Good to know. I'll save whatever purples end up dropping for me for other alts (usually about 2 per year). Think I'm going to replace Serendipity with Luck of the Gambler. Higher Regen and more HP for same # of enhancements, just more money. Also going to replace plain IOs with sets like Numinas instead of normal Heals.

Hey, Whisky. Thanks for posting. I appreciate all your advice and will take it all to heart during my next respec. I picked Shockwave because it's nice when you're getting overwhelmed to brush them all away so you can pop an inspiration while they're getting up. Resurgence, well, I solo a lot and that gets me boosted better than a wakey, leaves me untouchable long enough to start up some defenses, and gives me a boost of endurance. I'm not terrible at scrapping, just bad at being the pseudo-tank when no one else is around. But I will try with your layout and see how it goes. As for costs, I know good things cost, I'm not too poor and I do aspire to purple-dom.

This week: My Claw/Willpower scrapper. I plan to do a respec to him anyway to move some slots around and have built up a small pile of cash to buy some IOs with. The power layout is not representative of the correct order I've taken them. It only shows what I have. When I respec, I will be following whatever advice I receive here. As usual, thanks in advance.

Thanks for a look at yours, Maelwys. Here's a variant on yours I tried in Mid's. The only down side is no travel power. I would miss flying, but if I'm on a team with a Kin for SB or a porter, then it's no problem. Weave gives an almost 8% defense improvement, so it might be worth the trade-off. Most all of the IOs I ended up copying off yours because I saw what you were trying to do there and it made sense. Wish someone would've walked me through all this when IOs first came out.

I appreciate the (finally!) replies.
I've heard of Mid's but never looked at it (hence my typing it all out). By redesigning, I meant using a respec to move the slots and enhancements to allow me to perform better. But, then again, that what most anyone would do when given good advice. I'll see if I can get some time to get it.
As for the Taunt IO sets, I mostly got them for the regen bonuses and the Psi damage. I've been told that there are limits to the bonuses you can have but no one has been able to explain it well. I was under the impression that it was limitless. That is also why I need advice to design by.
As for caps, I don't know what they are set at let alone what a soft cap is. Tell you what, I'll go ahead and do the Mids now and post it in here. Maybe then people can tell me exactly what I'm slotting wrong and what I should slot to be the best I can be. Specific IO advice is also welcome.

Greetings, all. I am looking for help in tweaking my Axe/WP Tank. I know there are guides and I've read as much as I could stand, few of those guides cover Axe, most cover stone, and almost none talk about what IOs/slots really help out, number-wise.
Anyway, I am posting my layout here in the hopes that someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong and what I should do to improve it. I have plenty of respecs available so I can move slots, powers, and IOs around. Basically, I want to be as durable as possible. I don't have any hard numbers and have no clue how to really figure them out, but the Rikti Pylons deal 124x4 damage to me and seem to only hit me 30-60% of the time. I have recently found out that you can't have as many regen bonuses as you want, I thought you could. So, now I have to rebuild and redesign and am hoping some of you experts out there are willing to aid me. As I said above, I'm not rich (I've heard of some people with Billions in influence), but I should have enough to get most of the things needed and can work towards the rest.
I am somewhat durable, but I know that I can be better but I just can't figure out what IO/slot combinations will allow me to be a better tank to teams I am on. Thank you for your time and assistance.
