The zig is where we keep all the defeated villains, yet the building doesnt seem strong enough to keep superpowered beings from getting out.
My suggestion? Put a simple Forcefield around it that shows the fact that the villains are indeed stuck inside. Seems a bit odd to me that we capture a supervillain like frostfire who cant even escape from a simple building . . . . . .
Small graphical change but needed imo. -
Something fun and random and lots of them but small [10 - 20 mill each] prizes in a single day?
Or
One big competition with a BIG prize pot?
What would the EUnites prefer? -
Quote:Don't forget about the giant stone face hidden somewhere in the Shadow Shard. I found it once by accident. It's CREEPY!
ooooo saying that, theres a floating stone enemy in the shadow shard that gives you a MAJOR long debuff if you go near it!
Made me stop street [island?] sweeping for a while and gaze in awe at it! -
Quote:That would only work if the person had the ability to control his or her desires. I think it's safe to assume anyone in rehab has admitted the inability to do so. Sure, they could have computers you needed supervision to use and some sort of locking system, but then you're investing time and money into the systems, the personnel to monitor them, and other personnel to monitor all the residents to make sure they're not sneaking around or trying to hack whatever system is in place.
Granted, I think it's true one of the reasons rehab doesn't work for many is because it puts them in a bubble where they're not confronted by the temptations of their addictions and don't know how to handle them outside the bubble. But I think it is more beneficial to break the cycle of the addiction first, then gradually expose the person to the temptations with a support system in place than to hope the person will be able to cut back slowly at the beginning. That doesn't work for most people and they won't be able to establish a reasonable amount to cut back by or stick to it.
Thats how i would do it too, just [like you said] putting them in a bubble away from it isnt solving any problem, in fact it has the potential to make it worse for them.
At a guess, if this person is constantly in front of a computer then fitness wise they would be very unfit, so i would personally get them into some form of exercise daily routine. Sure the start would be tough but after a while the feel good factor comes into effect and they would have more confidence in joining the more physical activities. If you are just sitting constantly then you have no real desire/energy to go do anything outside really.
So many different methods of solving a problem like this, but i do think that this particular one has got to be one of the worst ways of dealing with it. -
Surely the best way to get over something is not to have it taken away for a while but to have it there and gradually cut back?
Though it is funny
Edit: Wonder if he'll turn up as a troll or a superhero? -
Beber!!!! Bonjour!!!
Miss you french people
By the way whats the secret isles on monster isle? All the others i've heard of except that one!
Not so much a secret because everyone knows about it and its out in the open, but the jurrasic park style monkey cage on monkey island always makes me laugh. -

PUGs that dont know what they're doing? THEY are the best kind of groups!!!
Groups that are perfect and have next to zero risk are just boring imo. One of the reason my ingame mates get annoyed at me from time to time, because i hardly team with them . . . . . . but i just love having a team thats nonstop carnage!!! [issue 16 = a whole new level of damz team carnage union/defiant so beware!!!]
I think so far in my time of the game i've been in many different "groups" as you put it.
Ultraviolet i started off in although since i was a new player i was the most quiet person ever.
S.E.C.R.E.T. then where i met people like yellow cat [great person!!! love teaming with this guy since its a guaranteed laugh]
Final Fight came along then and that was fun while it lasted
Paragons Hope where i was a main member for almost a year before well the group imploded from within and sadly a lot of us stopped talking to eachother . . . .
Finally . . . . . the people i met on one of my "random atlas nights" . . . .
Welcome to . . . . THE CRUISE!!!!
Think we had 3 whole days/nights of just nonstop random fun in atlas, what started off as a random drumroll ended up as a full blown atlas band, photos, just random stuff really!!!! The best part was that no-one in the whole thing even knew eachother but EVERYONE became great friends by the endSometimes pulling random people in random things can turn out to be the best memory of the game you have!!
Ah think i'll set up another one of those on the weekend, been a loud call for one of these by the original cruise members so why not! Woooooo -

Over in the EU we did a legends of the game list that people voted were the most popular/made the most difference both on the forums and in the game. I think by the end there was a very mature and precise list.
Think it went something like;
- Mothers love [probs the nicest person ingame!]
- Zortel [One of the main roleplayers in the EU]
- Salacious [EU's badge psycho]
- Tsumiju Zero [Rikti's main enemy]
- Ultimate regen ninja [helped a LOT of us lowbies out when we first started]
- Globey/rent [major pvpers]
- Illusion master [funny guide person]
- Tainted Greek [Welcome to the radio!]
- Coin [cameraman extradionnaire!]
- Psygon [not one person will say no to the style!]
- Golden girl [love her or not, shes always a pleasure to talk to ingame]

EU and proud baby!!! EU and proud!
Edit: underscore and proud too! -
-
Yup, because our dimension is the focal point of all dimensions. For some reason there is something in our world that draws the superpowered towards us, now if you cant make a story out of that . . . . .
-
If ANY of my characters dont have many temp powers i go out and get them some!
They are just cool!!!! -
Welcome red! Now wheres our hello?
-
Quote:Without putting them in ANY order? I would do it based on contributions, either to the GAME community or the FORUM community. So in NO order I present to you:
PK's List of Who SHOULD Be in the Top Ten Reputable Posters
- Zombie_Man - Guide Man!
- Memphis_Bill - Copy n Paste Man!
- Samuel_Tow - Foreigner who knows English better than most of us Man!
- Dark_Respite (what's with all the underscores huh? Ain't anyone ever heard of CamelCase???) - Video woMan!
- Arcanaville - Math woMan!
- Lady Athyna - Forum Mama err... woMan!
- BillZBubba - Indecent Demon Man! And Scrapper Soloist extraordinaire!
- FatherXMas - Player Question/Tech Answer Man!
- TonyV - ParagonWiki Man!
- And for the final spot, I want one Dev up there.... the dev that has the hardest job and get the least thanks I think - Castle.... Man!
I can defo agree on a few of them [not all though sadly].
Respite + arcanaville are both two of the most well known names in the game [both EU and US] so they deserve their place up there.
However throwing in an EU name or two i'ld 100% add mothers love to it since he has to be the most recognised/nicest player ingame on our shores.
Majority of others i feel though is a bit iffy on the whole "what exactly are we defining rep by?" -
Quote:I said official content, one that shows the backstory of the game and help takes it further. So far the last few mini arcs that the devs created are my favourite ones ingame, magic man arc had me in tears it was so good [which is why i want more of the same].MA is content.
A gigantic, foaming ocean of content, somewhat intimidating in its breadth and depth.
No, the devs didn't personally create the missions, but they did create the tools and turn players loose on them. Ignoring that reality is to use a worthlessly restricted definition of "content".
However, even though i love MA to bits there is simply far too much improvement needed on it to be truely classified as proper content. If i like an arc i have to write down the arc ID, otherwise i have a VERY low chance of finding it again. Whereas with official content, its always at the same person/same place thus letting you enjoy the content you want.
Us long time players want a new form of cake to eat, not the same old cake with a different toppin on -
Quote:Hey!
To anyone of the people I usually team with/talk to:
I'm currently without a computer and using a tin can with a piece of used string and some chewed chewing gum to post on the forums (well, it's a 6 year old laptop but for the effects of playing, the above description sorta fits).
So, I've not stopped playing or quit the game, it's just that I can't get in.
In other words: I ainted ded!
Merely dormant and might pounce on you and hug you when you least expect it...
PS - I miss you all! Except you. Yes, you. You know who you are.
I will like to take this moment to announce that blue rabbit has passed the baton of the carrot on to me
[hurry back!!!!!]
Edit: You know it would've been funnier if i just posted "i see dead people"missed chance!

Quote:NEW content? yes.Two years ago from today we were still in month one of Issue 10 so you are saying all that was in Issues 11-15 was 2 TFs and a small handful of dev created content?
Your definition of content must be quite constrained.
MA does not = official content. This coming from a player who loves playing the MA to its intended purpose.
3 taskforces, midnighter + cimerora MINI arcs [each can be completed in well under an hour] and the repeatable hollows radio style missions.
Oh and ouroboros was old content [apart from the mini tfs]. Basically issue 11 - 16 has been purely QoL/dev content light issues no matter which way you look at it.
I LOVE the QOL changes, just wish they gave us some new things to try the new changes out on that cant be completed on the first PUG you go on when it goes live -
Quote:Because in two years we've had 2 tfs and a very small handfull of dev created contentI dunno what people are whining about.
Issues are coming out more frequently than in the past- who cares what size they are? It's 'free' content!
We have a paid expansion that should cover a lot of ground in the pipeline, we're getting power customization for pete's sake....I just don't see much to gripe about on the topic of recent issues. -
Quote:Turning my rep back off again until something is done, just because I don't want to be in "that company". Aside from Steelclaw who's sitting at #9, the top 10 are now ALL fake reppers. Have fun at the "top" guys!
Serious question, who do YOU personally think should be in the top 10 players list of CoX?
