Quote:Seems like an easy fix would be to make them unhittable by any players on the shore, similar to how WoW's evading mobs work when you are standing somewhere they can't hit you but you can hit them. Within the confines of how CoH already works, could have just given them extremely high ranged defense or something to that effect.Up until it was determined that because sharks couldn't leave the water that players would undoubtedly herd them up, lead them back to the beach, and then slaughter them for risk-free XP.
The idea of a ranged attack was kicked around, but after the friggin' lasers was veto'd that whole project lost a lot of steam.
Or just could have made them completely unkillable, and keep them pretty far away from the shore? I don't see what would be so hard about that. Basically like patrolling police drones, but instead of zapping you with their teleport beams, they would just eat you. -
Quote:Yeah, I don't think this is on purpose.Tanker Ice Melee/Ice Sword has a weird animation artifact on the sword that juts out at a 90 degree angle from the hilt on occasion, when you select the Ice Sword power customization.
Just looks the aura is separated from the sword itself.
Also, another thing: if you activate Prestige Power Slide while running, you will continue using the regular run animation while the purple Slide aura still appears around your feet. This persists until you come to a full stop and start moving again. A minor annoyance, but an annoyance nonetheless. -
Get the AE building out of AP, and this would make me a happy camper.
Because then maybe, maybe people would start playing the rest of the game again, since I believe a major part of the allure of the mission architect was that everyone was auto-SK/exemplar'd to the mission's level.
I always figured they would just get rid of that feature from the architect eventually to help kill the overwhelming farming, but I suppose rather than making the architect more like the rest of the game, they can just make the rest of the game more like the architect.
Which is kind of scary thought, actually.
But still. Is there anything else coming down the pipes for getting people out of the AE building and into what might ironically be referred to as "fresh air?" -
Ah, nice to see this. I was busy over the last Double XP weekend, as seems to be the case every last weekend of July, so I'm definitely glad for a second chance.
Especially with the new powersets and whatnot!
Fantastic. -
This is, once again, an update to the Justice Strike Force's information.
It's like we've been around a while, or somethin'.

:NEW: SG Website: www.thejsf.com
Ventrillo/Teamspeak Server: None, as of right now, though we are looking into this.
SG Recruiters: Any members you see can invite you, but you can search for these people: Dark Insanity, Justice Reaper, Caveman Etc, Cat in da Hat, Man of Elements, Forever Dreamer
SG Peak Hours: Evenings EST weekdays; Random times over weekends and holidays. Now with summer vacation, members are becoming increasingly common during the day on weekdays, as well.
Other Info: The Justice Strike Force has members of all archetypes and levels, and are happy with casual or hardcore heroes. Our ranking system is based on Prestige earned, so as long as you're fighting in SG mode you'll climb up through the ranks, though you are in no way required play in SG mode.
We also feature a fully functional base, including a med center, a workshop full of crafting and storage items, and a telepad bay with links to nearly all of Paragon's zones. We also have strong coalitions, and a new website at www.thejsf.com (where you can view our base, as well).
We do have an SG uniform, which you can view on the website, but it is only required for higher ranking members at JSF-run events.
Please see our website for more information or for alternative contact methods. We hope to hear from you soon! -
Yes, Ventrillo would definitely be what I would go with, but I'm still trying to find a well priced, dependable host. Also, the chat stuff has kind of been moved down the to-do list for now, as I work on our current site.
Thanks for the input, though, and the PayPal thing sounds good-- I just need to work it all out. -
This is (yet another) update to the Justice Strike Force's information.
