lbs this week. 15 so far!
Most was from eating correctly and correct times, never would have thought a small bowl of otameal would fill me up.
My wife has been doing well also, maybe not the eating right part, but she is doing a good job of strengthening and toning at the gym. I'm very proud of her -
My birthday is in October if anyone wants to send me one :P

All the hard workouts have added a lot of muscle, which in the long run will burn more fat.

Have found out that fruits and vegetables exist! Who knew?
